We've just come back from New Wine (a UK Christian festival) . I was helping with our church youth group. Wondering what would be a novel way of waking the kids up, and hit on this song, which I sang round their tents. 'Wake up you slumbering!' Perfect! I don't know about the kids but I certainly got blessed, and wonderfully made a way where stood a few walls. Gloria Deo.

2 points I love in this - first❤ she starts off singing in the natural, then she meets with God at 1.44 and her face lights up. From then on she's in love and praise. Second ❤ when she runs out of words at 6.37 she just shifts up into tongues and takes it to another level.

This song reminds me to get.my eyes off myself and worship Jesus in spirit and truth. That is what the Bible calls us to do. It's not about the singer, how good it sounds, etc. Worshippers have to worship God in Spirit and Truth. Not in the flesh. Kim Walker is exceptional here. She worships Jesus alone.. Not about what she can get, but to give God alone all the honor, all the glory. That is what true worship is about. Not about ourselves.
