Compression Ear Training Practice session | Compressed vs. Uncompressed Sound part 2
This is second video on compression ear practice session. in previous session we learned to hear compression based on ratio 4:1 in this video we will do it 2:1. it is slightly harder to hear 2:1 than 4:1 coz compression is more subtle than 4:1 . so lets jump in and achieve golden ears for sound engineering.

Guess the boosted frequency. listen the plain sound then hear the boosted frequency then simply guess the frequency and checkthe answer. the video is about Ear training for sound engineers frequency training EQ (equlizer) frequency practice music production

The frequncy training on the go, listen to the audio and try to find out the boosted frequency. Part 2 is here : th-cam.com/video/gidLxgiTylM/w-d-xo.html
would love to see more videos helps a lot
I think whats throwing me off is that the kick and bass tones seems to resonate more at 2000 to 6000 htz thane it does at 200. At 400 htz your kick is non existent. I may be a newbie but I am a musician. Why is this?
Thank you so much for your work
welcome . thank you :)
Another great one. Thanks!
welcome :)
This is great. Thanks a lot!
Can I use your sound music for short videos? Or back sounds?
Please make a part 2 im training my ears for mixing my beats this is very very helpful. More than you know. ive already studied the frequency ones you did and it opened up my hearing world.
Sure will upload more videos this week. Thank you 👍
Part 2 has been uploaded. That is same but with 2:1 ratio which is slighly harder than 4:1 . we gonna move step by step to achieve Iron ears
@@EarGuru101 Awesome thx bro
you should stick to ISO frequencies
100 is nearly indistinguishable
It’s incredible how sounds around 3khz hurt ears even at low volumes. Ears are most sensitive there and you can easily distinguish it.
I did way better than expected just visualise sweeping across your preferred eq arrive at the next frequency in your mind eye✌️
Thank you very much for this! How many dB is your boost sir??
Thank you. Please refer to Part 2 mentioned in description. thats more detailed.
This was fun. Super helpful too.
thanks
nice training man! thanks so much
thank you :)
Great thx. I kinda felt it and pinpointed graphic eq's freqs nicely, but then wht's the difference between, say, 14khz and 16khz? And it could be +-10 db. Measurements differ, have to have yr own ears. Thank you
thanks, plz check part 2 its more detailed
This music in my nightmares )
Can you make another one with drums and bass as well <3
hi, there is one with the drums , have you tried th-cam.com/video/AVq2l5hAIE8/w-d-xo.html
Need a VIDEGAME
There's a part 2! 💛
It is going low can make sound in cave .
Wow,sound quite with any frequency .
Show, thanks!
Late is Better than Never! Thank You Mate!
Mega useful video
thanks bro!
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Fantastic, thanks again!
Fun....thanks, learned quite a bit....a pure vocal version of this would be super informative
It is reccomeneded to use headphones or monitors if you are unable to hear differences, especially for frequency under 100hz. enjoye and please subscribe.
I can tell the range but exactly got the right number only a few times.
Thank you ✨💜
Thanks DevNav !
Where the frequency of that voice over..? Very boomy 😂😂
Who else mistaken this as emotional intelligence (EQ) training?
Thank you very much!
Oh this is dope!!! 🔥
How many db did u boost and what's d width
sorry , I lost that information and trying to find the project , but q wast pretty narrow and about 10 db boost i guess, this was a private video for myself on the go, but recently made it public so people can use it, but in next video i will make it more detailed
@@EarGuru101 alryt mate
Nice work mate. U got my subscription. When will you be dropping part 2?
i guess its the part 2 that never came out. but thanks for this devnav
@@grgwashnton23 sorry it came out late
Challenging, but enjoyable. Can I recommend you start with brief intro (with db boost amount, q width, etc) and a sample of the balanced mix before the guessing game begins? Also is the free version of soundgym adequate enough to produce at least some improvement in one's hearing, or is it really just made to entice someone to copping the pro version?
sure bro, i will definately take ur suggetion and improve future videos. and sound gym is cool too. you play games and your ears get better. i think free version is fine too, but you can also train urself in ur daw, just create diffeerent presets for eqs and play with them , plus when you practice in daw it also improves ur mixing skills.
@@EarGuru101 Create different eq presets in your DAW and play with them. 🤔 Got any video recommendations that show how that works?
@@mgmthegrand just upload a song and sweep across with the EQ 8
By how many dB did you boost the sound?
And how wide ?
This cool, i'd recommend you have some sort of instructions at the start though
I never stop watching your training
Ouch! That was hertzful. No pain, no gain.
Was that rough for you too? I thought I was at least intermediary with my frequency detection. This exercise kicked my a$$!🙈🤣
my ears bleeding boiii
How to practice this to recognize frequency
