So weird to see TTC look so different from how it would end up. I kinda like the circular focus that that design had versus what we ended up with. Sure, it's a lot easier to cross through, but I like the low walls and the abundance of trees. Feels like a real park with a sidewalk surrounding it for all the main buildings. I do like the gazebo we have, tbh.
Crazy how much this game had a hold on my childhood as well as Pirates of the Caribbean Online and Roblox. I joined all of them in 2008 and had seem them all change for better or worse, it's kind of crazy to see them grow or die with you.
I always thought the green/blue/orange/white color scheme of Toontown was oddly familiar. While seeing this video, I think I realized that the colors were based off of IDLE's colors (one of the first Python IDEs)! Honestly I can't think of another reason why they would have gone with such weird colors for the friends GUI and name display lol
Isn't it ironic how this guy says 2002 was nostalgia in 2008 in this video but now 2008 would be huge nostalgia for him now that's it stupi and ugli 2020
It’s so weird to see the old toons. Old clothing. The toons with names with all capitals, all lowercase, or even numbers. It’s so sad. :( plus, I love how the mask on that bunny made its ears go down.
Ahhh... the magical world of TTO Beta, when: TTC was a circular playground MML had a merry-go-round-like platform fishing, racing, gardening and golfing were not yet implemented there weren't as many districts the HQ in the BRRRGH was still a walk-through igloo nametags were orange Toon buildings had unique wallpapers in-game glitches were mainstream cog HQs weren't released yet, so it showed the cog names, not the cog types DDL Donald didn't have a nightgown and cap Each neighborhood had "safe tunnels" you stood up on the trolley ...and the memories were made :)
The old ttc playground looked better. the new one i always didn't like. its unnecessarily large and was took a long time to get to the destination in the playground.
such fitting music. also it's weird to think that the kids that are playing in this video are adults now, like early 20's to early 30's. Most would probably be 25, though.
Hello, guys! I'm [Insert your Toon name that nobody cares about and will forget within 10 seconds] and I used to play this game [Insert a value no higher than 14] years ago! I remember [Insert one or more of your memories of Toontown Online that is most likely impossible for anyone to not be able to relate to and will be used as fuel in the hearth of the Nostalgiafag Castle fireplace], it was very [Insert a positive but relatively uncommon adjective to please the hipster overlords]. I didn't bother to Google this question, and so I'd like to ask, can I still play Toontown? What all have I missed? Thanks in advance, and remember: [Insert one of those mega cringe pro-Toon phrases the original developers thought up as well as one or more of those emoticons an emo weaboo brony uses hourly].Now it's time for you to spice it up. Go through everything and switch up some of the vowels in the words, as well as completely removing a couple, to your heart's content. Now you're ready to (re)introduce yourself like a true professional!
hey man, fuck you. why do you have such an issue with people enjoying themselves and reminiscing on a game they used to enjoy? toontown has had an impact on many people, and it's nice to look back on videos like these and relive good memories. you must live a very sad existence if you think you're being cool and edgy by mocking people.
Those club penguin fanboys will never understand the beauty of something so beautifully life-defining.
the war still rages on huh
I watched this video back in the day, oh the memories!
