Hey. Saw your Highland vid and commented on that. I was probably at highland within a couple of days of you. And I’m pretty sure my son and I were at Loon the very day of this vid (we were there 7/11, 7/13 and 7/14). My son has had exactly as much DH experience as me, but whereas I have to make myself commit on those Hopper jumps, he is already hitting most of the bigger stuff on Kingpin. I guess it helps to be 16 and fearless. I’ll repeat my highland comment: I think if you can keep up the posts, this will make a great channel. Think about 2-5 years from now when you’re hitting all the jumps on Kingpin. I think a lot of folks at our current skill level (you and I are about the same I think) will really dig seeing the progression from noob to shredder. Keep it up! Subscribed.

Yeah. I think at least one more multi-day trip to Loon (it’s a 2.5 hour drive for us). Also planning some day trips to Thunder Mountain. That place looks pretty cool and I want to check it out.

1) You look like the homie Tyler Childers 2) I come from Moto, and was told during my formative years to pretend the front brake wasn’t there. Terrible advice, and terrible habits built. I recently started doing MTB in earnest, and when my back brakes wore out, I decided to NOT replace them, to force myself to build front brake skill and feel. Maybe not the smartest idea, but it has worked.
Hahah I’ve been told I look like him before! And yeah I really need to work on the front brakes. I’m usually good about it on tech but flow not so much

Your developing a bad habit by not using your front brake. Using and modulating both brakes simultaneously is an essential skill for riding at speed... I enjoyed your video. Killington is a great place

No lifts here in S Louisiana and we ride in 98F and 75% or more humidity. We are crazy heat acclimated. Hard part is drinking enough water and electrolytes to stay hydrated. Love it but e-bikes might be in our future to give us more ride time in the summer heat.

Awesome vid. She did great! For a first date, I took my future wife on a MTB ride in the pouring rain. Been married 27 years since and we ride almost every weekend. I’m the downhill bomber and my wife is a speed demon on climbs. We are in our 50’s and riding faster and jumping better than ever. 👍👍
BTW, my wife rides that same color T8 with some minor mods. 🔥🔥

Berms = lean body and bike; flat turns = lean just the bike. That’s my usual approach anyway. 👍
And get low into the bike with knees bent and elbows bent and not tucked in. A bit like skiing.

Use that front brake!! once you can stop confidently you’ll feel a lot better about trying more difficult trails
Looking sharp... get in that drop progression it will make the tech feel better and also maybe try and adjust in those brake levers looks like they are a bit of a stretch to get and get in the habit of a finger on both brakes you will have so much more control..

Nice riding! Killington is awesome! Was just there last week. I rode Goat Skull for the first time as well. As far as Double Black trails go, it's pretty tame really, but lots of fun! Wish I would have ridden it a few more times and gotten more comfortable with it! PS... I wish I was only 2 hours away! I'm an 8.5 hour drive!
Love laps at Killington! I second trying K1 especially cable trail and Foxy Roxy for some easier slabs and some fun flow
compress start of transition ... push through the jump... bring up your knees , the bike will follow. Got to take the K1 to the top.. Crazy tech is up there. Cable drop is a blast as well .

You need 35mm bars for the polygon. That is the bar size not the rise measurement.
