I have undiagnosed adhd, undiagnosed social anxiety, (I show heavy symptoms of both) but I have a question. I have over 100 plushies that I love dearly but they’re squishmallows and I can’t put them on a leash. Can they work as essas? (I have around 5 perfect cats for the job.) and how do I make gear and food???

I had an essa but someone stole her in school :( Edit: when i was in the hallway getting my stuff for home time i heard my freind shout “NO DONT TOUCH THAT!“ And i rushed in and she was crying and my plushie was gone but now im in a new school so yeah i didnt get her back (the plushie and it was my fav plush to D:) :(

answering these bc why not 1) Stuffed animals don't need alot of maintenance and they can be brought in places where animals aren't allowed and still help their owners - they help by providing comfort and their texture can also calm down their owner 2) Some people may not have the money for a living, breathing animal, may not be in the living situation or have the resources, or they live with family who can't have pets 3) These stuffed animals have an actual use, it's not just "cringe", it actually helps people with disorders, or even just negative emotions (you don't need a disablity/disorder to have an ESSA) 4) Naw i never noticed 😱😱😱 (people with ESSAs are well aware their animal is fake)
