Droneblocks: Fun with Functions
มุมมอง 4.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we are going to learn about Functions and comments. We build a function that flies in a square. We also build a function that flies in a triangle. The last function we make lets us pick the value for the long_side and short_side thus creating a rectangle path (unless you pick the same number for the long and short side lol) Want to learn much much more? Droneblocks: If Else Statements
มุมมอง 3.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we are going to learn about the If Else statement. We use Zigzags as a great example for if this, then that testing. We also touch on iteration (loops) using a counter for the first time. Want more? You can find some amazing resources on Droneblocks Site. Droneblocks: Dropdown Timer Drone
มุมมอง 2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we are going to turn our Tello Drones into dropdown timers. The drones will fly to a chosen height and then over the duration of the "timer" they will slow start to get lower and lower to the grab... they dropdown haha. This program uses variables and some clever math. Want more? You can find some amazing resources on Droneblocks Site. Simply get a Droneblocks Membership with this...
Droneblocks: Better Named Variables
มุมมอง 3.2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we add on to the previous programming concepts of loops and variables in Droneblocks. We will change the names of the previous variables to something more fitting. :) We will then test the drone using the drone simulator and seeing if our math adds up. Want more? You can find some amazing resources on Droneblocks Site. Simply get a Droneblocks Membership with this link : learn.dro...

Droneblocks: Getting Started with Tello Drone
มุมมอง 11K6 ปีที่แล้ว
As mentioned earlier, our Tello's do not have GPS so when we say "20 cm" it's kind of a guess. Let's get our bearings before we start creating our first programs. How it works We need to be very clear on how our Drone and how our App work together… but separately. Tello Wireless / WI-FI (this is the Wi-Fi the Tello Drone creates) Staff / Teachers / Home WI-FI (this is your home / school Wi-Fi) ...

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
it has been a while
Thanks for the lesson
Variables at 6:02
Variables builds off of of loops, fyi
This is awesome sir. I teach a 7/8 grade stem course in Reno, NV and wanted to check out your OneNote. Is there a way I can access it?
If I'm trying to connect my Droneblocks program to the DJI Phantom 3 (which I'm reading is possible on many websites). Does this process work the same for that? I don't believe the Phantom creates a network like the Tellos do.
Please send link to flight simulator and scratch sim.Love your vids.
Isn't a interior angle of a triangle equal to 60 degrees? Or have I been wrong my whole life...
That is correct, for an equilateral triangle, each angle is 60. The exterior angles are 120. The interior angles should add up to 180. Did I mix them up? :)
These videos are really well done- nice job!
Lots of issues with connecting to tello and executing code. I personally would not even waste my time with droneblocks its a nightmare and very little support unless you pay and subscribe.
Please do a tutorial on how to do a circle or round in droneblocks.Thank You
Please do a tutorial on how to do a circle or round in droneblocks.Thank You
Can you please provide the link to the flight simulator ? Thank you
Would really like to get that scratch sim program
Thank you for this series of videos. They are incredibly well crafted and informational. You have my thumbs and sub.
Really glad you liked them. Thanks for the sub and thumbs!
@@GetCTRLVideos...looking fwd to the scratch series!!!
Well done, sir,,I'm going to tell my kids to do this,,,
I'm turn on the notifications, sir...my tello for my kids it's on delivery,,,I really want to test this out...so cool
It's really cool. The new app update on iOS and Android supports camera display while your code is running as well as "take photo" option. It's so cool
Hi, where can we install your fly simulator??
I will send you the link soon. I'll also save and upload the scratch file. It is built in Scratch's Offline editor. :)
Great series. Would love to control pitch - and roll while we are at it?
Yeah totally agree. It would be great to control each motor separately. I don't think that's possible with the block code version just yet.
Thank you sooooo much, am learning python, and this little TELLO helped me learn so much faster, now am teaching my nephew's how to program. FUN TIMES ! Thank again !
can you determine the speed you can go forward or yaw? (like go forward 20 inches at x rate?) is it possible to have it automatically follow the code script without me have to step thru the script manually in the app? thank you for the video!
Hi, Thanks for your introduction and lessons about the Tello Drone. I will use parts of your video's to teach my high school students how to programm drones and let them fly autonomosly. Just a quick question. I cannot find the app droneblocks in the chrome webstore annymore. I continue to use a link which you shared in one of your video's. But I would like to know how I can find the app in the Chomestore myself. Keep up the good work!
Hi Peter, searching for the DroneBlocks apps isn't showing the app, but you can find it if you go to www.google.com and search "DroneBlocks webstore". Failing that www.droneblocks.io/app has a link to it (as well as the link from one of GetCTRL's previous videos) :)
Great lesson. Thank you. Looking forward for the next video.Greetings from Italy.
abite quite
Is the fifth video out?
Hi Anthony.... just released it. Sorry for the really long delay. Hope you enjoy #5
Hi - will you be uploading any more of these. They are great for me to help my young daughter to code.
Hi James... I've just finished the 5th video. Planning the 6th now. :) Thanks for commenting.
This was a very helpful intro to Droneblocks. thank you for the super dry teaching method.
Wheres the next video? This is great.
Great video instruction. We are using this at a 5th grade drone club. How do we get the drone simulator. Thank you.
more videos, please!
I made a very simple mission with droneblocks, tello just take off and then hovering sideways instead of doing mission. App reinstalled, actual firmware on tello.
That drone simulator would be a cool app or extension...
Yeah. It's currently just made in Scratch so not sure how that would port lol
@@GetCTRLVideos Great content! Can you please show or explain hot to run the droneblocks missions on to the Scratch offline editor?
Impressive - thank you.
Hi. Thanks for the video! Would it be possible for me to obtain the One Note you are using? I think it would really help my students!
man, you are good at teaching things. Please don't stop!
What software do you use for the whiteboard and simulator? Looks awesome
Using iOS droneblocks, how do I fly backward and record? Seems droneblocks has two sections, a DJI blocks and Tello blocks. Tello will record and fly forward but not backward. DJI will fly backward but not record.
I asked on a previous video, but where/how can I obtain the Flight Simulator? Thanks!
he animated it himself
Hiya. I'll be releasing the video showing you how to build your own in Scratch soon :)
Very informative. Thank you. Where can obtain the “Drone Simulator”?
Can we récord video in DroneBlocks with tello????
