Shenmue was 10000% revolutionary for its time. I remember walking around the town just picking things up and looking at them. Seeing fully modeled movable and searchable objects was insane at a time when most companies were still trying to figure out how to do 3D. Shenmue has so many of "Gamings Firsts" It may have failed on a commercial level but it pushed gaming 5 years ahead with what it managed to accomplish. I will always have the most special place in my heart for Shenmue 1 and 2. Yokosuka and Hong Kong are like my real home. I have never felt so safe and surreal then when playing Shenmue.

Easily 3! DK and Mario Party. DK and 64 are the two games that are really worth playing anyways lol

Interesting list from BAFTA. I think your top 5 is pretty much perfecf, the influence the characters have had outside of video games alone is massive. Billy Mitchell is still making donkey kong popular with all his shenanigans 😂 The other 15 are def tough. Id prob have removed Luigi and put in Gordon Freeman or Kirby
