Thanks! I'll have to lower arena music next video. Glad you enjoyed it though!
Nice Job defeating two bosses this episode, The Four Kings are a DPS race so they tend to feel easy the later you vs them. Also the closer you are to them the less damage their sword attacks do. THINGS LEFT TO DO (in no particular order) 1) Secret Area in Anor Londo (need doll from secret area accessed from firelink shrine to unlock painting in anor londo) 2) Hidden Boss in Anor Londo (Need Dark Moon Séance Ring which is in catacombs) 3) Unexplored Area in Darkroot Basin (Killing a big thing here is step one of unlocking DLC) 4) Clear Demon Ruins (past quelaggs boss room, one of the Lord Souls is accessed through here) 5) New Londo Ruins (only fully completable once you get a ring from behind Glowing door in Darkroot) Unlocking DLC (recommended doing immediately after getting all 4 lord souls, you can't beat the final boss first as it puts you immediately in New Game+) 1) Kill big thing in Darkroot Basin 2) Immediately save and quit then load back into game 3) Continue past where big thing was until you see a Golden Golem 4) Kill Golden Golem which spawns friendly NPC you can talk to 5) Go to start of Anor Londo and kill the Blue Golem in the naughty corner, he should now drop DLC key 6) Go back to where Golden Golem was and you should see a black portal. (FYI you can warp out of DLC at bonfires so you don't need to worry about entering portal)
Nice one on dealing with Sif and Seath, you're getting close to the end now THINGS LEFT TO DO (in no particular order) 1) Secret Area in firelink Shrine (needed to access secret area in Anor Londo) 2) Secret Area in Anor Londo (need doll from secret area accessed from firelink shrine to unlock painting in anor londo) 3) Clear Demon Ruins (past quelaggs boss room, one of the Lord Souls is accessed through here) 4) Unexplored Area in Darkroot Basin (Killing the Hydra here is step one of unlocking DLC) 5) Hidden Boss in Anor Londo (Need Dark Moon Séance Ring which is in catacombs) 6) New Londo Ruins (only fully completable once you get a ring from behind Glowing door in Darkroot) Unlocking DLC (recommended doing immediately after getting all 4 lord souls, you can't beat the final boss first as it puts you immediately in New Game+) 1) Kill Hydra in Darkroot Basin 2) Immediately save and quit then load back into game 3) Continue past where big thing was until you see a Golden Golem 4) Kill Golden Golem which spawns friendly NPC you can talk to 5) Go to start of Anor Londo and kill the Blue Golem in the naughty corner, he should now drop DLC key 6) Go back to where Golden Golem was and you should see a black portal. good video!
I’m literally dying at the poor invader trying to show you the good stuff and you’re hacking away at him 😂 Nice job with Seath! I died a lot on my way there, somehow managed to miss the falling snow/crystals and fell off everything, and somehow aggroed all the butterflies. You got him pretty quickly as well, awesome! Poor Sif, you didn’t quite get to the part (or managed to speed through it) where Sif starts limping towards the end of the fight and you reeeeeally don’t wanna kill that fluffy good boi 😭 he’s just protecting stuff, being good, until we come along 🥲 Alright, you’ve got 2 lord souls left I believe; Bed of Chaos and the Four Kings. Which one do you think you’re going to go for? If you’re gonna go for Bed, I highly suggest investing in the heaviest shield you can find. Ditch the grass crest shield for the boss fight and you’ll understand why. You want something as sturdy as possible but I’ll let the other commenters guide you on the best shield for that. May involve some grinding. And for Four Kings, it’s time to start grabbing some transient curses because you’re gonna be heading through New Londo Ruins and you’ll need them. Nothing worse than not being able to fight back against an angry ghost. Good luck! Super keen to see your next Dark Souls video!
I felt terrible when I realised what the invader was trying to show XD. But I thank the for their patience with me! I don't know which lord soul I'll go to next, but I guess I'll figure it out by or during the next video!
