So I took the DJI pocket 3 to a winery over the weekend , tried out the low light mode , I must admit I was partaking in some wine , so I wasn’t paying attention to my shutter speed and was probably shooting in auto settings a lot , some of it looked great some has some flickering , this will be addressed in a possible future video. @streetlegends well , I have only purchased The freewell mega kit . There are other options. I was thinking of doing a review of the mega kit but there are a lot of filters in that pack and it’s a bit pricey. Essentially you’ll only need up to 64 nd imo unless you’re doing long exposure Timelapse in daylight

I think i prefer the pocket dispo better but i think I would like to see the dispo lens in more motion shots; super retro and nostalgic looking and I think it could make an awesome video : )

Thank you for video. but 3:18 canon r8 dissapointing me with stll too contrasty videos right out of the camera. My ancient A7R2 makes video more sharp , with adjustable low contrast? and skintones better with Samyang 45mm without any magenta that appearred in Sony A7iii cameras
I can see what you’re saying , I would say it’s a little over exposed , I was using a sigma 1.4 35 so it’s a little softer on the image. Thanks for watching !
You should only shot in log if you are going to color grade. No one in the cinema industry uses raw log footage.
I agree , I generally color grade my stuff but the conversion lut for DJI looks good on its own especially for videos like vlogs and whatnot . Thanks for watching !!
Right from the start, profile A looked a lot better. Now, the real advantage of Dlog-M is the ability to color grade the footage. In my opinion, if you're just turning it to rec709, then it won't really make must of a difference which one you use.
I would agree with that , and honestly most people who pick up this camera probably wont color grade anyway. But , it does looks better than the standard profile even just turning it to rec. anyway , thanks for watching and commenting !!

Are both Normal and D-Log 10bit? Were they processed using 10bit settings while grading?
Normal color profile is 8 bit , d-log is 10 bit I edit them as original files and do a 2 pass encode when exporting , Final Cut

Probably the freewell nd 8, 16, 32. Was testing out a few

My sleep has improved 100% , I never realized how much my nose affected the quality of sleep I was getting . I actually feel well rested after sleeping now.

A looks like a professional camera, and B looks like a phone camera that's a little too bright and too sharp with some processing ... but I think the average person wouldn't be able to tell the difference

@nerdlogiccreations3897 oh boy ,, I do remember saying probably not strong for attaching to cars !!!! I am going to do a car mount in the next installment , need a strong suction cup , looking at one from small rig
@@traver no I definitely would NOT advise using it as a car mount. There are plenty of suction cup options. One is a “MovMax” suspension arm and it works incredible. There also another that’s a multi-suction cup rig that I have. That’s awesome too. I’m just going to use this magnet around the garage like the tool benches and what not for some footage.
@nerdlogiccreations3897 good , I’m glad you actually didn’t trust the magnet on your whip lol . I was legit worried for your camera safety
I knew it off the bat right when you switched on the first scene because Normal profile is a lot more sharp and contrasty than D-Log, especially on faces. I honestly wish you could go lower on the sharpness on the normal profile even more. It is subtle, but looks quite a bit closer to the look I get out of my more expensive mirrorless. In watching your comparison, I think Normal is doing a subtle amount of HDR processing. It looks good at first, but it not the most realistic. This is why in home theater setups, you always turn the sharpness down on the television but in the show room, they crank it up so it "pops."
Yeah it is quite noticeable from d log to normal, I went down two stops on the sharpness on the d log profile but the normal mode I didn’t switch it I just checked my camera. Normal color mode kinda drowns out the blacks and that makes it look extra saturated in my opinion , and I didn’t color grade the d log I just threw on the standard lut . It’s an extra step but the image looks better on log . Thanks for watching and commenting!!
It's my understanding that the D log setting is for those that are gonna do contrast and color correction in an editor using luts and other tools. If you're not gonna do post production color editing do not use D log
This is very true , but it also does deliver a slightly better picture. I like the way the standard Osmo pocket 3 lut looks , I feel that the normal profile is a bit too much contrast for me . But yes you are right.
I preferred the look of B. Even seemed like a bit more detail in your facial hair in B.
Yeah the normal color mode is definitely a solid shooting profile . I might have to check the camera because I’m not sure if I reduced sharpness in both settings I know I did for d log . Thanks for watching !!
Pro mist filter is for night time why wouls you use daytime ...
It’s not actually just for night time , although you will see its effects more in night time use , it just diffuses the hard light and softens it giving it a nice glow

@tuyenkimm for this video I used the black pro mist made by DJI . It is a 1/4 . On my big camera I use the 1/2 . I love the mist effect. Thanks for watching !!

Profile a was d log , I noticed that the regular color mode adds a little bit more saturation and the d log really helps the shadows . Thanks for watching !!

I'd be REAL scared to trust that with such a delicate camera. I use the Action 4, a GoPro 10, and even an Insta360 X3 as dash cams, but I am confident they can handle the small tumble if the mount fails. That gimbal will NOT be so lucky. But for the price? Why not?!
Yeah , honestly my first thought at that price was like , no way this is good , but that suction cup ain’t messing around , usually I just lay my canon r8 on the dash , this felt safer but still Makes me nervous , I was looking into some small rig stuff . Thanks for watching !

Sweet! I have a couple of other mounts, like the sleeve that goes over the Pocket 3 then connects to those GoPro mount things in the back, but it's a wonky set up on my dash. I'm a storm chaser and that stable looking hyperlapse is exactly what I want to do with it in the car. Props!

I used the canon 16-35 f4 , the canon 70-200 f2.8 and the sigma 35mm 1.4 art lens, all are ef lenses adapted to fit the eos rf mount. Thanks for watching !!

@@traver there is an issue with ur audio mixing cus it does sound thin and sounds pretty low quality it sounds like you have some kind of noise gate that might be affecting it
@11rayyan11fire yeah, I recorded it off of my streaming pc on a go xlr , I have it mixed to sound good while game streaming. Also am I an audio professional , no lol , but thanks for watching and for now making me want to dust off my audio engineering books
You can frame your face in different positions.. You need to read the instructions or look at other you tube videos..After using it for a few days you will start to see how good it and the mics are..

I did , I got the creator kit . Everyone is hyping up how good the battery life is , I’m not seeing anything spectacular.
