Nakano Broadway is THE forgotten place. A lot of anime and manga fans don't even know it exists. While Akihabara attracts everyone, this place is almost desolated, yet it has way rarer and more interesting goods. Join me in search for 2 figures from slightly older shows - Mad Scientist Hououin Kyouma from Steinsgate and the loveliest chuunibiyou - KuroNeko from Oreimo
How I force myself to study EVERYDAY

Do you struggle with consistency? Do you have to study now, but can't? Make up excuses! Excuses to do the thing you need, that is. Here's how I'm able to learn Japanese daily

Claw machines is not gambling of the surface. Yes there is some skill element to it, but a lot of them have varying speed, controls that vary between turns, etc.. which is exactly how gambling works. It's so fun though! (oh no!)

Pretty places, sad faces. Even in Tokyo

Sometimes life sucks. There's no motivation, no energy to do anything. It's especially annoying when you are supposed to be enjoying it to the fullest. Like... I'm in Tokyo. I'm in Japan. I should be cheering every minute of it. But even that sometimes stops. Why? Sometimes it's hard to explain, sometimes it's just one of those days. Still gotta eat, still gotta sleep, still gotta go outside an...
Micro flat in Tokyo = My home
มุมมอง 11K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here's a tour of my micro apartment in Tokyo, Shinjuku. Tiny houses are getting popular in the West, while small, cleverly designed housing is commonplace in Japan. There are a bunch of weird and interesting things that I had to get used to, especially since the entire flat is 4 times smaller than my previous living room.
Still lost in ****
มุมมอง 1.1K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
So here's one off my bucket list. But l'm still lost in life as ever. But hey, maybe it's a permanent state of searching, while doing cool stuff? Like visiting Japan. Like living in Tokyo. Like buying anime figures in Akihabara. I'm so damn lucky, but still so far from some goal. Oh well, let's enjoy the ride. 🥂Cheers. It's my birthday.
Check your privilege

Have you considered yourself privileged? Lately, I have a hunch that I might be doing quite alright. I mean, flying to London for a few hours and back must be it? I'm just going to see a doctor and it's the cheaper option... But still, kinda feels weird

Are you attached to..? I am... not sure. But this little grey Toyota was my teammate in a lot. Joy and heartbreak, adventures and boring hours stuck in traffic. 50000 through England, Scotland and Wales. It's 20 years old now. Waking up very early, shivering from the cold, seeing the sunrise... But it's just the beginning! I spent the whole day, from sunrise to sunset, to WAY PAST the sunset hiking, being hungry, not being hungry, hiking some more, getting tired, but getting up and hiking even more. Madeira truly has magnificent views, but to experience them you have to face yourself