Nice Job getting through most of Dukes Archives So the way forward to get to the second Seath Fight is shown at 59:50 you can actually drop onto that staircase from the platform you are on and turn the crank, that will turn the staircase and allow you to access further into the archives and unlock a shortcut back to the bonfire as well. Good Luck and don't you dare go hollow! THINGS LEFT TO DO (in no particular order) 1) Secret Area in firelink Shrine (needed to access secret area in Anor Londo) 2) Secret Area in Anor Londo (need doll from secret area accessed from firelink shrine to unlock painting in anor londo) 3) Clear Demon Ruins (past quelaggs boss room, one of the Lord Souls is accessed through here) 4) Crest of Artorius to unlock Glowing door in Darkroot garden (buy from andre) 5) Unexplored Area in Darkroot Basin (Killing a big thing here is step one of unlocking DLC) 6) Hidden Boss in Anor Londo (Need Dark Moon Séance Ring which is in catacombs) 7) New Londo Ruins (only fully completable once you get a ring from behind Glowing door in Darkroot) Unlocking DLC (recommended doing immediately after getting all 4 lord souls, you can't beat the final boss first as it puts you immediately in New Game+) 1) Kill big thing in Darkroot Basin 2) Immediately save and quit then load back into game 3) Continue past where big thing was until you see a Golden Golem 4) Kill Golden Golem which spawns friendly NPC you can talk to 5) Go to start of Anor Londo and kill the Blue Golem in the naughty corner, he should now drop DLC key 6) Go back to where Golden Golem was and you should see a black portal. Can I play with you
awesome bro! keep up the good work, you've got the energy
Thank you! During recording for this video I felt a little unsure on it but it turned out alright :)
Nice job beating Nito Few notes here First off your weapon, its fine if you want to keep using the Lightning Claymore, just remember your Silver Straight Sword does better damage. Even if right now the numbers are similar, any Lightning weapon does not get ANY scaling from your stats, meaning that levelling strength/dex is useless for it. Damage from lightning tends to fall off unless an enemy is weak to it. Your Strength/Dex is still a bit low try to get Dex to 30 as Silver Knight Straight Sword scales better with it (ignore if using lightning claymore) Try to swap between 2Hand and Shield when fighting as there are times when it is safe for multiple hits (like against nito) when you could be 2handing then switch to 1hand/shield when you need to block or dodge. This will makes fights easier. You can also experiment with other weapons you have to test damage Also just fyi you picked up THE speedrun weapon (Black Knight Halbred) while in Tomb of the Giants at 22:20 when the Black Knight fell off the edge. Its one of the best weapons in the game Now that you are done with Tomb of the Giants you have these options 1) Secret Area in firelink Shrine (needed to access secret area in Anor Londo) 2) Hidden Boss in Anor Londo (Need Dark Moon Seance Ring which is in catacombs) 3) Golden Door in Demon Ruins (past quelaggs boss room) 4) Golden Door in Anor Londo (left from first bonefire or straight ahead from where you first enter Anor Londo 5) Covenant of Artorius to unlock Glowing door in Darkroot (buy from andre)
So many options of what to do next! I'll have to try the Black Knight Halberd next time!
