How long did you wait before you all decided to get on the tender boat? And how is the process far as getting a ticket for the tender or did you just waited till the crowd died done and didn’t need a tender ticket?

Me my dad an my long time best friend are going on the Carnival Vista on November 2 this will be me an my dads 2nd cruise ever we went on the Carnival Mardi Gras in November of last year this is will be my best friends 1st ever cruise

Nice, I went on the NCL Breakaway back in the year 2013 when it was brand new......was this NCL cruise better than the NCL Breakaway??
Although I loved the Viva, I have to say I liked the Breakaway better. If you liked the Breakaway but want to go on a ship with go carts, I would recommend the Encore. The itinerary of this cruise was amazing though!
@@TKCTravels I'm going on the NCL Aqua on August 2025 on a New York bermuda cruise , it has the first hybrid Rollercoaster waterslide with no go carts , the cruise won't be built until the year 2025, it's a NCL prima class cruise, but it's bigger than the Viva, i will be in a Studio solo stateroom for the first time with my friend right across the hall, I enjoyed the NCL Breakaway when it was brandnew , you should try the all new NCL Aqua in August 2025, I will give you a tour of the Studio lounge and Studio Staterooms that only solo guest have access to,
@@tomparry4523 That sounds awesome! The Viva was our first brand new ship and it was amazing. Hopefully we will get to try another new Norwegian ship, like the Aqua, in the future! Enjoy your cruise!

This ship is not worth it. I’ve cruised dozens of times and the service has decreased, the food has decreased but the gratuities have increased. The show rooms are very small and if your lucky enough to get in one, you’ll stand in line for at least 1-2 hours. Toilets were broken often. If you want a decent dinner your going to have to pay at one of the specialty restaurants.

I don't remember noticing the smoke smell on the Breakaway outside of the casino, and I am pretty sensitive to the smell.

I did the brewery tour in the jungle on Roatan booked through NCL. I wish they offered brewery tours on more cruises. Is one of my favorite cruises
Food on this cruise was awful. Lived off salad bar for the last 3 days.
Haha that's crazy that they would sell it when there out! I guess no big deal! It was so beautiful but packed! When I saw your video I was like awe the daily morning walk into Garden cafe for breakfast! So sad, I'm still sad I'm planning our next cruise. It's free from a casino near our house unfortunately it's for Princess. Wishing it was from NCL. Never been on them I've been committed to NCL. Hopefully it's good! They limit how many drinks you can have in a day to 15. While that should be enough. Indont like that they put a limit it. Should be fine! I love your video BTW it reminds me of our tour of the island and is I was right there with you again! But I wasn't 😭😭. Haha well, I'm also book I g my next NCL Cruise on the Bliss for Alaska in May of 2025 so excited for that. Been wanting to go to Alaska for a while now!!i bought a GoPro for this trip to do what you did but I never took my camera out! I will for Alaska for sure!! We had some goodd Jamaica food at on of the booths just off the ship.
We were on a tour right outside the pier and I noticed a green house and a red house. Our driver owned the green house and his aunt who was in the military owned the red one. I saw it as you drove by and was like that’s our drivers house. We went to that over look too and got a cocktail. How fun it was. We were on the 2/25-3/3 Encore sailing. Good times.
I was there on the feb 25-march 3rd sailing on the Encore same itinerary. I went on the same excursion. Loved the beach swam for 1:30 hours. Only thing that sucked was that it was so short. The beach was crowded when we got there no more chairs or umbrellas. There was a celebrity ship, icon off the seas, Encore and carnival main behind us. So, busy day for the port and beaches. I did enjoy the beach and water. Could have stayed there for another couple hours.
We had the same experience at the beach. We purchased chairs and an umbrella inside the shop only to find out when we went outside to get one that they were actually all sold out. They did refund our money and we still had an amazing time swimming and soaking in the scenery! And yes, you really need more time there!

