What's going on with the 63 Cadillac??
มุมมอง 633 หลายเดือนก่อน
This time there is no problem, but I noted a problem. For anyone who wants me to do the right thing and clean this engine and bay spotless and rebuild the engine with all new parts and make it drive like brand new, I would. but life gets in the way and I need this car running sooner rather than later.

Insane failure of Crankshaft timing gear. I genuinely have never seen anything like this before. DISCLAIMER: I used the word 'rebuilt' incorrectly. I did NOT send the block to a machine shop I only honed the cylinders myself. machine shops cost money I don't have. just to have the heads done cost a whole paycheck. So then what did you do to it? Well I Replaced the: -rod bearings. -main bearings...

1963 Cadillac : Original A/C Compressor in action.
มุมมอง 72ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I show the 60yr old freon compressor working in my cadillac, with a pressure readout to show it is working. I explain what has been done to this AC system, what's aftermarket and what's original to the car. It's a video about a freon compressor, so dont expect much. I'm not an a/c pro, I'm still learning so any tips and tricks would be much appreciated! 2023 - Junior Television -...

Repairing the Guide-Matic on a 1963 Cadillac Pt.1
มุมมอง 296ปีที่แล้ว
In this video series, I go through the dashboard of my 1963 Cadillac, and attempt to repair the Guide-Matic automatic high-beams. In part one, I explain how it works, the steps we need to take to get to the amplifier and how to remove the dashboard top. Missing tools means I can't do this all in this video, but we get about halfway there. Also secret life hack how to remove 1963 Cadillac dashbo...

Junior Television's Sixth Birthday Recap Video

THE ADS ARE NOT MY FAULT I APOLIGIZE THE SONG I USED WAS CLAIMED This video is basically a recap of what this channel is about. At first i thought the first few videos in the montage were cringe, but I realized it's just a young JTV ready to grow and evolve to become what we have today. Also, my voice used to be surprisingly high pitched.