Yaaaay you made it beyond the hellhole of O&S, now you never have to look back and you can warp around instead of running everywhere. Well, most places anyway. Tomb of the giants is awful but yeah, use the lantern and try not to get jump scared too much. There's a bonfire nearby there so make sure to explore around! Keep up the dark souls videos :3
Nice job beating Orn and Smough! Knew you could do it Couple things, firstly you should teleport back to firelink and talk to Frampt because you need to place the lord vessel to remove those yellow doors (keep note of where they are as those are where you go next. One is in tomb of giants) Speaking of Tomb of Giants you picked up a skull lantern and holding that like a shield and blocking allows you to light up the area Also Pinwheel is the easiest boss in the game, it's only hard if you don't do enough damage or take too long and let him spawn tons of clones, no idea why they made him that easy but hey now you can make bonfires give 20 estus! Now there is still a secret area hidden via an Easter egg in firelink shrine, that in turn allows you to get a doll which can be used at the painting in Anor Londo😊 Also might want to get a divine weapon as those skeletons will keep on respawning as long as either a necromancer is around (fireball skeles) or you kill them with a divine weapon. Skeletons can't respawn if killed with a divine weapon. Also after tomb buy the covenant of artorius from Andre and use it at the sealed door in darkroot. There's something past there you'll need that the game doesn't really tell you
I'm so glad there's a lantern I can use. A lot of direction for next video too! I'll have to get a divine weapon sorted
i love valheim : D but i never managed to explore the mistlands and those lands with mosquitoes :D
I haven't explored mistlands yet, but I have dealt with the mosquitoes on the plains. When I play I relegate back to base organisation too much and end up making no progress XD
Nice video, enjoyed the editing flex Honestly I think you did really well at learning Orn and Smough. Your first attempt was really good (most people die way earlier) and you got to second phase within just a few attempts The biggest problems I saw for you were two main things. 1) Lack of damage output: Honestly if you had better damage you'd have beaten them by now for sure. 2) Spamming dodge roll and exhausting stamina too much: you tend to spam the dodge roll too much in a lot of attempts here instead of getting the timing and knowing when to literally run away, a lot of this fight tends to be repositioning so you can separate the duo and get in damage without taking too many hits. You also tend to exhaust your stamina without allowing stamina to get away after you get in your hits which can easily lead to being stun locked. You can go back to the Giant Blacksmith and change your weapon back to a +10 claymore or you can try upgrading the silver knight sword and test if you can get more damage out of it. Lightning weapons lose all of their scaling from Dex/strength and although neither stat of yours is above 28 you are still getting scaling from both which improves your damage a fair chunk. Using the soul of the firekeeper means you can't get firelink shrine bonfire back which is going to be a tad annoying but less annoying once you get the ability to teleport Also I noticed in one attempt you put on more armour and started fat rolling, that's where you do the tumble roll over one shoulder. You don't want that but you can't experiment with different armour pieces to see how much defense you can get without fat rolling. The FAP ring you equipped should allow you to equip slightly heavier armour. At a guess I'd say you could equip the entire elite knight set while also swapping out a piece or two for black iron or havel
There was a lot of cut armour changes and such. It's reassuring to hear I was doing alright into them, and it was just damage output was low from weapons. Hopefully I get them next time!
Alrighty you made it past the gauntlet of Sens Funhouse and the dreaded archers. You have a real challenge coming up soon... However before that, a few notes First off you will soon get to a big room with two big knight dudes and one silver knight, youll be able to see the boss fog wall in this room too. Before going down to challenge those big dudes, take a detour up and around to go kill the single silver knight then go through the little corridor that you pash on your way to him. This will lead you to a blacksmith who will help you prepare for the upcoming boss. Additionally by going this way you can unlock a small iron gate which will stay open and allows you to get back to the start of Anor London without having to go past the archers. Your weapon should ideally be +10 for the upcoming boss. The blacksmith in anor londo sells large titanite if needed You need more HP so any levels you get before the boss, you should put into HP as its better than focusing on Endurance to wear heavy armor. Damage may make the fight slightly quicker but HP will prevent more failed attempts If you happened to pick up regular Magic Weapon you can use that to make your weapon do a bit more damage, otherwise 15 intelligence is required for Great Magic Weapon and 4 levels in hp are better atm Play around with what armour will give you the most defense and poise while still preventing a fat roll. Lastly remember how your fire keeper died? Well its time to get revenge, put the black orb in your item slot and youll see in the big room with the two big dudes and the boss door you can use it, highly recommend doing this before the boss as you get a ring that boosts HP, Stamina and Equip load but it breaks if you take it off so don't. Also make sure you don't boost your estus with the firekeeper soul you get from this because you need it to get the firelink shrine firekeeper back Good luck Skeleton and hang in there
WHY? WHY are you playing HL2 now? What made your decision? Whats going on? why is everyone playing Halflife for no reason?
Why are you NOT playing Half Life for no reason?
We should ALL just be playing Half Life 2! It's just fun!
Dude you should have used a Homeward Bone when you had all those souls. Big F to U.
I honestly forgot about that item. I'll hopefully remember for next time. Just have to gather the souls again...
@@pureparzival1579 i believe in U bro Lets gooo!
