We Are Loved!
When all is boiled down, the simple fact of the Jesus Story is that we are all children of God and we are all loved - whether we recognise it, live into it or not. We are Loved!

LOVE! Grow Relationships - Breakdown Barriers!
มุมมอง 3719 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
When we want to maintain the integrity of our faith, our culture, our people... we often concretize beliefs, practices, rituals, traditions and emphasise those things in which we differ from others. Too often this leads us to create barriers and exclude or marginalise those who are different. Jesus invites us to understand that the practice of our lives, lived in the way of love, that will set ...
The Lure of Love's Unknown...
มุมมอง 5014 วันที่ผ่านมา
The choice is ever before us to hold to what is, go back to the past (usually a sentimentalised past) or walk into the future, the unknown, unknowable future. This future is created as we journey and trust. This is the essence of Jesus' invitation and as we come to the end of the long series on John 6, he offers his followers the choice to journey into life or go back to what was. He offers the...
Food for the Yearning Soul!
มุมมอง 5521 วันที่ผ่านมา
We all yearn, in the depths of our being, we yearn. We yearn for that which cannot be easily satisfied by the things our culture often focuses on - wealth, power, career, education... These are not all bad things but cannot ultimately satisfy the deep yearning of our soul, nor give us the life that is promised in the spiritual traditions of the world. Jesus speaks of his life that is given for ...
In the Mystery of Life and Death... There is Love!
มุมมอง 11228 วันที่ผ่านมา
There are moments when we are brought before the ultimate mysteries of life, especially in those moments we look death in the face - whether our own or another we love. It is a place of helplessness, powerlessness and we are aware of our inability to change anything, to control what is happening... It is a confronting and difficult moment, but it is also one that is deeply sacred and holy - and...
We are One but We're not the Same!

We all have people who we don't like, nor understand. There are people we are suspicious of, fearful of, jealous or just don't like - even hate. We are urged to look at and see people from a different perspective, recognising that our very differences, the things that cause stress, anguish and conflict, may also be the very thing that we need or deeply desire in another person. As U2 says, 'We ...
Food for the Hungry...
มุมมอง 56หลายเดือนก่อน
Hunger is a common human experience and comes in different forms and layers. A basic hunger is for food and unless that is satiated, we can't focus on other things, deeper hungers and meaning. Over the next few weeks we will delve into a meandering story from John's Story of Jesus (Chapter 6) where he speaks about hunger, of body, mind and spirit. Jesus speaks of hunger, bread and Bread for lif...
A Way of Hope and Love - Transforming People and our World...

Abusive Violence OR Healing Love??!

There is much violence in our world. Every news feed or report contains stories of violence in households, neighbourhoods of our world. The Simplicity of Love and Generosity

Actually the 'wind' is Ruach, the Hebrew name for Spirit. The wind is exactly the way Luke describes the coming of the Spirit. John 3 also describes the Spirit as wind that blows here and there. The flow is the way theologians describe the Trinity as perichoresis, the original Greek way the Trinity was described, named. It is the Divine flow of love that exists within the Trinity as a Relational Community grounded in love, which is how 1 John describes God. This is not 'new age trash' as you sadly describe it, but grounded in the deep theology off Bible and church. If you listen carefully, I speak about how the Spirit leads is into the ways of God, the inclusive reconciling mission of God (see Paul).

You speak of a god with a little ‘g’!! The wind and flow you speak of is nature. Where is your Centre? All this sentimental waffle is meaningless .. only feelings which Jesus says to beware of! Without Jesus, our risen Lord, we have no future. On Pentecost Sunday the focus is Gods gift of the Holy Spirt which is vital to Christians. He is to glorify Jesus and bring us to that same place. Very saddened to hear this ‘new age’ rambling coming from the U.C… but whither all they have shifted from in these past years

Video Editing is too low 👎👎👎👎 Edit the video in a good style. Add nice b-roll animation when you are speaking or explaining something. This will increase visualization. Put proper subtitles, effects, transitions, and colors in the video. Insert the B-Roll (footage and animation) very well because it is absolutely low in your video. Do all this and then see how the video doesn't turn out good. 🌵

Jesus did not believe in "god", the legend of Jesus is almost identical with the legend of Buddha. Even though the different kind of Bibles have been heavily edited for centuries, there is still left the Hebrew sentence: "Atem elohim", "you are gods" (Psalms 82:6, John 10:34). And "elohim" is plural, the same word originally as "el-ilah/allah" in Arabic. The correct translation is "All That Is" (tao). Jesus was a Buddhist scholar and healer, magician, and he returned to India where he died when he was 80. The grave is still in Kashmir (Issa's grave). The negative legend of Jesus was created by humans, who did not meditate and understand the real meaning of unconditional love. There is also a document "The letter of the oldest of the Essenes", where the healing process of Jesus is described very precisely. He was a master of meditation and a yogi, he did not die so easily. Read also the gospel of Thomas, there is not mentioned "satan or hell". There is a very detailed guidance, how you can move a mountain. That manifestation guidance is in every other religious tradition, as well. You create your reality yourself, with your thoughts.

Thanks, Geoff, for your reflection on Doug Purnell's painting. I appreciate the way in which you allowed yourself to be in the presence of the artwork, to receive the gift of its hospitable space which invited you to enter into a silent time of wonder that led to a conversation with your congregation on matters of life and death, being in life and vitality, and looking to what lies beyond what we come to know in our mortal experience. A warm sharing of faith, hope and love.

Job 1 1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. 2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. 3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yolk of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east. 4 And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them. 5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. 7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? 9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10 Hast thou not made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. 11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. 12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. 13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: 14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: 15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 18 While he was yet speaking, There came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: 19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. 22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
