Nordhouse Dunes 2024
Starting at the Nordhouse Dunes trailhead, I hiked along the Lake Michigan shoreline to the Big Sable Point Lighthouse. From there I hiked several Ludington State Parks trails that were all very well marked. From there my luck turn as I entered the Nordhouse National Forest Wilderness area. No trail marking. Thanks to the "AllTrails" route that I was following. It guided me back to the trailhead. Other than that problem, it was a beautiful hike.

New River Gorge National Park fact-finding mission. I will be leading a group of "Hilltop Hikers" in October. During this and one other exploration trip I'll set up a collection of hikes and other activities to keep us smiling during a weeklong adventure.

Many hills. 2,300' of elevation change.
I was there walking from north end to south at first. Saw sun come up that was beautiful. Had not been there since 2006 and thought the busses would ferry me back to north end. Wrong! Was told they cant leave until 12:00 .Decided to go across again ! Glad I did got 2 certificates this time and some sore feet but a good memory. Thanks for this video !
