Yoo, this channel deserves way more attention. You're putting in a lot of work, thanks a lot for the lessons!
cant acces to the website :(
Brilliant, thanks ❤
Great video! Exactly what I needed to know for audio into the digitakt 😁
A good alternative for a small budget is the Zoom M2 Mictrak. It has also Stereo and 32 Bit Float.
Great info, thanks a lot 😃
Are you mixer defaults at -6db?
Good vids. Please zoom in on the unit so we can see the screen better
It’s an issue with Ableton when it comes to only seeing 15 audio tracks available. I use FL studios and I have over 20 audio tracks.
Thanks for letting us know 😃
Great stuff J5, thanks for all the tutorials you do for us!
You're welcome, I hope they are of some use to you 😃👊
@j5_music They are!
Thx !!!! I am going to get a digitakt 2 soon😻can’t wait
You're Welcome 😃. That's great that you will be getting one soon, you won't regret it 😃
Well done!
Thanks a lot, Hope you got something out of the video 😃
one small suggestion is to zoom in closer to the device so we can see better
Ah I see what you mean, thanks for the feedback, I will definitely implement that in the next ones I do 😃
Thanks for making this series!
No worries, I really enjoyed making the series, hope you got something from the video's 😃👊
Quality
Thanks again mate, really appreciate the comments 😃👊
Great vid .i can now get more out of it
Thanks a lot, glad you've got something out of the videos 😃👊
By far the best (Music Quality * Teaching Depth) I've seen on the Syntakt, plain outstanding!
Ohh thanks a lot, I really appreciate the message. I'm glad you've got use out of the videos :)
Whilst using control all can you use retrigg mode and retrigg all the tracks at once? Like a master stutter / retrig
HI, so it would be great to do this globally, but I don't think it has been implemented yet, I've taken another look through the manual and can't see if you can do it globally. Maybe they will add it in a future update if they get enough feedback to implement it. Hope this helps :)
Just brilliant how you explained all this, i’m guessing you’ve done a full Syntakt tutorial? I’m a new owner so looking for good clear help, your style is bang on target. thank you.
Ahh thank you for the comment, I'm glad you found the video useful. Yes, this video is a part of a series. It was my first series, and it was put together in a way that goes through the Syntakt in-depth. It may help you if you're new to the device 😃
I haven't seen ANYONE mention the random LFO slew! Not even Elektron themselves in their announcement video. This is HUGE for me I've been wanting a smooth random forever
Oh yeh, I love the slew within the RND waveform, it makes it so much better for those smooth movements, give you another dimension in sound design too 😃
Hey bro. Good to see you with another ST tute. You really have a skill at the "follow along" style. Ill give this a watch on the weekend with a few quiet beers... 👍🍻🇦🇺
Hi mate, good to hear from you! hope you're all good 😃. Thanks for the comment I really appreciate the comments. Hope you enjoy the video! More is to come 😃👊
Very nice overview 👌🏻 did miss this kind of structured and easy to follow walkthrough from #Elektron. Also some helpful (re)sampling tips, thanks 🙏🏻 much appreciated!
Thanks a lot mate, I appreciate it, I hope you found the resampling tips useful! Got a few more of them up my sleeve if you want a video on them? 😃
@@j5_music well, most of the demonstrated workflows on other channels end up inside the DAW for expanding ideas or a final mixdown. I think it would be very welcome to be shown some tips and tricks on generating sounds externally, export and process them and resample them (in mono or stereo) for live performance and/or use them creatively on DT or other sampler. So yes, please show some more 😉
Useful video. It gives us a good idea of what Needlepoint is capable of. ☝
Thanks for the comment, glad it was of some use 👊
what it needs is a way to route the main out and the inputs as send/return in the FX chain (with still the headphones out as main out and USB out via overbridge)
Yeah I totally agree, It's similar to the other devices, there is a limitation for sure. I hope they can do something in the future with it.
This is hardware-limited. The manual explains it, stereo out and headphones out physically tap from the same signal. Not gonna happen.
At the beginning, you said SY CHIP is only available on track 11, but it's available on 9, 10, and 11. The same as dual VCO and Raw. You can have 3 copies of Chip running at the same time.
Ahh yeh, you're right, thanks for the comment and for making me and others aware of this 😃, it's appreciated 👊
Rytm MKII run through. Your vids are great!
Ahh thanks a lot for the comment, I really appreciate it 😃. I'd love to do a run-through of Rytm but I don't own it, unfortunately, If I do get my hands on one though, I will definitely get a video series together 😃👊
As usual....OUTSTANDING. Nobody explains these features better than you do for a beginner like me. You assume NOTHING about prior knowledge and take it from step 1. That is very much appreciated. I've seen half a dozen "tutorials" on the 1.3.0 update and NOBODY demonstrated the random choice option with the SYN+YES combo! You are a fantastic instructor. Thank you!
Ahh, thanks for the comment, it was really good of you to say that, so thanks a lot 😃. Hope you're getting on alright with the Syntakt 😃👊
Thanks!
You're welcome, hope it was of some use :)
Not pausing the background music when demoing the actual recorded audio....otherwise great video!
Yeh I see what you mean, I will take that into account on the next videos I do. Thanks a lot for the comment and glad you enjoyed the video 😃
My new favorite channel!! thank you!
