Interesting! I'm on the same quest: finding the ideal barefoot shoe. Here's my laundry list - shoe must be/have: 1 barefootish (the trinity: zero drop, roomy toebox, flexible sole) 2 all terrain sole, with non slipper tread 3 usable in all seasons + allweather , without sweating or freezing 4 cleanable easily 5 longliving 6 resolable 7 repurchasable (that's a biggie) 8 zero pressure points 9 stylish After having spent zillions on dollars on various brands and models, I can say with certainty: Such shoes do currently not exist.-)
Stick steel wool in the muffler and cover it with header wrap.
2:50 that's called a voltage regulator. Usually a $30 part online, it's responsible for charging the battery from the starter generator.
I make my own boots, because there were no good zero drop options back then. I've made seven pairs so far, I think. The only machine I've had is a spindle sander. I saddle stitch the entire boot by hand, takes a long time. I started off making moccasins but since I got lasts I've used the Norvegese construction method. I've probably spent thousands making boots, and I still don't have a pair I'm happy with. Me and and my brother both wear boots I made, they're super tough, but the last wasn't right. I recently ordered a pair of custom lasts from a company that 3D prints them, and I'm planning to make chukka boots or maybe a pair of cowboy type boots. I only make zero drop boots. I would say I'm passionate about making boots, and I've thought about maybe opening a one-man boot shop once I master my craft, but the way I make them now, I'd have to charge over a grand for a pair, because it's a lot of time and labor hand-stitching everything. If you ever own your own shoe company, maybe I could work for you haha
"Dad haircuts" save money & are generally better than barber haircuts.
Have you tried African Rangers Barefoot Jim Green?
😮
Wow awesome bed!!
Hi, what is the name and brand of the wireless switch? Where can I find/buy it? Thanks!
Mint
That looks like a 4 in flange?
Their website states that the shoes are 3E width, which would count as “extra wide”. So probably less ideal for a narrow/normal footed person who wants a snugger fit.
How do you size these boots? And how much are they?
I do believe they have a sizing chart somewhere on their website. They’re currently $249. bearfoot.store/collections/boots
Vivo Gobi Boots & Jim Green African Ranger Barefoot Boots are also great barefoot boot options
BEWARE!! Bad boots. Bad Customer service. I figured the comments here needed some realistic balance. Ordered two pair. One for my son and one for me. Returned my sons for stitching. They were good about that return, no problem. However, now the leather insole has become scrunched up and folded inside for apparently no reason. I just found out about that and haven't addressed that with Barefoot yet. My boots had the same problem with sole separation and stitching but to a lesser degree. I contacted customer service and they were like " I can send you a repair kit and you can do it your self or you could send them in but it'll take two weeks" . I said "cool, Id rather you guys fix them" because they were just a couple months old. I waited a couple weeks with no answer and so I emailed. They said they their repair guy was on vacation and they would get back to me the following Monday. Monday comes and goes but I give it a few days I finally emailed and was ignored for about a month and a half and 5 more emails. I finally opened a new ticket and was ignored for a couple more weeks or so. They said they they could figure out what was going on with my boots. I was pissed off by now and sent a terse email asking about a refund. Finally they send me a refund and then later an email with a "why are you so mad" sort of tone. F - these guys. Save your money for a better shoe company like Xero or Lens. They sucked to wear even before they started coming apart.
Mine bunched up too but as I wore them and broke in the leather I stopped noticing it. Even as I switch to different shoes/boots and back to them they remained comfortable.
Nice! That’s great! I did like the Bruin. I just wish they had different width sizes that would fit my narrower feet. I’m glad they worked for you. 👍🏼
Maybe you just never bought wide shoes before to allow your feet to widen, also are you really going to complain about a 3/8 gap from a shelf bought shoe.. And I'd love to see you create the perfect shoes yourself, enough procrastinating, get your family in on it if you want to create in life, don't let that passion die and the landfill plastic throwaway companies rise, we need more of you
It’s on the horizon. 👍🏼 I have a few other priorities to fulfill first, but I’m heading that direction. 😎
Thanks, very helpful!