Hope you are enjoying your time in Sen's Funhouse 😏 So a few things Firstly your voice is too quiet compared to your game audio Secondly your montage music is a bit loud You keep forgetting you can perform a plunge attack with R1 whenever you are falling, anything hit with the plunge attack takes critical damage and it can often stagger or flatten smaller enemies You really need to need other players messages more, at 15:30 the wall in front of you is a illusion wall that allows you to get back up from the bottom pit in Sens fortress. Also messages at 37:08 show bonfire As you have noticed as well Sens tries to teach you that you can sometimes use the environent to kill enemies, they also take fall damage Gold Serpent ring increases chances of getting item drops from enemies Remember to activate the cage elevator at the top of Sens fortress seen at 51:38 This elevator is super useful as it allows you to return to Andre and upgrade your weapon (also you can grab more large titanite from that NPC in sens) before fighting the upcoming boss and will also allow you to go back to firelink from the next area (you can talk to the demon to transport you back to sens from the upcoming area) There are still things you can do before exploring the next area that I put in my last comment on your last video but that is up to you 😊 That Flamberge is a rare drop btw (ive never used it) you should try out its moveset and let me know what you think
A lot for me to keep in mind! I will have to try out the Flamberge next time. I've also fixed the audio problem (hopefully) for next time!
Nice Job with Quelagg, she's a fun boss So yeah the gold guy killed the Firekeeper at firelink and you just got a firekeeper soul to buff your estus too... Worry not however as there is a secret bonfire downstairs from the bell after Quelagg's arena and there is a firekeeper NPC that can allow you to buff your Estus, additionally resting at that bonfire will benefit you later But now you have some options of where you can go 1) Sens Fortress just near Andre the Blacksmith. If you go here you need to remember there is only one bonfire in the fortress and it is at the top and you have to drop down to it from a crumbled wall. Also make sure to find the key to the elevator at the top of Sens Fortress as it will make getting back down to Andre a ton easier 2) there is a secret somewhere in firelink shrine that leads to a "new" area, the main reason to go to this "new" area is to get a Doll that will allow you to access another optional area later in the game 3) there is a secret optional area hidden somewhere at the bottom of blight town As for Frampt the serpent, basically if you feed him an upgrade material he will break it down into smaller ones eg: one Large Titanite becomes two Regular Titanite shards, not really worth using You dont HAVE to feed him anything for story or anything. But you can also feed him all the doubles of any equipment or weapons you have and youll get a small amount of souls for each. Great for cleaning up your inventory
Thanks for having me on! Do we need to have a final collab to break our 1-1 record from this one and the Pokémon gym video?
In the near future we will need to!
@@pureparzival1579How though? That’s a question we will answer another time!
I call it Toxic Town haha, I petition a name change! Good job with Quelaag, she got me a few times before I finally remembered to stop rolling into lava. Super keen to see how you go in the next area (if you've forgotten, take a walk just outside Andre's blacksmith shop and you'll see the gates been opened). In your next video pls do a compilation of how many times you die, if it's any less than 70 I shall be slightly disappointed haha. Keep it up! Now, let us mourn the loss of Our Lady Firekeeper.
Thank you! I was legitimately distraught when I realised what had happened to her. The most I've been invested in this game!