What is it like to daily drive something like this today ?
So so beautiful and magic!
Love it!
This is nice 🎵🎻🎻did they do any other albums in addition to this one?
Very good
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
¡¡BIEN!!
감사합니다
By the way the woman looks on the album cover, I'm saying maybe 1970- 1971?
Beautiful nostalgic era in. Music
I have a very similar car and i am unsure what the lock/unlock button does. Wether its a window lock, or a door lock either way its broken. It would be a huge help if you knew
I've been doing some research on that system, as mine are also broken. They are lock/unlocked buttons for the power locks, I've never come across an example that works, but when I repair mine I will probably make a repair guide video
Where’s the radiator
This was taken while i verified that the timing was correct. the radiator is now installed!
im gonna guess flat tappet
That is correct!
I saw a 1964 deville 4-door at the Lauderdale-Miami Manheim auction over 15 years ago. When it came thru the auction lane a naked woman couldn`t have got more attention, it was black and chrome with Prada Interior. When it came thru it slowly sat down with the air bags, the auctioneer said this car needs no introduction we are starting at 14k and going north, it went up to 20k the unknown owner said no. Long story short I dreamed of owning a car like that Caddy, last year I got one about the same condition as this car on the video. Now finding some one to restore it like the one I saw is a challenge, I have several projects including a 63 l Lincoln 4-door but the Caddy is my favorite. I paid 3k curious what this one costed
This car was certainly no bargain, totalling $8,000. However, I'm not too sore as it was appraised at $12,650. I've seen a few of these 63 cadillacs around, but a Lincoln I have not. Sounds like some cool projects.
My favorite lesabre
This was my very first TV!!! I got it Christmas of either ‘83 or ‘84 and had it all the way to ‘95. When I lived in the Netherlands, I had my Commodore 64C and a Sony Betamax VCR hooked up to it. Thanks for the upload….brings back so many memories!!
Very glad you just posted this video, it was a huge help for getting the door panels off of my newly acquired 1990 lesabre
Be My Love Miss Casey
That was nice.
'promo sm' 💘
Well if the saying is correct they say you get what you pay for 😂😂 keep it coming 👀 🍿
Don't ever trust cheap parts. I will a used original part before I buy a Chinese piece of crap. I have seen ball joints and wheel bearings fail in just a few days. Brand new. Right out of the box.
That looks like a powdered metal part. I have worked in that business. The part probably got bumped/ruff handled in the green state (powder pressed together) before ran through the furnace. Can happen even from quality suppliers especially with low volume service parts.
There are no genuine GM parts for a car that old unless it is new old stock or something real common that a lot of cars used. It will just be aftermarket stuff in a GM box. The OEMs will at least make an effort to source good aftermarket parts.
Just a little advice on the video...... see if you can turn on camera stabilization on your phone. If it cannot do that I'd look around for a different one. Great content but smoothing out the video jerkiness will help a lot. 😁 Your enthusiasm reminds me of.... well me actually. My first Cadillac was a 63 Fleetwood. Bought it during the summer of 1985. Your car is in MUCH better shape. lol
Dig the cool old adding machine in the trunk. lol..... That is a really nice original car. Great find!
its almost been tempting to go to junkyards for any kind of replacement parts for my cars last couple years, i swear all auto parts brands are buying into the planned obsolescence of vehicles, if people wont buy the new cars that break, give them parts for the old cars that will, part of the reason why i stopped working at advance auto, people coming in to replace starters, alternators, batteries, ignition parts and even sensors, just weeks or a couple of months after purchase, usually right out of free warranty time too. quality ain't what it used to be.
Rock auto doesn't make any parts.
Exactly. I blame operator error, judging by the state of that filthy "rebuilt" engine.
The older I get I'm realizing it's better to buy quality replacement parts, though it is always tempting to try and save on economy parts.. it really all depends on where the part is and what the part it is.. sometimes with OEM parts vs genuine OEM it's only a stamped logo but still made by the same manufacturer. I buy Rockauto a lot and only a few were not good, but otherwise it's a great resource and service they have available. 👍
Define just rebuilt. That's got 100K worth of oil/dirt on it.
Too lazy to clean it. New rods, mains, rings, had the crank and cam mic'd (well within spec) had the heads cleaned, New freeze plugs, magnafluxed and new valve springs, seals. New lifters pushrods, etc. Only thing I didn't do was clean the block and cam bearings.
@@JuniorBearTelevision You reinstalled that filthy intake manifold? If ANY, of ALL of that crap fell into the engine...there's your problem!
There's an inch of oil/crud on that engine? You "just" rebuilt it? A rebuild is bearings, pistons, re-bore, cam bore, internal cleaning, etc., etc. Also, bad gas won't bend a pushrod.
I was thinking the same thing. No machine shop would do any work on than lump without hot-tanking it. My idea of a rebuild is different to his. 😂
Ones I got wrong alternator belt from guys but rest was ok so far.
368 ci ?
Sh*t happens.. I ordered a fair number of parts from Rock Auto and never had a problem
got an ecu that was fucked from the start from them. Case was all bent so it would start the car fine until the underhood temps would go up and that case would get warm and wham, all sorts of gremlins until it got HOT and then it would run fine. Smacked the old ecu and put it back in and all good. rock auto is hit or miss
Yeah they even tell you their parts are so cheap there is no warranty or returns, buying from rock auto is the equivalent of buying the unwanted pallets from Walmart!
You can return parts. They are just crap to deal with.
Must’ve been built during covid. A lot of guys on the l83 and lt4 fourm including myself had bad ls7 lifters. Mine failed 15k later. I was doing a dod delete.
Buying "new" car parts are a crap shoot these days. Very little quality like in times past.
Preach. Happens all the time to me. 😢
I stopped buying from them after the third time they screwed me on fuel pumps
Good luck with your Cadillac. I had a race car that ran a mostly stock Buick 3.8 V6. I needed a set of rods, and RA showed they had twelve total, so I bought all of them. Nine were Buick, one was for a SBC, one was for a BBF, and I never did find out what the last one fit.
That must be the 6L V8. Can you imagine a car that size with the V6 option?
I'm curious to see if it runs with the new timing gears. You'll obviously just want to go grab a kit at NAPA or something. I'd turn the engine all the way over several times to make sure nothing sounds weird in there during the strokes. I just got a bad distributor from Rockauto. Again, the more expensive brand. I fortunately was able to return it and purchased at NAPA. It fired right up.
In good shape for the year . That would be beautiful restored .
BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. THANKYOU VERYMUCH
First tube is simply a ballast, if open you'd lose ability to select hi-beam. Test the other tube as a 12K5. There is a 100uF electrolytic cap, and likely several carbon composition resistors you will want to replace to restore proper operation. This is of course followed by final adjustment as per the Guide instructions.
Just found a 1983 model of this same TV at the dump. Almost perfect condition. I have about 20 old TVs similar to this ranging from the late 70s to early 90s.
Ignition keys were removable on GM products up into the seventies.
Trip reset is under the dash, I think.
I needed this. Thanks man
Buondì, vorrei sapere il musicista delle canzoni di Gary PucKet OVER YOU e AND THE GRASS WON'T PAY NO MIND di Neil Diamond, io ho la registrazione su una cassetta anni 60 - 70 ma non so chi le suona così bene, la musica è sublime e il coro pure !!! Grazie infinite
