It is an incredibly stunning world indeed. I agree this game is looking absolutely amazing. And it doesn't get enough credit. It had a very rough launch and it's gonna remain a problem. But lots of broken games at launch get lots of praise once fixed. This one, not so much sadly.

@PS5ProRob agreed, its unfortunate, but is it true they are going to make a sequel to it? If true, hopefully they've learned from this, and will launch it immaculate

@PS5ProRob yeah they made it 120hz for quality mode and balanced mode not sure why they didn't with performance, performance mode is just the same as before the patch at 60fps but more like 50s but the balanced and quality is amazing with a 120hz tv

By enabling it, you can achieve a high-definition visual experience by selecting either Quality Mode or Balanced Mode in Settings. The system supports 120 Hz Output. When enabled in Balanced Mode, it maintains a stable 40 FPS output. If you encounter any visual anomalies, you can turn it off in PS5 Settings. Various scenes and boss fights have been optimized for better game performance. The stability of frame rates and visual clarity in both Balanced Mode and Quality Mode have been enhanced. The input response speed has been improved in Performance Mode. From the patch notes much better than me trying to explain lol

@holgerverfolger3117 it's a whole lot better. First time I played the game on the PS5. The first hour, the frame rate was all over the place, dipping like crazy. Not a single frame dropped during my session here. But, I've played a bit further now, and a few hours into it, while in the umbral world especially, the frame rate does drop a bit. It is vastly improved but not perfect.

@PS5ProRob the map with fire have also framedrops , but the next Map there comes afterward , is realy real Bad. You have the Most time in this area 40 -50 FPS . And than when you Teleport Back to the map with all the npc's , for Upgrade weapons ...than you have amazing framedrops. This is the Same horrible Trash , this console can Not hold 60fps in Lords of the fallen. Thats is fact .

@@wayneg85 oh yeah for sure. The game isn't pushing any boundaries technologically. It looks fine for an open world game. But it's crazy that a game from the PS4 era (RDR2) looks so much better. It's the PlayStation studios that really push graphics to the next level, and Rockstar!

True. Uninstalled it after 5 hours of playing... just can't enjoy it despite being a Star Wars game.

HZD looks VERY clean, but it's rather flat compared to outlaws. Outlaws would be the clear winner imho if there wasn't the tech problems (shimmering etc)

Believe it or not this game IS pushing boundaries graphically on console. It has 3 different types of Ray Tracing, including the very expensive RT global illumination, and its an open world game. No Sony game is pushing this many types of RT in fact the only two Sony games using RT at all are Spiderman and Gran Turismo and both use a less demanding type of RT reflections. The problems in the Pro patch for this are much more a matter of the hardware/pssr, rather than this misnomer that's going around about it being the devs fault. All the games with issues on the Pro also happen to be some of the most demanding games on the market ...that's not a coincidence. When pssr is added and a game has to upacale from a low internal resolution (1080p or lower) and the game has RT, that's when we get these really poor results. Yes, pssr is in its early stages and will probably improve over time but ask yourself why devs are having to use such low native resolutions ...if the Pro had a beefier GPU, or if PSSR wasn't so costly to use, these gamea would be able to upscale from 1200-1440 (which is what Sony games are using btw) and would look a lot sharper and cleaner. This has been a painful pill for me to swallow as someone who had such high hopes for the Pro. Look at the games having the biggest issues: Avatar (also uses 3 forms of RT), Alan Wake 2 which is considered one of the heaviest games to run, SW Outlaws, and Silent Hill 2 which is the game in the worst shape right now which uses hardware Lumen on UE5. Sony seems to have made a console that can only deliver on its promise of "Fidelity mode-like visuals at 60 fps" in less demanding games that arem't heavy on Ray Tracing. That's not good considering games are only getting more and more demanding.

The input resolution on Quality 60fps is 1440p upscaled to 2160p.

I'm not into Star Wars either. I'm thinking maybe that's the reason I enjoy it so much. Seems like the game is getting flack from the fans. I just love the gameplay loop. I'm into action adventure games and I have a deep passion for stealth.

It was a very over ambitious project that really shoudnt have got the green light for release. If this would have been released mid to end of 2025 then we could have seen a semi decent games. But unfortunately due to pushy investors. We got this broken crap.

@@danloki78 this game was a project that started up and half way they wanted to pull plug but had greedy investors breathing down their backs. Even after the big patch they released. This is game if fundamentally broken from the ground up. Reminds me of an early cyberpunk project. After all the polish that game got you can still see the flaws right through to its core game mechanics.

