Farming in Riviersonderend, South Africa - Heading in the direction of being self sustained
I farm with Swiss Alpine Goats (milk goats) I have one sheep (Susan) that has been reared since birth as her mother was killed, Susan is now 3 years old.
Approximately 600 broiler chickens in the chicken tractors on the land.
There are around 90 Buff Red chickens for eggs. Buff Reds are Rhode Island Red Chickens crossed with Buff Orpingtons
Indian Runner Ducks can be found in the pond, they are reared for eggs, excellent layers
Bantam Chickens are used to hatch out the Buff Red fertile eggs as they are very good brooders

DIY Rustic Bathroom - Easy Build and Cheap
This is a Bathroom which I designed for a Cape Dutch House in Riviersonderend, South Africa.
Reclaimed Wood/Timber is all that was used here, they were in fact old Barn Doors which I ripped up.
Some of the wood I planed and others I left rough, just as it came out from the weather.

Morning Liesel. Mine was moved with two people, one at the rear with a trolley and me landing up in front with a rope tied to both corners pulling and lifting the front. The chicken tractors I built after this one were far lighter which made a persons back less sore :) I went with a thinner treated timber and roof sheets that were as thin as paper. Aluminium sheets would be perfect at a cost though. Please feel free to ask more questions

Horned goats are never a good idea. Only my wether has horns and he can be aggressive.

Your goats are awesome!...Love the horns...I am sick and tired of all the goat owners in the USA thinking they have to dis-bud they're goats...It is so ugly, and unnatural. Stop messing with God's design.
It’s for the safety of the farmer and the goats. Horns are very dangerous. Also, goats are definitely gmo creatures.
