I have Autism Spectrum Disorder and I am on the high functioning level of Autism Spectrum Disorder and I am able to walk, talk, grab stuff. When I was born, the doctors saw that I wasn't crying and moving. Years later, I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and I went through a lot of psychical therapy and speech therapy in hopes that I would get better and years later, I started to walk on my own and started to grab stuff and I was able to sit down on a chair. Years later at school and home, during my speech session at school, I started to say my first words and at home, I said my first word amen. This has given my parents hope that I was improving and here I am, I'm verbal and I am able to do things in my life. I still do have emotional problems and I would get a meltdown if something is making me mad or sad. That is one thing that I need to work on because I don't want to be having meltdowns and I once had a epic meltdown and I totally went violent because my brother hit me first and I tackle him to the ground and I started to hit him but then my older sister went to push me off of him and after she went to tell my other older sister what happened and she took away my phone and I was mad at my brother for getting me in trouble and I started to have a lot of anger starting to build up in my mind and then I couldn't contain my anger any longer so I just exploded and went out to get a bat and I started to smash a old Windows XP machine that I had outside of my backyard and I just went crazy and I didn't stopped at all. My little brother saw that I was having a epic meltdown and wanted to go outside to calm me down but my brother-in-law told him not to go because there could have been a chance of me hitting him with the bat so my sister went to tell my dad to come out to calm me down but then after I had finished smashing the Windows XP machine, I have started to calm down and then I dropped the bat and then went back inside the house and sit down.

I NEED season 3 - you can't stop there!

Do you remember any scenes with warmness between Peter and sally. I don’t remember one hug. Nothing. Doesn’t seem to love her son at all.

In the end of the book the Grandpa makes a truce with the boy and they have a family discussion and decide that Grandpa will be staying in the dads office after the boy and the grandfather fix it up together. In the film there was no empathy for the boy whatsoever no reasoning no family meetings none of that.

Mice and bats sounds like child abuse to me. This film angered me to be completely honest. And not to mention the fact that when the mom was yelling at her father there is no mention of her son that just got almost got killed, the kids sisters rag on him and his parents just allow it, they don’t talk to him in advance about his Grandfather coming over they just spring it on him as they proceed to tear his room apart and not to mention the fact that most negative reviews on this film usually talk about how the kid is disrespectful and almost nobody remembers that this is a kid and being a kid he only learns shitty behaviors form the adults around which don’t seem to give a shit about him. Yet another aggressive take on men and boys.

Such a great season! Can´t wait for season 3 and loved the diverse cast!

"You look and act so neurotypical. How can I get my kid to act more like you?" That's actually kind of sad and disgusting. A parent is supposed to help guide a child into adulthood. They are supposed to encourage them to be themselves, not to mask their authentic selves from everyone.

I just starting watching EGBO and she's wonderful in it. At the risk of being negative, it bothered me when she said that parents tell her she seems so NT and how can they get their kids to be more like that. The goal shouldn't be to make them more NT - which is basically masking. It seems much healthier to just help them cope and be well in this society, which hopefully doesn't involve teaching kids to be someone they're not.
