Thank you for your comment! I think I accidentally ordered the wrong blades, as that's as far in as it'll go. I tried it with a DE safety razor blade and it looks like it'll take single edge blades. So I've ordered some and I won't be using it until the new blades arrive. As for the quality, I thought I'd buy a less expensive one, because if I don't get on with it, then I haven't wasted a load money. It made sense to me haha. Thank you! Your channel is excellent!

Do it, just do it. Don't let your dreams be dreams, just DO IT! Seriously, buzz it really short or let a barber do it for the first time. I strongly suggest you get a safety razor. Cartridges just clog up and are dull. Basic brush and soap from the drug store will do. I assume you are in the UK? Not sure what you guys have there, but I'm willing to help out.

@@stephanedorion2273 I'm from germany. I know a artisanal soap maker in Ontario, she makes excellent soap. If the barbers are closed, the best you can get is a nice shave cream or soap online. These are way better that the drugstore stuff you pay 1.99p for. And the smells, the scents they have are amazing. First barricade is that you have to spend a little money. But not much, and compared to cartridges it is peanuts after a few months.

Hey buddy! It's great to hear from you again! Adding more water definitely helped for when I shave my face and I've been using the razor at more of an angle and I'm now getting some great, close shaves! I'll have a look into it, thank you for the recommendation :) It does! It's weird to describe to how it feels, but it feels very satisfying haha. Ah awesome, I'll have a look! Haha thank you for not screaming at me ;) Thank you mate! I know they're not perfect, but I thought with things not going the way I'd planned in this video, I'd upload it anyway. I thought it might give people a bit of a laugh :)

In short, what was lost in the previous message. A pre shave oil or a simple sweet almond oil will give you a better shave on the head. Or used as after care it mosturize that head an smoothes your skin in the long term, which prevents razor burn , cuts, just makes the dome feel way better. And for the things on your head you cut, forgot the name, and I haven't got the vocabulary to name them. You could see a skin doctor and ask if it's possible to cut,freeze, laser them out. I have seen many baldies do that. Makes it easier to shave in the long run.

@@fritzkaraldo8452 I was thinking of getting a pre shave oil. I need to look into which one would be best. The website I get my cream and blades from makes and sells their own creams, soaps and pre shave oil so I'll look into their one :) I think one of them is a cyst, but I'm not sure what the other ones are. I'll make an appointment and see what the doctor says :)

@@edwardpickett2259 Thanks for the answer. Like most men I started using cartridges when I was 13 and hated it, got wrong shave advice from my father who cuttet himself every shave. I stoped wet shaving for over 10 years. I got backt to it due to a funeral. I had again a awful shave and I thought there must be a better way. That was in autum 2016. Since spring of 2017 I'm back with a DE razor and ever since I liked it and made a hobby out of it. That is why I though you deserve a few tips to get a better shave. Since I piced it up shaving did become more of a relaxing tast rather than a necessity. Glad you took my advice seriously and didn't though that I just want to mess with you or beeing a hater for no reason. Sounds crazy but there are plenty TH-cam wet shave legends you could check out if you like to. Geofatboy, Kensurfs, IACDB, all the nice guys that have one or another beginner friendly advice video. And they have all the good smelling soap and aftershave. It is always better to see someone lather up a shave soap, work the lather into the beard, and use the right angle. And as always really zero preassure what so ever. When you come from the cartridge we all tend to press the razor into our faces. If you have question feel free to ask. Keep up the videos.

@@fritzkaraldo8452 yeah, I hated shaving with cartridges when I first started! I started with regular Gillette shaving gel and I’ve always hated the way it smells and how my skin felt afterwards. I much prefer using my DE razor, even if my angles are off ;) haha. I would like for wet shaving to be a hobby, so I’m grateful for your advice! It’s advice I’m going to practice with before I film my next shave :) I’ll check out the people you recommended! I’m currently using Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood shaving cream and it smells divine!! I much, much, much prefer it to shaving gel or foam! And now I know to add more water to my lather, I’m excited for the next shave :) Oh definitely. I’ll be checking out the beginner videos :) I knew about just using the weight of the razor, but I’ll be practicing with getting the correct angle. Thank you!

