Great looking cows and calves.
That is so true, due to wrong ploughing practices I have absolutely dead soil there is no orginasims and nothing grows.
Thank you for sharing.🐴
There's a fundamental flaw in constantly managing for green production. Landscape function will decline. And with it the sustainability of the operation. We see this across the board with dairy operations for instance (constantly grazing at this 3 leaf stage), soil structure is lost: water cycles are impaired and carbon cycle is broken (since this relies in part on the production, and decomposition of lignified material).
Background music ALWAYS ruins an otherwise informative video. I couldn't get past 1:14.
Please post your videos- I’m always looking for better material. I’d like to see how an expert does it. Thanks
Green leave's are the best, so cut green grass, is better at 6 in. Nice to know.
We need to transition completely and rapidly away from animal agriculture and fishing to have a liveable future on this planer, so anything aiming at increasing production is sending us in the wrong direction!
go on a hunger strike
Are you crazey? Proper grazing without the application of fertilizer is as green and sustainable as you can get! Your science is messed up.
Thats a very dumb statement. No cattle no meat .If you believe for 1 sec cows are the problem in this climate change hoax then you need some serious counselling 😂😂😂
Why fertilize if the grass grows faster than what you can graze it ?!
Awesome stuff!
55% increase in bodyweight gain! Wow!
If you value the forage for bees what is profitable changes quite a bit. Since pussy willow is among the earliest and a prolific pollen source it can be more valuable than fine lumber trees. Many swampy trees also rank high. Bass/linden, poplar, sumac etc
Thank you!
Now I understand why my Lucerne did not last more than 6 years Thank You Des Moloney -Australia
Interesting video however I’m a bit confused as cattle don’t graze like that re only taking a few inches off the top. They find a plant they like, wrap their tongue around the and rip it off an inch above the ground. Also you didn’t talk about what’s happening below ground with the impact on grass roots so can’t tell if this more frequently grazing is going to be detrimental to the grass long term
Great video. Came across quite by accident. Very happy I did.
Wow, I like this guy. Kinda hard to understand for this gringo, but he sure knows what he's talking about. From I've seen of Greg Judy. Good stuff.
Thanks for all you do. You on the ground hard working scientists are making a future possible for future generations. I can't say enough for the thought and work soil farmers do to improve our environment and all around quality of life.
Where is FFGA located?
Amazing, thanks for sharing! One question though: I assume the 10 inch measure is for Palisade grass only. Is it very different for other species? Is that info available? Thanks!
I think the principle is, don't let your pasture go to stems.
Is this available in English ?
It is in English.
They have a horse herb grass I think that would be better for cows too
excellent video!!
this is my favourite video
this is a great video
great video!
Interesting!