Okay nice job getting through BlightTown, usually most people find it to be a painful area filled with lots of death but you did well. There are a fair few things I'll note 1) As you might have guessed you missed out on a bonfire and a boss. The bonfire is right near the waterfall elevator in a sewer tunnel. The Boss you can find by exploring the bottom of Blightown but I suggest saving some poison moss to get rid of poison right before entering the boss arena so you don't have to wait for poison to fade manually or end up doing the boss while poisoned (Don't forget to ring the bell after you beat the boss as it shows you where to go next) 2) There are a couple of secrets at the bottom of Blightown, one hides an entire area and one hides a helpful bonfire which is useful for later on. If you need help finding these you can either ask me or pay attention to orange messages from other players. There is also a secret hidden in Firelink Shrine you haven't found yet which you'll need to find to get a key to a future area. 3) There is only one bonfire in the next area you are directed to go after the upcoming boss and ringing the bell and the bonfire is very easy to miss so I am just going to tell you to save you time and pain. Its right at the top once you drop from a broken wall. There is also an Elevator you can enable in that same area if you can find the key 4) Your Weapon can be upgraded past +5 but the way to do it is not made very clear. Once Andre has the Large Ember you can go to Modify Weapon to change any +5 weapon into a +6 weapon with a large titanite. Then for 6-10 you go to Reinforce Weapon again. Don't ask me why they made it that complicated but this is also how you make elemental weapons. Get a weapon to +5 then change it to the element in Modify Weapon but you need the elements corresponding Ember to do so. Good Luck and don't you dare go hollow
Loved the commentary and play style 👍
well played on that 2v1 at the exit of BlightT :D Look for Stability on Shields, The more stability the less stamina is drained by blocking :D
Thank you! I made a point to actually use my shield this time, which helped a lot through Blight Town xD
Sliiiiimerrrr
Great video, shame you forgot about the elevator that connects the church to firelink shrine 😂😂 So some tips At 2:40 you inspect your shields to see which one is better, if you hit X to toggle display you'll actually see the rest of the shield stats mainly what % of damage it blocks and the stability. Higher stability means blocking uses less stamina and means you can block tougher attacks. (Spider shield blocks 100% of damage and also has poison resistance so its good for blight town) Btw if you are gonna use a shield you should actually block with it xD otherwise the shield provides 0 benefit and you may as well two hand your weapon for the bonus damage Sorcery scales with Intelligence meaning you need higher Int to use more advanced sorcery and also to do more damage with it. There is a NPC at firelink shrine near the stairs that go up to the aquaduct that sells better sorcery. There are also spells that put a magic buff on your weapon to make it do more damage Pyromancy on the other hand does not need stats to use (other than attunement to hold more spells at one time) Pyromancy also doesnt scale with stats rather it scales with upgrading the pyromancy flame which can make it cheaper to invest into than sorcery or miracles (which use faith) you upgrade your flame at the pyromancy NPC at firelink There is a NPC that sells stuff right at the doors to blighttown, if he is not there anymore it means he moved to firelink shrine under the aquaduct you walk through to undead burg. He sometimes sells armor of bosses and special enemies once you beat them as well At the start of the blight town area on your left hand side youll see an item that looks like you can jump to. You can actually make this jump, further more it actually gives you an easy route to the first bonfire which allows you to either go forward or go back to explore which having to make a long trek from the depths if you die Strength and Dex (also intelligence, and faith) have a softcap at 40 in which after 40 they provide less damage increase per level in the stat Gaping Dragon which you beat in this video had an NPC you could summon for it Solaire, but for any NPC summon for a boss you need to be human Gaping dragon also had a cuttable tail like in Monster Hunter which would give you a weapon when you cut it off, there are still a few bosses/mini bosses in the game that have tails you can cut so keep that in mind if you wanna try it
So much info...a lot for me to remember and consider for next video. I didn't even think the Gaping Dragon tail might've been cuttable. That's pretty cool. I'll have to keep the stat info in mind when leveling next video (Glad I have a heap of souls from Gaping Dragon to use!)
1 tip: Try to inspect your shields, each shield have diffrent physical, fire and lightning resistance 😄
Gg wp :D im also new in souls games, I finished dark souls 1 two days ago now im in dark souls 2 :D
I'm very new, and still don't fully understand a lot of the stats. But I'm getting there!
Woah, I didn't know Australia had nerdy dudes. Very strange to see.
I live for jank like this.
Memedecks are always fun!
Nice job securing the win despite all that bad luck aha Surprised you didn't tera in the first game. Also you never made use of Salt Cure on Garg it's really really broken
I legitimately forgot I could terastallize in the first half of the first battle XD
I just realised you said another “cool” pun while talking about puns Anyway, this was an absolute blast to do!
So glad you noticed after recording! XD Was awesome fun to record this with ya though!
lol I remember the first time Capra Demon and the fucking dogs in the most small room............
The dogs made it such a nuisance to feel like you can even get started on the Capra Demon! Someone pointed out the use of the stairs, which saved me! (He's not too bad once the dogs are gone...)
