“If any teaching prevents the end value that man can be deified, then the teaching is wrong.” What a brilliant insight and simple test!
This had the best explanation of the "Pro-Choice" abortion issue that I have ever heard. Thank you!
Are public services conducted here?
Such a beautiful church I would love to go there ☦️
That is very sad to hear about Mount Athos!
Thank you for explaining in such detail that Ecumenism is about far more than the Calendar change.
"The bread represents the body and the leaven represents the soul." I never knew this before.
I am very relieved to learn that the Toll House theory is a false Gnostic teaching. I read the huge tome published by St. Anthony's and found it pretty convincing. However, after your explanation, I can see that they used many statements from the holy Fathers to falsely support that idea. Wow... Thank you immensely!
That was the best explanation I have ever heard about why we should not pray for the non-Orthodox during the Prokomedi or Divine Liturgy.
Wonderful explanation! 🙏💗
"Whenever God appears in the Old Testament, it is God the Son, not God the Father." I did not know this. "The Angels that Abraham gave hospitality to was not the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but rather Christ and two angels." I never heard this before either. Thank you, Vladyka.
But then I imagine how on the judgment day I am around people and they see me being saved and say: "You were able to tell us the truth but you didn't" or "You knew the truth and did not tell us"

There is only one HOLY FATHER and His name is Jesus Christ, not john! John did not die on a cross for your sins and he cannot pray for you! The word of God says Jesus is our intercessor! Catholics are deceived by satan! You must repent of your unbelief and believe upon the one whom the Father has sent wich is Jesus Christ! Also mary cannot pray for you nor can she save you, she was a sinner just like the rest of us and was used by God for the virgin birth because of her faith in God! Catholism is a false religion leading many to the lake of fire along with satan!! Also your good works will not get you into heaven because you do not have any! Our own righteousness is like filthy rags in the sight of God! Read John 14;6!
I guess you will have to tell Saint Paul that he was dead wrong when he told Christians in Corinth “for though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel”? (1 Cor. 4:15). Protestantism cannot even pass the test of the Scriptures whose sole authority it falsely claims to defend. Orthodox Christianity, on the other hand, possesses the fulness of teachings “which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.” (2 Thess. 2:15) I would kindly ask you to please keep your opinions to yourself. This is not a debate forum, but my personal channel where I share resources with fellow Orthodox Christians of our Church. If you want to learn our Faith, you can ask. But if you want to teach yours or debate, please do it somewhere else.
Christ is Risen!!! Amen!

well we've already seen what happens with allowing marxist shit in the west. so fuck that
Christ is Risen!!!
Because Apostle Paul said No.
I miss the days when such questions didn't need to be asked.
Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. I don't think questioning dogma & canons of our church should be discouraged. An educated Orthodox believer who understand the reasons behind all the customs is better than a blind follower. Its authoritarian & dictators who hate questioning.
@@miki_9034I agree. It is okay to have questions about why The Church has certain beliefs, it is not okay to question The Church's authority to deem these beliefs to be dogmatic.
I do too. But probably the Holy Fathers of the Council of Nicaea also missed the days when they didn’t have to explain to anyone the clear Apostolic teaching that the Father and the Son are one. But they had to assemble in a Council and explain it in detail nonetheless. And so it is with any other teaching of the Church that gets challenged in any given age.
What a good answer, thank you 🙏
Amen
This lesson was very insightful and heavensent. It came at the perfect time, as I am in distress. My house is recently being visited by Mormon Missionaries multiple times a week. I don't have enough knowledge on Orthodoxy despite growing up around it. The missionaries are very convincing in their explanations, and though I understand that they are wrong, I don't have the words to explain why, nor the proper explanation of what the right teachings are in Orthodoxy. I worry about my friends who are with me that are being swayed towards Mormonism. Not because the missionaries are bad people (they are very kind, and believe what they 'teach' us), but because several parts of their teachings undermine God, make His word unreliable, and describes Satan as 'not technically wrong'. I notice that my friends (non-religious at the moment) are attracted to lessened risk and responsibility in this belief. And also have a friendship with the missionaries which is beautiful, but I haven't been able to express my hesitency with their teachings for these two reasons. I am trying to come back to Orthodoxy and trying to learn more. And although I am in no position to teach anyone about my faith as there is a lot I don't know, and I'm not good with words, I feel helpless and as though I am watching those I care about heading in the wrong direction. Please give me advice on what I should or should not do in my position now. I'm grateful for your aid.
I would strongly advise you not to have Mormons come and preach to you. It is not wrong to refuse to listen to erroneous doctrine. In fact, the Apostle Paul warns us to do exactly that. He says that even if an angel of light were to preach to you a different Gospel let he be anathema. Mormons by definition are preaching a different gospel that was revealed to their leader, Joseph Smith, by an “angel” Moroni. Their Book of Mormon is NOT the Gospel of our Saviour Jesus Christ. It is no different than allowing muslims to preach Islam to you. Yes, Mormons may be well behaved and have good things to say about our Saviour, but so do the Muslims. For the sake of faithfulness to Christ and His Church, refuse to engage, courteously and civilly, but firmly. Otherwise, you will be inundated by their well packaged but false teachings, and you will not have time or energy to refute and defend your Faith. Cut the relationship. Concentrate on learning your Faith and living a life of Orthodox piety instead. That is my advise.