Glad you found the solution on my channel. 👍🏼
Thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful. 👍🏼
What kind of boots are the ones you redid the heal on?
Otz boots
Jim Green boots, and they do custom if needed
How do they feel after three months?
Are they more comfertable with thick socks?
Why did you not purchase new lems boots?
Not long after I did this video, I bought some new Lems. I don’t have much money. I’ve got 4 kids, and I have a rather low income, so I don’t have much to spend on myself.
What are your favoride shoes?
I wear Lems.
What shoes do you wear?
I wear Lems. I have mostly worn the Boulder Boot.
@sirdoitall7662 How would you compare these bearfoot bruins to the lems Boulder boot and which do you prefer?
You shold meke more shoe videos
You’re right. If I can get my own shoe business going, I could devote more time to making shoe videos. 😎 Or if I can get my channel monetized, that would help as well. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for sharing, I'm planning on picking up a pair of these once I save some extra money. Did the issue of fit ever work itself out? I'm weary of boots that only fit snug with pressure points. My Vivobarefoot trackers fit comfortably, but they've since discontinued them. These look like they'd be perfect for what I'm after.
I returned them because my feet are just too narrow for the Bruin design. If you have wide feet, I am sure that they would break in well enough. Thanks for the comment.
Great video, love your attention to detail and passion talking about it. But just a small remark: Don't let yourself get distracted from the thing the video is about, you spent a good portion randomly talking about other things and personal projects that even though are interesting, are not what we clicked on this for. You could have easily turned this into 3 videos: Bruin boots, your personal artisanal shoes, and shoe mods you made.
Thanks for the comment, and suggestion. 😎
Damn thats cool as hell man! What do you intend to use it for? I was thinking a spare house key but that's a lot of storage space. I'd imagine if you told delivery drivers to leave packages in there they might not understand how to open it. Only other thing I can think of is it would be a cool place to put umbrellas though lol

I know, right! LOL 😂 But I know there won’t be a call back. Thanks for visiting my channel. 😄
I can say the tightness on your toes does not get any better. I'm a 14 and with socks, ot was brutal. I needed a 15. Bearfoot's customer service was incredible, but they have some rough spots to work on.
Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting. 👍🏼
Whoa! That’s awesome! Are you on the AAC Facebook group to stay informed with latest updates about the crash?
You could make a good voice over for American Psycho if they ever do a sequel. The bruin look good at least.
I know that movie by title only, but I never watched it. So I don’t have a frame of reference.
I earned 600 bucks with ZERO Referals
Looks like your feet are simply just not meant for the Bruins. I have a pair 12.5 and my EE feet feel like Bearfoot made them specifically for me. My heels are locked in and the pressure on the top of my toes has subsided after breaking in. I have zero bunching, gathering or pressure from any excess material…again, this boot is not meant for narrow/regular width feet.
I'm glad for you that they worked out so well. 🙂
What brand is the boot with the waterproof liner that you removed?
Otz Shoes OTZ1-Troop
Man start that company it seems like you would make some excellent shoes! Very well executed review
I appreciate you. Thank you for saying so. 🙂
I second that
Thank you for your confidence in me finding success as a shoe designer. 😃 This does help encourage me toward that pursuit. I do wish to pursue that. Once I start that company, I will definitely announce it on my channel. 😎
im going to pass on a purchase of the Bruins, Nice review very professional
Glad I could help.🙂
What are you using to seal top of that with?
Have you seen the new Jim Greene barefoot African Rangers?
Watching
I have not. I will check them out. Thanks 🙂
@@sirdoitall7662i have a pair and theyve been good so far, although i by mistake (thinking US size was UK size) ordered larger than i shouldve but remedied it a bit by requesting a different size before they shipped
I buy entire carts and sell off a few extras.... mostly I just build
This was very helpful, thanks!
