That is one way to not have a car
😮😮😨😢 beetle
They no longer really look like cars and have become ghosts of cars. I can't wait for the waters to cover these underwter relics again. Nice Footage
Thanks for the comment. I am hoping to dive over them one day and see what they look like underwater I will probably try to make a video.
Запуск и тест драйв будет?🤔
I like that we can speak across different languages. Of course there will be a test drive.
Cool Terrible but cool
👍
Just need a battery. 😂
Maybe some cables too
That can be buffed out🤣
Some turtle wax and a little elbow grease it’ll look brand new
That Bug just wants to be Loved.
I’m sure if somebody pulled it out of there and started washing it it would be as good as new lol
Ran when parked.
So which one will run and drive home?
I haven’t started them in a couple of months, but they were running when I parked them
I wonder if Junkyard Digs or Vice Grip Garage would be interested in any of these.
That would be really cool
Somebody should tow those away while their still above water..
👍
jennings motor sport: ‘this video ill get these three started and take em out on a test drive’
That would be cool to see
Junkyard Digs: "Let's have a beer about it." Vice Grip Garage: "Well I'll be dipped."
Very interesting video. If I were to venture a guess, around the 1:04 mark in the video and seeing the passenger rear quarter panel, I would say that is somewhere between a '52 to '54 Ford. Could be wrong, but again, it's just a guess. Loved your video. Just subscribed.
Thank you for your subscription your comment and the knowledge you bring to the channel
Cool I've always wanted to explore a place like that. My guess it that they were stripped and dumped rather than stolen or insurance-scammed. I suppose that steep drop-off made it an ideal spot because the cars would just roll down into the deep outta sight
Yeah who knows it would be cool if so old timer came out and told us how they got there
I'm not an expert, but I don't think they pass the technical inspection.
20$ would probably help
I've recently rewatched the 80's flick Ghost Story
👍
I hope those cars had a good life before they met their death in the depths.

Love it . I have the wooden one
I’ve always wanted a wooden one
@@texasnow3511I picked up my wooden one at cabelas used library for 200
Boy you can tell those been there for a very long time! Just think about this! People swam around in them waters inhaling whatever was in that water! Yikes 😬
Yeah, the other side of the lake there is a big pile of tires. You never know what you’re swimming with.
RUST IN PEACE!
😓
I think the tin-worms have had a feast there.
Lol
Take them to Barrett Jackson should bring about 100 thousand dollars a piece
👍
So maybe the town of Canyon Lake can clean all that shiz up
I think if anybody the army core of engineers would be responsible for it
the seconed one looks like a beetle
👍
NOT A mac.
What is it?
They're just in storage. I'm going to rebuild them. I'll take $20,000 each if you really want one bad.. No low ballers. I know what I've got.
Lol. So true lately that's what you find on Facebook marketplace
@@texasnow3511 People think their rusted junk is worth half as much as it will be worth restored. It's just raw material, not a complete unit.
Bug is likely a 65/66 - chassis probably restorable! Gearbox alloy casing has dissolved.
@@chris67bug I like all the knowledge people bring to the table on this platform. Thank you for your comment.
The VW does have the 1965 and later big windows. The front wheel looks like it has vent slots like 66-67 but the rear wheel looks solid like a ‘65.
It's amazing how nature takes them back
That’s true a couple thousand years after the last human it will be hard to know we were even here
I bet Vicegrip Garage could get some of those back on the road.
With a lonewolf 6000 too
But the brakes won't work.
@@cb750k1974 I have to say I haven’t seen vice grip garage. I’ll look into it. Thank you for your comment.
Lol 😂
I’d put my money on Jennings Motorsports to get those running, more than VGG ;)
Canyon Lake was finished in 1964. It is likely that those cars were the last 3 pieces of junk that we're, we're not worth hauling off out of somebody's barnyard, barnyard or backyard. Before the lake was flooded it's common practice to leave stuff like that when they flood the lakes either because it's not worth screpping or to make habitat
That makes sense
LS swap!
And some new tires your good to go
YOU CAN'T PARK THERE!!!
Lol
Where is this ??
It’s in Canyon Lake. If you’re looking at the dam from the lake, it’s on the left side.
