Many of the residents and taxpayers of Plainfield, CT would like to know where their tax dollars are being spent, and how elected officials, boards and committee members are handling the affairs of the town. Not everyone can make it to the meetings or always find information in the news. This channel intends to fill some of that void by offering videos of various meetings as well as positive things happening in Plainfield.

OMG I want this for my state. MASSACHUSETTS . I have stood by Trump and will continue to do so. Great Job CONNETICUT.
There is another convoy "flag" parade on Nov 3 starting at Plainfield High School, 1-3 pm.
Make America worse again🤣🤣🤣😜😜🤪🤪🤪😜
Were families not allowed into the building to remove their items? It seemed really full of stuff!
From my understanding, they had time to retrieve things. The electricity was turned off for 10 years.
@@plainfieldconnecticutwatch1368I would hate to have to pay that reconnection fee!
Great job catching the moment 👏🏻 thank you
Well done! Great video! Kudos to the destructors!

too bad about this one everyone forgot about in Plainfield. th-cam.com/video/yQJFnGkku4Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TwWUtMlDuIhGkMeW
You should be embarrassed for not allowing that young man speak. Remember, in less than a year he will be VOTING! He had reasonable things to say, it's not as if he was up there trying to tell you how to do your job like the man was...
We saw the entire meeting so I can safely say that the chairman was just trying to follow the Finance Board's bylaws which emphasizes only voters or property owners in the town are usually allowed to speak at these budget hearings. HOWEVER, if you watch closely, the chairman also agreed to let the young man be heard when two people offered to read for him which, by the way, is against the bylaws. Everyone can learn through this.
Ms. Desjardin is quite correct to rein in the first Uline presenter. His emphasis on his company's total commitment to its customers has no relevance to Plainfield. And the civil engineer's presentation, as was to be expected, focused on the plant facilities. We have here another familiar instance of "industrial zoning creep". The initial zoning permit was the "camel's nose under the tent" What I want to know is, where are the traffic studies of the impact of the use and passage of Uline trucks, large and small, on Rte 12 and on the Plainfield Historical District? The impact from the employees using Rte 12 to go to work? Furthermore. the intersection of Rte 14 and 12 is already very narrow. I have actually seen an 18-wheeler taking a big chunk out of a banking as it navigated the tight turning radius there. Good jobs at good wages? How about some figures on what Uline is paying their employees at present elsewhere. Will local construction labor be used in the construction? Or will people from offshore be imported to do those jobs as at the Lowe's warehouse? What tax incentives are being offered, if any, by Plainfield? The rebates gifted to Lowe's were shameful. To say nothing of the promises made then but not kept. Warehouses are not economic development. They are generally an indication of desperation on the part of a town. That's why in former times they were located in the shabby areas of cities. Killingly gets that - that's why they successfully torpedoed a Walmart warehouse there after an epic struggle. Kudos to the Zoning Board for adjourning this topic until next month.
I went to high school their. My high school was a big picture high school called community connections. I went in 2010 freshman year
I remember as a kid playing on that tank.
🌻 Transcendent, ladies. 🌻
PRICELESS public service, PCWM. 🌹 Thank you.
The perfect soundtrack... the gorgeous editing... those SKIRTS... and then the guided group warmup that turned into dancing! 💃🏼🕺 And then the elder athletes and those beautiful fields; Best. Heartwarming. Short Feature. eVer. 🎬
Glad you enjoyed this. They were a fun group and will be raising money for organizations throughout the state.
🏆TOP-SHELF🏆 research, collation, presentation, filming, and editing of a huge amount of data and information. Thank you for such elegant gifts of crucial public service. 💐
Really great job the past few years in the area. Thank you for the very hard work, planning and resource allocation. I don't think people truly understand the depth of planning and over sight that goes into these projects. Appreciate all the hard work, the effort shows.
To expand on my comment below: There is effectively NO traffic speed enforcement on Rte 12 in Central Village. The excellent Police department is too understaffed and overextended to do it. Thus, Rte 12 has become '"Route 12 Raceway", with both private drivers and commercial and industrial drivers seriously exceeding the low speed limits. At least 4-5 of the homes across from the Bubbles laundromat have in the past been hit and damaged by vehicles. We don't need Rawson drivers adding to this danger.

