Sound of Music Festival Parade 2023
The Sound of Music festival has exploded in size since its modest beginnings in 1980 as a marching band parade. Operating as a not-for-profit corporation, the organization stages Canada's Largest Free Music Festival every year in June. Due to the passion, love and commitment of hundreds of volunteers, a small staff, and a roster of generous sponsors and suppliers, music takes over Downtown Burlington and the waterfront.
Music can be heard throughout the downtown core for four days straight. Spotlighting local & emerging talent, culminating in a lineup of free concerts on three stages over four days.
The parade is how it all started! See international and Canadian marching bands, whimsical floats, unique and vintage vehicles, and local performers. The Grande Festival Parade is fun for the whole family.