Useful 👍🏼
Thank you good to hear that’s why I put these videos out
I'm sure some Department of Environmental Conservation would love to give out fines for dumping cars in the water. Strangely not interested in cleaning up the environment when the opportunity finally arrives
I would have to agree that is strange seems like it would be easy to pick those three cars up and move them I didn't take a video of it but on the other side of the lake there's a whole mountain of old tires
By now, they're part of the environment, maybe left there when they built the lake, to make environment for fish
THE CARS MAY HAVE BEEN AN INSURANCE COMPANY SCAM!! THEY DUMPED THEM , THEN REPORTED AS STOLEN!!
1. 40 Series Toyota Landcruiser 2. 60s VW Beetle 3. 1953 Ford Mainline
That’s amazing. You can tell what they are from. What’s left over.
@@texasnow3511 Update: The first one is actually a 1951-56 International Harvester
@@dylan39104I see it now!!....Oh my God!...I thought it was like 1930's Ford Model T truck or something like that!

Yeah, pretty much. I’m sure fish use them as a habitat.
Poor Herbie 😭😢
You’ve seen the movie all it needs is some love and it’ll be brand new in no time
@@texasnow3511 That's really funny, Thank you very much for responding to my comment.
please do a report on the level of the lake and the river it feeds
I’ll see what I can do might take some time
I don’t think it feeds any river. Any one correct me if I’m wrong
That last car is a 1952, 53 or 54 Ford. Judging from the fender trim I would say it’s probably a 53.. The shape of the firewall, etc. also goes along with this. That is a straight six engine.
That is good to know. Thank you for the comment.
By the body style & it being a 6cyl, I'm going to say it's a Ford Mainline. (Loss Leader 'El Cheapo' model)
@@DrOlds7298 Yeah definitely a Mainline. I have a 53 Customline.
The Truck looks like it's pretty old like 1950's....(Maybe 1930's by how small it looks)
Je ne sais pas ce qui est le plus navrant. l'eau qui baisse, les carcasses de voitures pourries ou l'abrutis qui poste une vidéo qui prendra encore de la place sur un serveur qui réchauffe la planète.
Hysterical cope and seethe. People who think like you do are the problem. ;)
Must be a shady area, to have all those cars in the lake.. Its not every day you just say to yourself, hey lets dump a car in a lake..
I know there are some shady characters around Canyon Lake, but those cars have probably been there for 40+ years
There ok .... It'll buff out .... alittle elbow grease and some bondo .... Good to go!!! 🤣
I think you’re right, lol
@texasnow3511 LMAO 🤣🤣🤣
We were there in August 2011, rented a boat and toured much of the lake. Beautiful area.
That is awesome. I really enjoyed that lake. It’s one my favorite places to go swimming.
@@texasnow3511 We did as well. It was 113F degrees, so we got in the water just to cool off.
We usually go fishing early in the morning until about noon when it gets too hot then we start to play in the water
the last car has a Straight Eight in it. not too many went that way because of the weight it put on the front end. balance of the crank was a bitch to get. and was more trouble that it was worth. V-Blocks give more room for bigger boar in a compact space, don't have all that iron on the front wheels. just a commit from the backseat on the little bus .
That is cool information to know. Thank you for your comment.
strange, i only count 12 rockers. incorrect info.
@@LygerTheCLaw And five spark plugs and one hole for a sixth.
@@LygerTheCLaw count the ports
@@vonboudreaux5025 i don't know how you can see the ports in the video. the rockers are clearly visible and easy to count. most straight engines have the intake and exhaust on the same side of the head as well as cooling passages, some have multiple exhaust ports per cylinder. an 8 cylinder simply can't have 12 rockers.
All put there by the same person, all have missing glass, bodies cut with a sawzall, engine or top end of engines missing.
I didn’t even think about that
Back in the mid 70's I took my certification dive for scuba license at Canyon Lake. There was a van at 60 foot depth near some clifs we had to dive down to. It was complete intact.
That is awesome. I like to hear stories like that. It’s a part of our history. Hopefully, if the lake keeps going lower, I’ll get to see that van, but I would rather it fill back up.
Yes, I would like to see all of our lakes full again !
