@@bin9089 I like the open source cutemouse driver. It contains routines for serial COM-ports and PS2 mouse. In the first time i used a mouse for the COM-port and then a mouse for PS2 and later an USB mouse. In the bios setup of the mainboard i found USB legacy and i swithched it to enable. This methode put the mouse bytes from USB into the keyboard controller like a PS2 mouse, so cutemouse can work with a USB mouse too. For my own DOS executable i dissable the cutemouse driver and use the PS2-part of the driver routine with little changes to put the mouse bytes into my data segment, but without to build a resident driver. My executable can use the mouse bytes directly from the memory without to call the mouse driver with a software interrupt. But the mouse pointer have to drawn from my executable. I use a picture from my webcam a green watering can made of plastic as a mouse pointer in in 800x600 graphic mode with 32 bit color RGBX.

Well, unless you want you desire faster R/W speeds. That comes in handy for high demand applications... such as games. That's why I use it.👍

You mean changing the UI in emulation station suitable for kids?
