this is really helpful, thanks.
what if there is a Standard method out there that specifically requires twisting? I mean I never heard of one , but that cone equipment design is just engineered in a way that strictly requires twisting while removing the mold ? confusing
Hello
"Design"
Reminds me of the 1985 movie called The Stuff
150 MPa 😮😮 OMG
Thats like a 100 in slump 😂😂😂😂😂
Thats that like 1sk mix ? 😂😂😂
This is a spread test not a slump test
Leave it to a crete tester to have a tool like that. Ive seen j hooks, I beams, j channel. Usually they look like the single letter in their name, no?
All that washout right onto grass😢 nobody tell the osha
I have been testing panels of shotcrete at a law firm for a few months that is using shotcrete for underpinning below ground! Not something you see every day!
Hey Alen, just wanted to drop by and say I just passed ACI certification for concrete inspector! Appreciate the help😃
Congratulations! 🥳
Straight after chicken tikka masala curry with stinger
The plastic is very disappointing 😢
That's wetter than whale pussy
This guy did NOT follow ASTM protocol 😂
Nerd in suit talking about concrete, sit down little m to f switcher
Ok Matt. 20 years in the industry and won an award for concrete testing. What do you know?
This is a slump test.
Very cool. Highest I have delivered in a ready-mix truck is 85MPa. Do you know if this mix is delivered by mixer trucks? Thanks!
Yes it is delivered with ready-mix trucks.
Geesh can I get some cement with my rocks
😂
This represents about 85% of concrete guys.
What’s that?
@@alenkeri guys more or less just mixing whatever they want and pouring it without any clue what they are doing.
It’s upside down for fuck sakes
Both ways are acceptable.
Millimeters? Pfft communist heathens
That's some wet concrete
Don't guys create this?
How is slumb relative and how do different slump levels play a factor into a slab
The higher the slump, the easier the concrete is to place. It does have to be a chemical slump as using water instead will significant impact the strength and durability.
Add 15
Looks like they got shorted on the powder 😂
Upside down.
Yapper yappington shut up cunt fmd
How would you have a slump test if its not supposed to slump in the first place.
Never heard of it. Full of shit I'd say. Prolly that shit they use in China. The foam stuff that chips away with ur fingers
I mean you can just google ultra-high performance concrete..
What the hell did I just stumble upon
Concrete testing? 🤔
@@alenkeri yeah. I guess . I can't stop watching
@@ragoonsgg589 appreciate that! Welcome 😃
this is toooo wet for pouring steps and on hills 4 or 5 inch slump is good for driveways sidewalk, steps patios wetter is not always better 😊
You’re right. This is primarily used for architectural applications. Walls and columns.
What happened to sticking the tape measure vertically in the center of concrete to find slump? "Send it back, don't add more water!"😅
Different test.
Slump test had its place long ago. With the use of super plasticizers like MRWR & HRWR and also accelerators, retarders and corrosion inhibitors the industry is slowly changing over toward a straight w/c ratios
Fully agree. The slump test is definitely on its way out.
We also call it epoxy😂
Taffy! 👀
good thing that bag was there :D :D :D: D
Right?! 😆
Take that Roman Empire!!! (We'll still rip it out and replace in 30 years)
Once again someone who doesn't know anything about the product is going to tell me all about the product. This man looks like he knows very little to nothing about concrete or construction work
Almost 20 years in the industry…
Probably going to be a 150 story apartment complex somewhere in China. 😂
Hopefully not! 😬
The lack of gravel and just utter battery smoothness has me juicing, in ways I didn't think a non concrete worker could
I'm thinking about joining this career can you tell me if the income is as much as Mason worker or welder maybe Carpenter ?
I can’t speak to the salary aspect but concrete testing is really an entry level position. Anyone starting in the industry is wise to get certified and progress from there. Typically you start out with QC and move your way up.
@@alenkeri makes sense thank you
Watched a slump test on a job last week... I've never seen a 0 slump. It stayed in the cone😂
All depends on the application. What was it used for?
@alenkeri it was for a slip form road job. Usually it's supposed to be a 6-8 slump, but spec called for a 3". I'm just the mechanic who was on standby. I thought it was hilarious
That is segregated…
Highly!
Typically the cone should be inverted like the slump flow test
Straight from wolfenstein
😆
That looks like 2 inch line mix,, it's that consistency so that it can move through the reduced two inch lines on a pump truck,, small gravel, wet mix, otherwise regular mix will clog the line right away,, and this guy narrating has to be from another video,, if not ,, he's a idiot,, Lol
