Cast on looks terrible and row 2 makes no sense. I have tried multiple times now with 64 stitches (adult small), doing everything according to your pattern/video. It never looks like what you make in the video.

I tried just knitting extra large socks as a stocking and was disappointed with the results. After watching your video, I now know why - simply knitting an over-sized sock didn't provide the structure necessary to maintain a nice shape. Your explanation makes so much sense. Thank you!

Love this pattern. Just a small note that there is a missing step in the video at minute 31. You skip the second CDD and jump right to the end of round 1.

I am having a hard time getting the left thumb correct. I'm not understanding how to do it! Is it mirrored to the right mitten?
