How to Export Your Tinkercad Design
มุมมอง 17K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I demonstrate how to export files in Tinkercad. This can be used to bring a finished design over to a 3D printer.

GOD bless you ✝
Thanks for this video. It was easy to follow.
You're welcome!
What if when I click .STL it doesnt pop up in the bottom left? I keep exporting but it keeps telling me to upload it in another app
It sounds like you might be on the import page instead of the export page. Can you double check? If you're still experiencing issues, feel free to email me a screenshot (email address is on the about page of my channel)
I really don’t understand what’s wrong with mine when I export it it doesn’t export like yours it export with logo that shaped like this 💧but it’s upside down and when I click on it it says file system error (idk if I translated it right English isn’t my first language) anyway this project needs to be done by Wednesday I don’t know if anyone can help or at least if you saw this comment and someone is having the same problem you can help him so reply to my comment anyway
is there a way to scale proportionally with the user input fields?
Thank you very much for getting straight to the point and not wasting time! You're one of the good ones!
Thank you!!
Excellent
Thanks!
Bro could you make a tutorial on how to then import the file onto pcbway in the 3D molding section
I've never done that before but I can try to figure it out
@@shakenmake Thank you
Bro this helped, more people should watch you
Thank you! I'm glad it helped you out
Strange, when I export this bar regularly appears at the bottom left. I wait 10 minutes but nothing happens. How is that possible? (titodesign.no/tinkercad_export.jpg)
You would think you could just click on two points on an object and it would tell you the measurement length. Is that really expecting too much? It should be so easy!
I definitely agree!
My project for tomorrow is to spit a design. Thank you.❤
Short and sweet - good work. I just sat through another vid that took 5 mins to tell me what you did in 1.21 mins.
Glad it was helpful!
How dumb must some1 be to need a video for using an export func lol
@@AncapDudenot as dumb as someone actually taking the time to type a comment like yours……
Thanks for making a toturial how to split the objects in tinkercad❤... it's useful for me bcs I've competition 3d printing😊..
You're welcome 😊
The very best file split I have seen so far, and it earned my subscription. Also thank you for your clear explanation, and your time.
Thank you for the kind feedback!
THANKS
You're welcome!
This does not work! Try it with different angles and you will see errors crop up in your model. Especially with non symmetrical models.
I was mislead I thought I was going to learn something geeky but learned some nerdy stuff instead😜😆😆
That’s a very clever way to do it.
Should of called this symmetrical split mirroring, what if the items not symmetrical? lol
This is an insanely complicated procedure. Not your fault, of course (thanks for explaining it!) but I think for anyone not yet invested in Tinkercad, the message is: don't use it. At least not for splitting objects.
I will also say I made this video 4 years ago, there could be a much better option available currently, I haven't been in tinkercad for a few years now
Thank you! It was so frustrating trying to figure out how to do something that seems really simple, but isn't when you are just trying to figure out the software. I appreciate this video.
Hi. I've tried following your steps but I cant seem to split a stl file I exported from Geogebra. After grouping, its still the whole object. :-(
So cool, thanks
No problem 👍🏻
I can't figure out to bring it to the base? Mines still floating. What's the deep key?
Use the "D" key on your keyboard when the object is selected. I remember it by thinking "D" for "Drop"
this is by far the best tutorial, thanks so much.
Thank you! I'm glad you found it helpful
Is it possible to move a part that is sitting on one workplane onto another workplane?
Thank you!!!!!
You're welcome!
Thank you very much! I am a beginner and this is very valuable information to me.
You're welcome!
after youve got the duplicate, you can just flip it by pressing "M"
I have been doing this by hand for years. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Can you split a hole in half?
Thank you😃
You're welcome!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Aww, I was really looking forward to the Madagascar 3D printed schools article. You only linked McPrinting and Termite poop. 😕Ah well, not like I can't go find it myself. Thanks for the heads up. I found your video while searching TH-cam for videos on 3D printing food technologies.
Thanks for watching! For anyone interested, I started a new channel just for entertainment: th-cam.com/video/sSgCmR0xrSs/w-d-xo.html
How do i measure up in the height. Can you make please a video How to measure in height
I enjoyed your curse I took 2months ago on udemy thanks
Thank you for supporting me by taking the course, I am glad it was helpful!
couldn't you just mirror the duplicate half
Yes that will also work in most scenarios but will not work when an object has text on the surface as part of the design. This method ensures no text gets flipped.
Great video! Thanks!
Thank you! I appreciate the support
Ah, so it's more "duplicate the object and delete half of each". Makes sense.
I happy using support but I need to spit to make Object wider and shorter but I have a problem abput a Area that need to stay the same sizes
Interesting thanks because I’m doing 1/64 scale vehicles and vehicles parts like interiors truck beds farm & construction replacement parts
Good luck on the project!
Thank you 👍
Thank you very much! I got a bit lost on the simplistic tutorial.
Yes that works, but what do you put the two halves together with? In my experience, there isn't a glue that will bond as well as making it in one piece.
Printing in one piece is always more ideal. When needed, I use a glue called BSI-157H. You can get it on Amazon, it comes with an instant cure spray
Helpful video, but I have a question. Are the terms different in FDM printing as opposed to resin? What you call overhang I know as "islands". Overhang are parts that hang out over the print bed or vat, but are still printable but might require supports so they don't droop or drop off.
That's a great question. I do not currently have experience in FDM printing, although it is something I'd like to get into. Did you figure this out?
I'm also only into resin, but from what I've read and seen on videos I believe I am correct. Overhangs are parts that are connected to the print but "hang" out over the print bed, but within an acceptable angle. Without support they could break off during printing causing a failed print. "Islands" are just that: a piece just sitting on thin air with no connection to the print itself. Think of a mini with an arm, holding a sword, stretched out horizontally. The arm from shoulder to hand might print fine. The pommel of the sword tho hangs below the level of the printable arm. It has no connection to the print. An "Island". They show up in the slicer as little bumps or pieces just hanging around. They will be printed and that's the danger of them. If they get loose from the FEP they'll float around in the resin possibly getting between the print bed and LCD and can puncture the FEP. With filament printing an island leads to stringing all over the print job starting at the point of origin of the island then to the print head's next destination repeating with each pass over the island.
Found your instructions the easiest and simplest to follow and achieve results .Many thks.
Thanks for the kind feedback!
