Dude I still have the Sony MDR 1000x and they are great 😅 I only wish they had a usbc rather than the micro usb they have. I also have AirPods Max and Sonos Ace but still the Sonys are no slouch even though they are oooooooold. I recently gave them to my son and he’s enjoying them. They still look and perform like brand new.

Yes, I use any USB-C charger that's around honestly. So sometimes a phone charger and sometimes others.

I bought the xm3 , sound great but the built quality and material used was sub-par. They literally cracked from use in less than a year. Looking up this issue it was a common occurance.
Sorry to hear that! Hasn't been my same experience with the XM4s but it's a quite a bit to spend for them to break.
80-90% noise cancelation is phenomenal.
