I believe 17 was the first stereo TV station in Tuscaloosa, if not Alabama… I remember this commercial. I ended up getting a stereo TV and that was a big deal back then, having stereo TV. Ended up working for 17 in master control in the early ‘90s.

I believe the pressure of his career, of being responsible for so many people, some career disappointments and clinical depression had a lot to do with the pills and the overeating.

All 3 Stanley boys are POS ! They were bringing stuff to Elvis and that is basically why Elvis let go of Red, Sonny and Dave. Red would literally shake the boys down before going up to see Elvis. They all talk and call Elvis their brothers however, Elvis never called them his brothers. They talk of playing football with Elvis, no it was Red and Billy Sonny etc. they change the story to make others believe that it was them there. Ricky says he was there when Elvis was with Ann Margaret just do the math he was around 10-12 years old how the hell would he know anything when they lived with Vernon in a separate house while Elvis lived in Graceland. To sum it up both David and Ricky were on duty the day or morning Elvis died. Neither brothers checked on Elvis and both were zonked out on some powerful street narcotics. Vernon hated them and none of those boys were allowed to attend Elvis’s funeral. So much for calling Vernon their Daddy and Elvis their brother.

It bugged me when my mom would say, Whatever tricks your trigger. Never felt right hearing her say it to anyone.
