Join us on an exhilarating journey from Jayanti to the breathtaking Choto Mahakal and Baro Mahakal caves! Starting from Jayanti homestay at 5:30 am, we trekked 4.5 km to Choto Mahakal, crossing the scenic Jayanti river twice. The natural beauty and adventure were unmatched as we reached Choto Mahakal around 7:00 am and worshipped at the cave. The journey from Choto Mahakal to Baro Mahakal in Bhutan was even more awe-inspiring, with mesmerizing landscapes and a thrilling path that included several small bridges and steep steps.
We enjoyed delicious veg momos and tea at a riverside stall before tackling the challenging trek to Baro Mahakal. This part of the trek is quite stiff and not recommended for elderly people due to the tough last few meters of straight steps. After our adventure, we returned to Jayanti and had a delightful lunch at Banalata homestay.
