I own several Lucchese, Justin, Tony Lama exotics and compared the Charles to the others and came across the Rujo Arturo. It's better made than the Charles in every way, plus at $500 I just could not see paying almost twice for the Luccheses the Arturo felt more comfortable as well.

Yes they’re expensive. But it’s worth it. Bought three pairs in the 80’s in San Antonio where my dad was living. Still have them and still wear them. 40 years later !!

I love my 2 pair of Rujos, so much so that I bought another pair (The Kirby's) which I am waiting to receive. However customer service is unpredictable. I put the Jimmy's (Python...the scales were lifted and they needed care) in my basket. I didn't need a 4th pair but they were on sale for $225 so I could not resist. When I came back later the price was $400. I contacted them but they refused to honor the original price. Since I had them in my basket for $225 I thought it fair that I be able to buy them but unfortunately no go. BTW...I also died in the hospital and was brought back to life.

The Rujo Arturo caiman is $625 and a better quality boot with more features than Luccese.

First and foremost I’m glad you made it through ❤ I have a pair on the way, I think Tecovas are garbage boots, I’ve purchased a pair when they first came out and I threw them in the garbage. They were terrible and I took very very good care of my boots.

Those are mighty fine boots. I do like the Diamondbacks better than the others. I do agree with Adam that the darker color is nice. The ridges on the darker boot, however, detract from their look, in my opinion. Congratulations on getting the boots.

I got a pair of JB Dillon ostrich and couldn’t get my fit thru the shaft. I took a wooden baseball bat (knob end) and pressed inside the shaft where the instep is for an hour 3 nights in a row and it stretched that open so my foot would go thru. Try that and see…?

I got a pair of Nolans from a tecovas warehouse sale. Size 9d. And they felt a little loose on me. All my tecovas boots are 9d.

It's interesting to see the light color on the shaft. At first glance, I didn't like it. It looked better to me as the video went on. I had the opportunity to meet a boot cobbler. She was very nice. It appears she loves making boots. Do they make boots out of bison leather?

Have a pair of Midland work boots and honestly materials wise, i feel like nothing beats the amount of leather this boot has at the price. I have 2 pairs for casual wear, as well. They’re all very comfy

Nice summary. Worth a mention is that the first prototype flew with a Rolls Royce Kestrel Engine, due to the unavailability of the Jumo. One benefit with the gear mounting points, was that they could put the fuselage up on it's gear & move it around the factory before the wings were attached.
