What to Know Before Using Weight Machines
มุมมอง 12921 วันที่ผ่านมา
There is frequently a divide between people who prefer lifting freeweights vs. those who like working out on machines. There are actually benefits to both, but before you use workout machines, don't forget to adjust them. Failing to adjust a machine to your body size makes as much sense as buying a pair of shoes without trying them on first. Video credits:yThe Simpsons

Lose Weight To Dunk Better

    Amm I think its not just the courts that are the problem because the courts are available in the capital city Accra but the balls to play especially for the kids who are interested in the game they don't get the money to buy the ball and even when they get the money they don't know where to buy

      My currently standing verticle jump is only 21". I haven't measured a running approach for a while. Training has mostly been playing basketball, but also doing plyometrics, and weight lifting. I have a hard time following many vertical jump programs, because they are so intense and I keep getting injuries, so I have to scale back a bit and take it slower than I'd like.

    Repeating content from various angles ooover and over is a common practice in Korean variety TV culture. While this may be perceived as tedious for Western audiences, those accustomed to Korean TV often find it so ingrained that they forget it's not the standard elsewhere 😅

    I just finished season 1 and loved it. I found myself rooting for the underdogs every time. I totally agree with what you said about the use of the word "physique." I too wondered if it was a translation thing. Especially after hearing athletes thank their parents for giving them their physique. Their parents gave them good genes maybe, but a good physique takes work and seems to describe a body's appearance more than its abilities. I loved the variety of contestants and unique skills they had based on their particular sports and training. Still, it seemed like it came down to the event more than the athletes abilities that determined the winners. The bodybuilders did poorly in endurance and the endurance athletes lacked brute strength. Depending on what you were asked to do could make or break you despite your athleticism. Overall, I loved this show! Thanks for the great review!

  • @1Dreamking
    @1Dreamking 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I love this show. And I especially love to see how respectful they are even when they at the same time can be very blunt about some things that would be considered mean in western culture and even though some can be really cocky they stay humble and see their own misstakes and/or how they underestimated their opponents and still cheer for the ones that stand no chance and really show respect for those that do not give up even though they are getting "crushed". The no regards of age, sex or race is an interesting form since there are not so many games done like that anywhere else and everyone have to face "the same" challenges. But yes I kinda agree with you that it is a bit "unfair" in that regards that in some events/challanges the women just don't stand a chance. Sure, in some challenges some women have crushed some men or at least put up a really good fight but atm considering the challenges in season 1 and 2 I can't see a woman winning it. And yes some of the contestant just have a "bad pick of the draw" and end up in a team where 1 contestant pulls them down or you just get faced with someone in a 1 vs 1 where you just can't win. (But to win the whole thing, sooner or later one would have to be able to beat the impossible in some shape or form.) In that regards season 2 was very interesting considering the contestant that came back from season 1 and kinda showed what he could do if he just got pass that first 1 vs 1 elimination. I am so impressed with these ppl's motivations and fighting spirit. And it is a wonder there isn't more injuries than it is considering how rough / all in they go. But still so much respect and passion and love. This season I cried a few times for contestants that failed and I could see how much it meant for them or how it hurt inside their misstakes etc. I just like so many of these people. and how they treat eachother. And their own reflections and efforts makes the "drama" not all the backstabbing and trashtalking and scheeming that is in other "western" reality shows. Just effort and a will to do well. Yes sure, there are some tactical choices in forming teams and reforming them which could be seen as disloyalty but it is a competition to do well. But by picking the strongest it will also give you bigger challanges in the future. Cause in the end, there can be only one. I love it. But I totaly hear your critique and it is totaly valid.