I love how positive you are. I love Japan too.
Thank you for share Dude!
For a tiny apartment it’s very functional hope it brings you lots of joy
Nakano Broadway is sick. I was honestly super surprised when I randomly came across it.
that so cool micro
Was there and although I do find that Akiba has more variety, I love Nakano Broadway, the restaurants surrounding the area were good too
Yeah Akiba has more stuff, but only in Nakano I could find OLD OLD figures :P
Dude! Loved this! Im genuinely going to go there and check it out :) Awesome video quality too!
Thankies! 😁
Possibly my favourite road. Being able to drive or ride Snake Pass, Mortimer Road and then onto Woodhead Pass and up over Holme Moss on a nice clear day is quite an experience. If you find yourself further east on the A57 head for the Forge Dam Cafe near Rivelin.
I used to live in Stalybridge so it was my usual clear-my-head run over lunch. Brings back memories. Never been around Forge Dam, but looking at this video I want to grab a bike and explore that area too 😁
Great video
Awesome video and sick editing. How much is it monthly?
Thanks! It was Airbnb, so quite expensive, 1.4k, but great location in Shinjuku
日本人でも漢字を忘れます…日本人はなぜ英語が話せないのか?確かに学生の頃は、文法ばかりの授業が面白くなかった⤵️😭
I wholeheartedly agree with you :D however only learning Japanese I understood the term that language carries culture. There are so many things in Japanese language that cannot be directly translated to English. There are some things that should change in it, however, same with other older languages, but in general it's very interesting to piece things together the more I learn
good advice!
I mean... I kinda agree with you, you need SOME basis to heavily improve with this method. But doing "immersion" even when you know near to none still benefits you in the long run. I tried it with my brother, who wasn't that great with English. Every time he tried to watch something dubbed, I switched it off. Every time he pronounced something that came from English originally, I corrected him. I pushed him to watch shows in English without subs. Previously he lacked a lot of grammar, and kinda the sense of the language. After a year of this, he leveled up so much. Now he knows some words that he probably never could have encountered, and has that knack for the language where even if he doesn't know every single word in a sentence, he can still guess the meaning of it perfectly fine. He is lazy as shit as well, so this was probably the only way for him as well lol.
that sounds more like teaching than just plain old immersion. If someone corrected me everytime I brokenly ordered food at the restaurant that would definitely stick. Your brother is lucky to have someone guide him. Not sure how to cure laziness tho 😅
You're supposed to learn around 1000~3000 words and all essential grammar before full-on immersion. At that point, you start watching CHILDREN'S SHOWS, and only move on to more difficult content once mastered. You must follow the recipe at least once before you can make it your own.
totally agree with you. There are still a bunch of people who believe that you magically learn the language just by breathing that country's air :D
Haha i like your content. The short clips that were used as cutaway scenes were cool. I miss japan. I also did the same as you i.e. watching movies completely in Japanese 😅 understood every 5th word
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Try watching show for toddlers. Did that, understood maybe very 3rd word, was humbling experience to realize that I'm worse than 3 year old 😅
Language immersion grew your hair!
shhhhh, this was supposed to be a secret
KAMAKURAAAAAA
Nice, how much is the rent?
It was Airbnb, so it was VERY high for what it was in Tokyo, but it was cheaper than London :D I can tell you the number, but it's sorta worthless since it;s short term rental
I am caseoh kid
How much did you pay for rent ? Looks something like 55000 yen to me .
It was 5 times as much :D because it's in Shinjuku and it's a short-term rental
congrats for moving to japan, a dream for many of us you actually made it reality
sadly it's not a permanent move JUST YET :D
@@vandalpaulius even better,no commitment, just enjoying and seeing if its for you much love from switzerland
Small space need more attention on tidiness and cleanliness
oh yeah that's for sure. I put a single item in a wrong place the whole house looks messy :D
Nice video mate !
Thank you!
This seems awful lol. People should not live inside a swiss army knife.
well I would prefer a bit bigger place, but I would still love to live in extremely well planned flat
i love small cozy places
You apartment is the same size as my basement arcade room. I also live in a rural area. Can blast speakers outside if i wanted too. Noise isnt a issue. My neighbor even has a small shooting range on his property.
yeah the music issue would stop me living long term in this place
Very nice presentation !
Very cool! Loads of vertical space to use if you're clever about it too. Super cozy up top and a bed window is neat! Definitely would buy a fan though to try and push cool AC air from downstairs up there though! Thank you for sharing
yeah, if I would be staying for a bit longer fan definitely would be on the list of necessities
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 lots of vertical space to slip and fall and hang and creep up and down
+1 for Nazuna 🤍
real recognizes real 🤍
is this cuz your in school over there?
Just being digital nomad. I wish I was still in school though 😅😅
@@vandalpaulius Hopefully this video takes off. I've wanted to live exactly like that for going on probably 5 years now but my mom won't let me jump ship over there. It's probably gotta cost tons to get started.. but then even out a bit.
This is a terrible way to live. You should be indignant not acquiescent. You must not admire what you should despise. You should prolly go back home where you will have space and room.
Your comment is ridiculous, different people enjoy different things and I would like that apartment just fine for a certain lifestyle. Keep your judgmental thoughts to yourself.
@@jama211 Judgmental ??? Where is the argument? Is it OK to live in a pigeonhole? Ok I am judgmental but are you delusional??? Who would enjoy the functions of a torturesome cage? What awful psychology and state of mind are you in awe of? Liberate yourself my friend
Thank you for sharing your home. It does impress me how much function Japan puts in such a small place.
It actually looks very homey i can totally live here with a cat maybe haha
would need a cathouse/wardrobe type of thingy though 😁
Always cool seeing people's living situations in Japan! Thanks for the tour.