Good to hear 😃, thanks for the support 👊
I don't know why this tutorial isn't showing up in TH-cam search results. It is the most didactic and the best I have found. Thanks!
Really? I'm not sure why either! Glad you found it useful in some way :)
Great job! Thx
Hi, thanks for the comment, hope the vids helped in some way :)
what we want: title of this video should be demo of korg os...
Haha yeh it should, I used it more than the DT2 😅
Good production & easy to follow. Thanks, keep up the good work
Thank you for the comment, glad the videos help in some way 😃.
Excellent series! I might have missed something in this video. Why would you increase the main channel USB out by 12db only to reduce it by 12db in the DAW?
Hi, thanks for the feedback :). I didn't realise at the time but when you select +12dB in the main menu it will only add +12dB of gain to the main output and not the individual tracks, because I recorded the song with the individual tracks and the FX routed to the main 1+2, there was a +12db gain on the main output and not the individual tracks, so I had to compensate and turn the main track I recorded (FX's) back down by -12dB. Hope this makes sense?.
Thanks for your content. I don't see the link to your sample pack in this video description as mentioned unless I'm missing something. There is mention of your website but no link to said website.
Hi mate, thanks for the comment I hope the series is of some use to you. I've added a link in the description which will take you directly to the sample pack :).
Very nice video, hope they add that poly track linking option one day :)
Hi, thanks for the comment & sorry for the late reply. Yeah I think it's missing a few things that would make it even better! we shall see what updates they bring out in the future! Overbridge first I hope ha
Cool videos. I dont have a digitakt.....yet!
Hi, Thanks for the comment, sorry I didn't see this sooner! did you decide to get it or not?
@@j5_music oh yeah got it for 3 weeks and then track 8 leds stopped working is now being repaired!
@@NewKilnStudios Oh no, that's a bummer. How long has it been in for repair? hope you get it back soon!
@@j5_music send it to the seller a week ago and now is a waiting game.
Very interesting thanks
No worries, hope the videos help in some way 😃👊
thanks bro!
You're welcome :), I hope you enjoy the kit 👊😃
Super helpful!
Glad it helped in someway 👊😀
Nice work bro. Cant decide to get one yet... 👍
Thanks mate 😃,Yeah It's definitely one of them do I need it or not, There is room for improvement with the device & you could get a lot more out of it, maybe this will be implemented in future updates with the feedback they get. I still love the OG DT though :)
Good stuff! Keep these coming!
A 7-minute intro is way too long.
Hi mate, Yeah I thought that myself, This is the only video with an introduction which is why it is a bit long, I have put time markers if there are parts that you don't find interesting. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it 😃👊
For someone who doesn't have any content contributions to TH-cam this is a ridiculous comment.
As someone with years of experience on DT (& always learning new things) this is genuinely one of the best, most easily understandable tutorials I've ever seen! Can't wait to see more from this series!
Hi mate, thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it. Hope you get something from the series :). Thanks a lot 😃👊
Whats going on here bro? Is it just the animation? No audio...🤔
Ahh this was just a bit of artwork and animation I did, I was going to put this to some of my music but decided not to in the end ha.
@@j5_music all good. Shitsandgiggles. 😆
@@SpikesStudio3 😂😂😂
Very helpful, thank you!
Glad it helped in some way :)
Very good lesson. Helps to understand how samples files can be easy to move around, export, delete and organize using the Elektron Transfer app.
Glad you've found these videos useful, I appreciate the feedback :).
Again, very helpful and I thank you. While I own the DT2, with your series here I'll be able to get by most confidently. I've subbed and saved your DT playlist to watch (I figure) countless times over. Your attention to detail and confident instruction will be essential to my progress as a beginner to digital music creation.
Ahh nice how are you finding the DT2?. Thanks for the comment too :)
@@j5_music I'm enjoying it! My first Elektron box was the Model : Samples and before I really gained much proficiency, I somehow convinced myself that the Digitakt 2 would be most worth the time investment. I'm new to working with sequencers and digital sounds but have a basic understanding of music theory. My current goal is to understand the midi capabilities of my few devices and how I can get them to work together. I own the DT2, Model : Samples, Modal Cobalt 8 VA synth, Meris Mercury7 Reverb and a guitar with a pickup. Thank you for your guidance in these videos. Your explanations fit well to my current level of understanding and I already feel quicker and more confident at the buttons.
@@crimsonfancy Glad you're enjoying it, you've got a nice set-up there :). Yeah the MIDI can be confusing especially if you are mixing new with oldish hardware, I find the user manuals as you've already done are the best bet but newer devices such as the DT2 allow many more options in terms of the sequencer etc. Really glad you've found the videos useful :)
Hugely helpful! I've read the manuals of both machines I wish to combine, watched so many videos and finally your content shows in my feed today. Thank you so much for breaking down in terminology that I can understand. I can't express how much I appreciate your time in putting this together. /cheers!
Hi, really happy the videos are helping you in some way, I really enjoyed making these vids :)
hi m8 thanks for the video...do you know how to load a single sound onto a pad in a drum rack? it keeps sending me in loops without option to load actual audio :/
HI mate, thanks for the message. I don't think you can do this as of yet in standalone mode, I tend to set my kits up on my computer and then save them to push 3, you may have to save your live set as a template so that the drum kit collects all the samples before moving the kits over to push. Hope that makes sense and hope its what you mean! :)