And therein lies the problem with the Pro. Most gamers can't admit it but it's the console itself, not the developers, that is the real cause of these disappointing updates. The games having "bad pssr/bad patches" are all very demanding games using RT and having to upscale from low native resolutions. No upacaler does well when having to upscale from 1080p and below but because the console doesn't have a powerful enough GPU and has low memory bandwith (still), we're seeing it struggle to deliver on the whole promise of the thing- "quality mode-like visuals at 60 fpz" Gamers should be upset about this but understandably people don't want to see reality in this situation after getting our hopes up and spending so much $$ on it.

@azwilko1997 sorry I can't do anything about that. I'm only able to use the PS5 at the moment. And the only editor available is share factory. I've chosen the highest bitrate possible. Sorry bud. But also, TH-cam compresses videos as well so I wouldn't say it's all on my end.

Why not use the whole point of a ps5 pro. Pssr bro it's a new feature you may as well turn your ps5 pro in if you turn it of. Pretty silly . Yah it has issues but its a new feature and if I turn it of it jsut feels like a regular ps5 which that console is amuture and old i don't understand

@dannyCoolSwag thanks for the comment. If I'd play this on the base PS5 I wouldn't be able to play quality mode at 60fps. If I want 60fps on base PS5 I have to use Performance mode. The AFSR 3 makes it possible to run the game at 60fps on quality mode, same as PSSR, but without the shimmering issues. Ubisoft are working on fixing the PSSR and will update it again. @PS5ProRob I get that but I just carnt stomach not using a feature mainly designed for the pro. I hope they fix it because it still looks pretty bad. And I hate the flickering so I'm putting of playing it till. I Complete Indian jones on my series x and dragon age veilguard on my ps5 pro

@@patrikhellqvist6287 so like I said, if you've got a 120hz display and don't mind 40fps, go with that. But me personally, I'm always going for 60fps minimum. So either quality at 40fps (with 120hz) or quality at 60fps. With AFSR! Not PSSR.

@@techlover231 sorry to hear you're struggling with it. It is a unforgiving game. But it's easier now than it was at launch, plus the game can be turned off and you get a checkpoint. before, when turning the game off, the cycle ends. That was rough! It's alot of fun to play co-op. No shame in it. I helped a couple of friends to get through it. To me, it's worth every penny. It's such a unique experience and a breath of fresh air. Game is at its best when mastered. What a rush! This is the default suit. Getting the red lights on the shoes is a permanent suit upgrade, it makes it so that you can walk in the red lava stuff. Promethean Insulators You can find this one in Fractured Wastes (Biome 5). Somewhere early in the level, you will get to Hadal Vault area that requires three keys. In this central room, three main paths branch off leading to each of the three keys, but there is a blue locked door as well. Use a key to unlock this door and reach the Promethean Insulators. You can miss this and Xenotech Prisms, but you can always return to where they are in different run. With this you can travel red hazardous floors without taking damage. @quicsands nice! At least there's a save function now, which gives the player the option to turn the game off and it saves. I played the game when the function wasn't available. It was difficult! And had to leave the PS5 on for days sometimes. It's gonna be more and more fun the better you master it. Once you got all permanent upgrades unlocked you can explore every biome. Enjoy it and stay patient, and be very mindful of every decision, whether you take on a parasite or changing weapon. That's the beauty of the game, it's all about choices and the consequences that follow due go your choices. Learn from them. Try every weapon and experiment early on. Read up on all the artifacts, parasites and malignancy. It can be punishing but it's always fair. Enjoy the rush!

If you've got a 4k display I think it's definitely worth it. Cause the resolution is as high as the fidelity mode running at 60fps, but with shimmering issues and ugly water. @PS5ProRob nice! Oh yeah I have an LG OLED Gaming monitor and Black Friday got a LG C4 55inch OLED and wanted to play this game. I knew of the issues but assumed they wouldn’t remove the other graphics settings. I will install and play it this week, very good deal it’s £20 sealed at Smyths Toys

Cause one big selling point of getting a Pro, the biggest of all, is dependent on what display you've got. If you've got a 120hz display with VRR, it's definitely worth it. If not, you're not gonna get the most out of it I'm afraid.

@@joes4987 yeah the game doesn't tell the player what to do, it's old school and pretty hardcore. It's all about exploration and trying to put the pieces of the story together by yourself, and have your own interpretation on it. I love the game's mystery. It kept me engaged, I wanted to know more. But it's difficult to get anywhere if one keeps dying often. It's one of those games that gets better and better with time, And once mastered, then it's the biggest rush.
