You don't want to use a test light you want to use a milliampmeter to test your wires to make sure they are not exceeding the amp load for that circuit if one is higher than spec that will affect your TIPM Module. I have replaced my TIPM due to the truck I bought had Halo headlights and a transfor on one of them went out and killed my TIPM. So don't hook to any wiring until you know your specified amp draw for that circuit.

Buy headers and use header lockbolts……the problem isn’t the bolts themselves it’s the cast iron manifold they warp. Headers do not warp…..

6k miles is nothing. Come tells us how its holding up after 50k. Guess what? It leaks. Also. Welding a nut to the broken studs is way faster than drilling.

Welding a nut onto the stud is so much easier. If it is down in the hole like that just stack some weld up until it's flush with head then weld the nut on.

Local machine shop would've probably only charged you $20 each to plane the manifolds down. You can also drill the bolt holes in the manifolds out just a touch, and it'll alleviate some of the binding with the hot/cold flex. Use steel multi-layer gaskets, and they'll take any slight manifold expansion/contraction.

Most trailer light and brake issues are improper wiring or the male or female plug and/ or bad ground. JMHO

I did the exact same fix as your video. It worked great - I did have to use some tape to keep the zip ties in their groove while assembling back together.

Had a friend bring one over today belonging to his daughter that was broken. I modeled a new link and printed it using PETG. Had it working in a couple hours. I will probably post the new link STL file to thingivers.

If someone works on the truck, they can pinch the tube and crack it when they put the A pillar cover on, which will make the tube leak when it can't flow water because the end is clogged because the X'ed tube end is not flowing and clogs up. You can use a very little compressed air GENTLY to see the cracked tube. The water then drips down the A pillar and onto the carpet. The back tubes will also clog. Cut the ends off so they will not clog. The Mopar replacements don't have the X pinch on the rubber grommet ends that causes the clog. The factory pinched the ends because they were afraid whistling may occur. FYI.

Took my 06 in for the airbag recall and when they gave it back my signal worked. Maybe resetting the tipm is part of the airbag install?? or the tech hooked me up while he had my truck hooked up...

You can indeed do repairs to the TIPM, the main plug- ins on the back of the main board have a tendency to corrode periodically, I cleaned and repaired 2 terminals which had caused 2 weeks of grief running down an electrical issue.

The information about mp4 vs hvchd it's an equivoque. Actually it's the opposite. Look at the body of camera and will see hcvhm, not mp4.

I’m having issues with a 2012 2500 hemi. Got a constant right turn signal light at the 7 pin. When a trailer is hooked up the right trailer light stays on even when the truck is off. The left turn signal and the running light on trailer will not come on. I know this is a issue with the truck and not the wiring on the trailer because I have hooked up another truck to same trailer and it works flawlessly.

Could you make a video about how you put it back together. I try, but the springs pop as everything comes out of place when I try. I noticed mildew and I wanted to clean the inside..but now I can’t reassemble it!

I also have a 2006 2500 Mega Cab Laramie 5.9L Cummins and I purchased it a year ago. The previous owner didn't tell me there was a leak and I never tested the sunroof when I first purchased it. Turns out the drains were clogged and someone at some point has stuffed a drinking straw in at the base where the water is supposed to come out. Further, they thought the best solution to ensuring no leak was to Silicone the sunroof closed and upon the first time I used the sunroof, the motor had to try and break free of the Silicone and it made a terrible noise as the sunroof on the passenger side skipped a few teeth on the gear. Now the sunroof won't close flush. And water leaks in every time there rain or snow. All the drains are clogged and I'm in the process of trying to sort all this mess out. Thank you for your video. It's been very very helpful.

I'm happy my headliner doesn't get wet the water comes through the hand grips on the side rails.

Just took my 06 Cummins to the dealer for the TIPM flash (TSB 08-021-06). I had continuity front to back, so it wasn’t a wiring problem. Probably a rented trailer with a wiring issue caused it, but now I am good to go. I will definitely check trailer wiring before hooking up in the future!