Sailing on the Breakaway for the third time in 2 weeks. Love this schedule of islands and the New Orleans port is an hour away from home. Love the Breakaway and the way it flows. I enjoyed your video, very informative.

Did you… can you make reservations for the comedy shows ropes, course or any other activities?
Reservations can be made once you are on board for the comedy shows when they are held in the comedy club, the same way you make them for the shows. I have seen comedy held a few times in the main theater, and reservations weren't required for that, although it isn't the norm. The ropes course and most other activities on the Breakaway don't take reservations.
Sailing on the Breakaway in July. Me and my wife have sailed Escape and Encore and love this class of ship. Thanks for the informative video.

Nice video. Thank you. I’m booked on the Breakaway in May. How far in advanced are you able to make reservations for Main Dining Rooms or Entertainment? We were able to make reservations for specialty dining already but everything else says not available to reserve. Thank you.
It typically opens up at the time of final payment, the same time as specialty dining reservations. The entertainment may show unavailable if you aren't able to book it as soon as it opens up. We have been able to book show reservations around check in time (21 days before sailing) up until just a few days before sailing. You just have to keep checking it, but don't worry if you aren't able to book it. They always hold some reservations for embarkation day, you just need to book them quickly once on board. I am sure it is the same with the Main Dining Room, just keep checking and if all else fails book once on board.
I just bought that that charge cord on amazon... Ill be on breakaway next week
We just took it on the NCL Viva last week with no issues. I would bring a back up just in case! I usually carry a cheap one from Wal-Mart and leave the tag on it so they can see that it is NOT surge protected as a spare.

It seems like Norwegian is starting to cut back to 1 production show on all of their ships. It's disappointing for sure! The shows are one of the reasons we love cruising NCL.

Going out of Miami on this ship in April for an Eastern Caribbean sail. Definitely glad I booked a Club Balcony. Didn't realize the inside rooms were that small.
We were surprised too. We made it work for 2 people, but any more than that would be tough.

We just returned home from the Glory and loved every minute. Our floors at home are still 'rocking with the ocean waves. :) One suggestion when critiquing is to offer your ideas on how you would solve the problems you point out to make the experience better. For example, getting to venues early was a good critique.

Could you talk a little bit about what parking was like? We leave on Jan. 28 cruise.
We parked at Fulton Parking Garage. We booked it online in advance and just showed our receipt when we arrived. After parking, we took an elevator downstairs to catch a shuttle to the port. Other than traffic being backed up at the port our arrival was very convenient. Getting off of the ship, however, was very chaotic because it was raining and everyone was crowded together on the same sidewalk waiting for shuttles. It would have been okay if the weather was better. We wished we would have parked at the port because of that. Norwegian uses a parking lot called the Whale Lot that you can walk to from the ship. It isn't covered and costs a little more.

Yes, we did have a mini fridge/cooler in our room.

I heard ots an old ship and ghetto and the rooms are not clean
The Glory is old by cruise ship standards, I believe it launched in 2003. However, we found the crew to always be wiping things down, and never thought that it was dirty. When we sail on Carnival, the atmosphere of FUN is what makes it for us. We do enjoy other cruise lines that have newer, fancier ships as well.
Were more things open later in the day??
Yes! Our day in Tortola was very short. We arrived at 6:00 am and departed at 1:00 pm. Because of this our excursion started very early in the morning, before most of the shops opened.
Yes I will be going on that same NCL cruise. Did you do a snorkeling excursion that early in the morning? Was the water cold for snorkeling that early?
We did not do a snorkeling tour that day, so I can't comment on the water temperature. We did an NCL excursion called "Tortola by Land and Sea". We have a complete playlist for our Encore cruise on our channel, and one video documents our excursion in Tortola.@@alisaphillips9233

Most of our filming has been on a DJI Action cam. We get some looks sometimes but we are starting to get used to it. It seems to be becoming a lot more common to see people filming in tourist areas, especially cruise ships! I say go for it!!
