I’m so happy that you praised my pose practice! I hear you struggle with it, marroka-san…! But aiming for a high level of finish and clean artwork shows how much you care about your own work, and that’s truly wonderful! 💕 I’m so glad to know that you approach your art with that kind of mindset!! 🥰 Also, I’m really grateful that you could empathize with me on the expression part 🤭 It’s so nice to be able to share these feelings with someone who draws as well! I apologize for the long message, but I’d love to share some tips based on my 5-month experience 💝: Filming: I shoot all my videos using my smartphone and utilize tools for filming. Here’s an example of the equipment I use: th-cam.com/video/8SVXcTXHgeg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=48elp5qHwQn8uSoa Editing: For short videos (vertical format), I do all the editing on my smartphone. By the way, currently, you can only set thumbnails for short videos when uploading from your smartphone 😦 For editing, I use a free app called VITA, which doesn’t add watermarks 📲 For long videos (horizontal format), I use a paid software called Premiere Pro on my PC. However, if you don’t plan on doing complex editing, editing on your smartphone is also totally fine! One thing to keep in mind is that editing can result in large file sizes, so having a device with good performance is crucial 🤔 Devices with higher processing power make editing much smoother (as slower devices may crash during editing) For short videos, I usually don’t fast-forward. Instead, I pick sections where I want to show real-time drawing or highlight interesting sounds from the process. For long videos, I vary between real-time and fast-forward depending on what I want to convey. (In my recent video, I fast-forwarded to show the entire process that took over 10 minutes of drawing.) Sharing: I don’t currently do much in terms of sharing my videos elsewhere, but many creators promote their videos on other social media platforms, so it might be helpful to find an approach that works for you 🥰 Production: This might be more about mindset, but when you start TH-cam, it’s easy to get caught up in metrics like view counts. My advice is to focus on enjoying the process rather than worrying too much about the numbers. As you keep creating, you’ll find people who support and encourage you, which will become a great source of motivation! Even if you start by drawing based on someone else’s work for inspiration, as you continue, you’ll naturally develop your own originality. Enjoy this part of the journey too 💞! Whether it’s with pencils, mechanical pencils, markers, or paints, the most important thing is to have fun! If you ever decide to use a lightbox in the future, I recommend one that’s thin and doesn’t overheat, as some lightboxes can get hot after prolonged use! Sorry for the lengthy reply, but these are just some thoughts based on my experience! I hope you find them helpful in some way. As you said, sharing what we have and learning from each other, including through Pinterest, is one of the most wonderful parts of creating. For this drawing, I actually chose a pose that’s easier for me to draw 🤭When I pick easier poses, I tend to make the character stand stiffly, so I tried adding a bit of movement to the hand, and if that made it look elegant, then I feel really lucky! lol Thank you for reminding me of samurai! To be honest, after finishing the drawing, I thought maybe I should have added a katana… so it made me happy to realize we were thinking the same thing 😂💕 I used to draw swords before, so now I want to try drawing one again! It truly motivates me to keep creating and sharing content 💖 Actually, in old Japan, when kimono was everyday wear, it seems that long-haired men were fairly common. That’s why I draw the character with this hairstyle! Here’s a little fun fact: the kimono worn by men and women are actually different 💡 (Though my drawings aren’t particularly accurate in that regard…) My art style tends to result in quite androgynous-looking characters, so I think there are probably others besides you who see them as “a woman wearing a kimono” 😂✨ To be honest, since I’m happy as long as people enjoy my videos, I haven’t paid much attention to mentioning the character’s gender! But I was happy to receive such an interesting question, so I wanted to share this with you 🥰 Thank you so much for always supporting me!