I always find peace being out on long walks. As you say it’s great for your mental health and it really does clear your mind for a while. The bowl I use isn't fancy, I bought it from Tesco haha. but, yessss! Treat yourself ^_^ I think a lot of the rashes come from the razor itself. Since I started using my safety razor, I don't get anymore ingrown hairs or rashes. My throat will still get red, but I think that's because that area of my body is really sensitive. But safety razors are fine to use on leggies and other areas ^_^ but just be careful if you do get one!! They're easy to cut yourself with!

I also remember not only you getting bundled, but Thomas O'Reilly getting bundled on the bottom playing field and breaking his arm. Some of those kids at school were dangerous pieces of work.

Thank you. It was a massively toxic place. I’m sorry to hear it still effects you, that’s awful. I know we don’t speak much, but my phone is always on if you need anything. I remember Thomas having a broken arm, but I didn’t know it was broken in a similar way to what happened to me, that angers me so much! Yes, some of the kids there were nasty pieces of work who knew other dangerous, not so nice people. I’m hoping now that it’s a better place. I moved away from Uckfield several years ago now and I don’t really miss it!

@@edwardpickett2259 aww thanks. I'm a long way away now in Wales but when I'm next back down south we should meet up if you're still down south? I'm mostly doing better now but I found bullying has massivley effected how I form friendships and relationships and also how I deal with situations at work when I'm required to be assertive. I've had on off counselling over the years and definitely want to get some counselling again soon. I do wish in some ways I could meet these people now though who effected our lives and find out why and what they did it for!

@@lucysutton8680 I'm still down south and I'm definitely down for meeting up! It'll be good to see you again! I can't drive, but I'm more than happy to jump on a bus/train! I'm pleased you're mostly doing better now. Weirdly, I've found that I'm better now at making friends than I was several years ago. I mostly try to hide my anxiety/insecurities around meeting new people and forming friendships by trying to be funny. I used to be a bit self deprecating and taking the mick out of myself in front of new people, but I realised that wasn't being kind to myself, so I don't do that anymore. I think I'd personally struggle being assertive, simply because these experiences have made me not so keen on authority figures and I don't want to be one myself. I'm sure, given time, that'll change. I'll keep my fingers crossed you do have some counselling in the future! Counselling/therapy has had such a massive positive impact on me and I'll always sing its praises. That's interesting! I think I'd be on the fence if I had the opportunity to meet them and speak to them again. They made our lives hell, so I think I wouldn't be all that interested in giving them any more of my time. But that's not a positive outlook on it. It's a tough one for me to decide!

My stretched lobe was done with a gun! That's the only piercing I've had done with a gun, the others I went to a professional piercing studio and not a tanning salon haha. Ah! The Wonky Ear Squad! Haha. It looks like a battle wound haha. It does suck, but I'm now feeling hopeful that there will be a solution to fix it :)

@@edwardpickett2259 yeah I feel the same - I often get children asking me why my ears look like they do, its embarrassing 😂 just remember that just because you cant get them sorted at this particular time in your life doesnt mean you never will :) set it as a long term goal! I'm also interested to know who the gobby chav was - there was so many to choose from 😂

@@katiecogan-baldock5306 Oh no! I've not had children ask me why mine looks the way it does, thankfully! That is very true! I do tend to have a pessimistic outlook on things, which is something I'm trying to work on. Haha I'm not going to name them, but you've got wonder about someone who has their ears pierced, but says they haven't got holes in their ears!

It's very annoying when people don't understand what you're going through; that they think you're just depressed because it's raining, which has been said to me too many times. All we can do is try to educate people on how it makes us feel and if, at some point in their lives, they suffer with depression, we can give them advice and try not to make them feel any less human for the stupid things they've said to us.

When things start to get better with the current situation, we’ll definitely go for a walk here!

Social media use to do me a hecking bamboozle! But now my timeline is filled with pictures, videos and memes of dogs and cats, I find it very enjoyable scrolling through Facebook!
