Speedtech Performance Shop Tour
Made a trip to Speedtech Performance to go hang out with Cameron and check out the shop. After meeting Cameron at LS Fest West I had to go see what it was all about. Drop a comment on whether I should pick up that wicked A Body IRS cantilever chassis and start another 70 Chevelle project.
If you liked the walk though of the shop and want to see more videos at different vendors and builders shops let me know.

@@kennyhayes8488 that’s an impressive ownership history.
Nice video and the Nardi wheel looks so good on this Chevelle.
Appreciate that, I liked the Nardi wheel for that cars style. I should have a big update on the progress of my 66 Chevelle later this month.
Can you give the tire size again?
No problem; 315/30/19 245/35/18
@@octane_addict_autosso I’ve been hunting for this car for about 35 years. If you don’t mind I’d like just send you a few random questions because you have no skin in the game. I feel like you’ll be honest with me. The game of finding a nice starting point is a true hunt. Lots of dishonest people unfortunately. Is that ok?…those size tires…would they fit under a factory frame?…you have a really nice car bud. Thanks for sharing it is in TV land.
@@hfd35 I could be mistaken but I believe on a 70 A Body if its minitubed a 315/35 will fit without touching the frame rails. A 335/35 will require frame rail mods. Measure twice! I hope that helps but also please verify. Thank you for the support, these are beautiful cars and an awesome community to be a part of. Stay tuned for updates on the 66 Chevelle build; Im just a few months away from "finishing" the project.
@@hfd35 I just came across a 70 Chevelle with 305 rear tires that was not minitubed I bet that’s as big as you can go without modifying it.
Thx
You definitely need that IRS chassis
I was just talking to Cameron and he mentioned it’s still available. That would save months and really elevate a build.
@@octane_addict_autos that would be awesome
The answer is, “Yes”, and when Roger asks which options you want, the answer is also just, “Yes.” 😂
Speedtech is something special. The only reason Cameron was pressing me on that chassis is because he knows how bad I want a set up like that.
Body coming soon!
Thats an incredible IRS set up!
@@octane_addict_autos thank you - it’s been a long time coming 💪🏻 will be fun to get it all put together
@@fire_for_effect Im jealous this is going to be such a killer ride!! Post the updates I want to check it out!
@@octane_addict_autosI don’t have social but I’m sure Cameron will keep folks up to speed. When it’s done you’ll have to come check it out!
@@fire_for_effectlet me know if you’d like to do a follow up video of the build in progress, or a completed car. I’ve got some projects in the works and this might be fun. Ask Cameron at speedtech about me he can verify me.
Great shop tour! Keep the videos coming buddy
I caught your Speedtech video with the comparison between the full Extreme IRS chassis, and the more bolt on components for the stock frame. I really liked that video man. Thank you @nickV70 you've been at this a long time and its very cool to have your support.
Dude, you need to build something with one of their chassis. The enginnering is amazing.
That IRS chassis with duel Sweet ram set up pushing 315s up front!! That would be such a monster. Id love to get a project with a set up from @speedtechPerformance
This thing is going to be wild!
Check out the video drop on 8/17 to see more of the speedtech facility. They have an awesome crew and I’m impressed with some of their current projects.
I was born in 1956 and grew up with the best cars and music. My first car when I turned 16 was a 1970 mustang Mach I. It had a 351C engine with a Hurst 4 speed transmission. They really make beautiful cars back in my days. I feel bad for the kids now with their rice burners. There is not now or ever will be anything that sounds better than a hopped up v8 muscle car
What a cool time to grow up! 70 Mach I Mustang for a first car, good music on the radio.. I may be a little younger but the heritage of a v8 in a gorgeous car is what I want to preserve and pass down to my kids and anyone who loves a ride that has some soul. Thanks for checking out the video and stay tuned for the finished project. I promise this is going to be a really cool ride when it’s all wrapped up.
@@octane_addict_autos I am sure it will be. I wish you all the luck on your build
Awesome fab work

Chevrolet has been in there prime while making muscle cars. Dodge, Ford all American muscle cars it's your favorite towards the brand.