Capra is honestly one of the worst, but glad you got through! Took me so, SO many goes before I finally beat him. I never want to relive that again haha. Can’t wait to see how you go further in on the game, you’ve got some really cool (and majorly soul crushing) things ahead 😅
Oh god you were right, I was VERY loud XD
I spent so long editing the audio to balance us xD
@@pureparzival1579 Even then, I was still waaaay too loud XD I’m so sorry
Okay so notes for next session In Capra fight go up the stairs and to the right to stand on the arch, use that to get rid of the dogs If you then hold up your shield you can block Capra hits until you make him fall off the stairs so you can heal and plunge There is a magic NPC in the area before the Capra fight you need the residence key from the undead merchant near the undead burg bonfire (the dragon one) (this is just in case you want to try magic) There is a pyromancer NPC in the start of the depths, find and free him before continuing if you want to try pyromancy at all Large ember for upgrading in the chest at the start of the depths in case you have large titanite to upgrade your weapon with Crystal lizards that drop upgrade materials when you kill them (if they disappear then just rest at a bonfire) One in a barrel just before Taurus demon Another in darkroom basin if you go down the side path at the start (past the titanite demon near Andre)
Thanks for the tips, I'll try keep them in mind next video!
Hi
i can tell you are like silver due to that piece of sh* crosshair u got
ah yes, the capra demon, what an annoying fight, hopefully there won't be anymore fights with a capra demon
I get the feeling that this is not the only Capra Demon...
Not too bad of an outcome considering everything that happened in the mine throughout the video
It did go okay! My lack of knowledge did not help! 😅
I love the classical music for the montage XD
Nice video, with those stone knights you need to remember the golden rule of dark souls combat Try but hole (stab the butt) Seriously it works for most things
I will try this on the next enemy I see!
Very nice, just remember to use lock on as it can stop you from getting backstabbed when you are trying to distance yourself from enemies and it helps you not miss attacks. The next intended area of progression is a pain to find and can waste a lot of time so I'll just tell you, you need the basement key (which you pick up at the gate where the boar was if you don't already have it) then you can use that key on a door at the start of the drake bridge. But you don't have to go there now if you don't want to Also for the moment the most you can upgrade your current weapon to is +5 so it may be a good idea to max it out now
Oh I feel your pain, bud. I really do. Getting to those gargoyles was hell (that fire keeper soul in the cathedral was an absolute horror to finally grasp), and the gargoyles themselves? Awful. Entirely awful. It took me so many tries with extra Estus and the help of npc's haha. Somewhere though, amidst all the suffering and pain, I somehow began to... relish it. My disgust at seeing Dark Souls pop up on my screen suddenly became desire. Unknowingly, I began to seek it out. Can't sleep? Time to grind for souls. Just woke up? Time to farm Humanity. Dying repeatedly was no longer painful, it was pleasant. Surprisingly pleasant. My hate became happiness. PureParzival, I think you might end up just like me someday soon. Dark Souls is addictive, just like some other *certain games*. I can't wait to see your next playthrough, keep going! The gargoyles will be done soon enough and then you can experience so. much. more. See ya in Anor Londo!
I am a little worried this is starting to happen to me too!
I will happily take the blame for this. Its a very enjoyable experience to watch people play Dark Souls for the first time
Hey mate! I don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about, I would die immediately especially because I’ve never played a dark souls or a similar one in that genre XD Keep it up, love the energy and your approach!
FIRST! XD Loved watching this but then again I'm biased since I love this game. A few tips: 1) You can hit upwards and downwards by pressing the desired direction and then attacking (Saw how you had trouble hitting some of the flying enemies) 1.5) Hitting downwards on an enemy or spike allows you to 'pogo' this can help you kill enemies, avoid taking damage and in some cases reach new areas 2) Getting the Quill allows you to fill in the blank areas of the map once you explore them by resting at a bench 3) The Pins you can get at the map shop are really useful but I'd say the main one you'd want is the bench pin to mark every bench you go to (Benches as you may have noticed set your new spawn point when you die which makes the pins helpful to avoid a lot of unnecessary walking after a death) 4) The bench you found near the boss with the toll was a stag station, these essentially allow you to fast travel to areas of the map so make sure you go back and pay the 50 Geo to open it (There will also be one in dirtmouth once you unlock the first one)