So the applicant thinks - In Part 1 at 59:05 and following - that Rte 12 can easily accommodate the trucking traffic?? The segment of Rte 12 that goes north from Rte 14, called Putnam Rd, - is primarily a narrow residential street. It is lined by homes on both sides of the road, especially in the heart of Central Village. That area was designated, in the late 80's, as the Central Village Historic District. The buildings were listed on the National Historic Register. But this Village has been utterly trashed since then by politicians and industrial business interests which have no regard for the safety of the Central Village residents or their quality of life. Anyone who cares for Plainfield and its townships should abhor and reject this zoning and this blight. Kudos to Plainfield CT Watchdog Media for making these issues known and accessible.

I went to this school in 1957 for first and second grade then the school on rt 12 across from Agway, when are they going to start demo St john school?
Not sure when yet!
let me know i would like to video it and take pictures @@plainfieldconnecticutwatch1368
Is this the old school building next to the high school? It was out of commision by the time i was in highschool there but let me tell you does this bring back memories cant wait to move back home
It was a wonderful gathering with different generations represented. Our kids all attended PHS but only 3 were there when the Annex was in use. I remembered it fondly... especially when the home shows were held there.

Is there a full video? I’d like to see what the K&H guy had to say on the demolition
Unfortunately, anything edited out was due to excessive traffic noise.

Joe just explained that at some point he will place a pile of bricks outside of the fence, so anyone can come and take a momento
Still need some of the budget to put new microfilters and caustic soda in the force main line for treatment, but these office pencil pushers dont even know treatment
I assume, that with all the new added revenue generated by the property tax fraud committed at the height of a false housing bubble should land us a museum or a sports team.
Thanks for the video June.
Thanks June.
Thank you June. I really appreciate you doing this for the citizens of Plainfield.
Hi Mike! Glad you're watching. There's a lot of valuable information at these meetings!
We are so lucky to have Doug and Anne representing Plainfield. I moved here 30 years ago from Montville and Plainfield is just a wonderful town to live in.
I grew up in Montville. Art and I have been in Plainfield 32 years and I keep saying it's a lot like Montville before the casinos. And, yes, we are fortunate to have Anne and Doug!
Good luck (from Texas)!
This was from last year 2021 and the Republicans won all 21 seats in municipal government.
This year, we are rooting for the state and district leaderships. th-cam.com/video/g0nVRJWkUn0/w-d-xo.html Good luck in Texas too!
Very classic santa on a fire engine keep up the work best wishes to everyone enjoy the holidays and stay warm and dry out there way to go ! Joe
Thank you! Plainfield is filled with a lot of classics, love the way we celebrate and cherish some of the traditions.

Definitely a treasure 💎✨ A beautiful song, beautiful voice, even more beautiful soul 🥰 I remember her singing this song. She definitely did nail it every time ❤️ Thank you for sharing!
Application for permit after the fact? No violation? Wow…Plainfield is a great town!!! Third generation farmer here, I hope they’re gonna replace the land with something a little better than top soil. Takes many decades to create soil to grow pretty much anything. Sounds to me like a money grab… over three years!
Very nice...Merry Christmas!!
Thank you! You too!
Awesome time with great people!! I really enjoyed myself what a tour. Tom was very insightful. Art n June what can I say but wonderful friends. Can't wait to do it again on the roof.
Loved my beautiful friend, Jason ❣️
Great cause! Ride was super slow, painfully slow, huge gaps. Massive accordion effect. Stop go stop go mostly at 20 mph.
