Yes but no. It’s a mild hybrid. Mild hybrids have a 48-volt electrical system, a lithium-ion battery, and a small electric generator instead of a traditional starter motor and alternator. Unlike plug-in hybrids, mild hybrids don't need to be charged from an external source but they can’t drive on electric alone. The benefit is Mild hybrids are more fuel efficient and produce fewer CO2 emissions than traditional vehicles.

No spare wheel. They are too big these days. You could buy one and reduce your boot capacity. You could use the tyre foam and inflator in case of a puncture. Or some people use “run flat” tyres.

Yes foam won’t help if you’ve shredded the tyre. The run flats offer better protection with their reinforced side wall.

Yes showing 30.8mpg on site. In the real world most people will achieve mid to late 40s mpg. The WLTP figures are 48.7-49.2.

Yes. BMWs use a staggered set up so the rear tyres are wider than the front tyres on most cars. This is due to being rear wheel drive or rear biased in the xDrive models. On platforms shared with Mini they use a square set up as the cars are front wheel drive.

You must drive different to me. The M140i was usually 18/20 mpg as the 118i was usually around 34 mpg.

Wow 38 mpg from an M140i is very good. Think the best I got was mid 20s. The official Fuel consumption (WLTP) was 32.1 - 32.5 mpg.
