Mystic Pizza
Source:

Mystic Pizza might seem like a heartfelt tale about friendship, love, and self-discovery in a small Connecticut town-but let’s be real. It’s basically a 104-minute pizza commercial in disguise. If you don’t find yourself drooling over cheesy slices by the end, we’re seriously impressed by your willpower. Also, young Vincent D’Onofrio? Yeah, he’s a snack too. Join us as we break down this iconic coming-of-age film and try to resist ordering pizza mid-episode.

Shag!
มุมมอง 66หลายเดือนก่อน
Source: www.podbean.com/eau/pb-x5b9j-173e80c It's the most fun! When the world feels absolutely bananas, sometimes you just gotta lean into movies that make you a happy even if they contain somewhat questionable material. This week we are sipping on bevos, calling each other sweet potatoes and watching 1989's Shag. Set in 1963, this movie contains some delightful teens as they venture to Myrtle...
Anna to the Infinite Power
มุมมอง 4หลายเดือนก่อน
Well guys, we are going to tell you what you already knew when you read the title of this week's episode - this is an Emily pick and it's real weird. Anna to the Infinite Power is not a heartwarming story about math (which I know is what you were hoping for), but a grumpy tale about clones and maybe an argument for nurture over nature? Yes, I said clones. Bitchy ones. Come along and watch with ...
Halloween 1978
มุมมอง 488หลายเดือนก่อน
Well, here we are, back for another week of pissing off the horror movie fans with our acerbic wit and highly delightful takes on the entire horror movie genre. That's a joke. Dudes hate us and honestly, we are okay with it. That's why this week, we've waded all the way into the pool of bloody goo and are watching 1978's Halloween. Yes, the OG. Oh and we did it at night... take that, fellas. Wh...
Monster Squad
มุมมอง 69หลายเดือนก่อน
Let's pretend I need to write a whole paragraph about this movie to help you remember the exceptional plot and delightful storyline, however, we all know that the only thing I need to write about 1987's The Monster Squad is "wolfman's got nards.". Guys, it's all you remember for a reason. Well, unless you are Emily. She remembers how hot she thought (thinks?) Dracula was (is?). Anyway, come lis...
The Witches

And that's why you always leave a note... Listen Roald Dahl, we appreciate your valiant attempts to keep kids safe by teaching them a lesson, but did you have to do it with so much terror, scalp itch and villainization of chubby kids? I'll wait... Guys, this week, we watched 1990's The Witches and while Angelica Huston is an icon who should be worshipped until end times, this film was just too ...
Something Wicked This Way Comes
มุมมอง 2382 หลายเดือนก่อน
Spooky season is upon us and this year, guys - we. are. ready. I mean, sorta. Week one features another wildly weird pick straight from the tortured youth of Emily's living room - a 1983 kids movie (?) that might be about sin? Or maybe friendship? Or probably something else entirely that we completely missed because honestly this movie was a lot. And by a lot, I mean I don't really remember wha...
The Money Pit
มุมมอง 2022 หลายเดือนก่อน
Tom Hanks laughing manically into the giant hole in the floor where his bathtub once stood is hands down one of the top scenes in any movie, any where, of all time. I will fight you if you think otherwise. Get excited, because this week, we are watching the 1986 film about poor decision making, things that are too good to be true, and of course, adultery. It's The Money Pit!! Tom Hanks and Shel...
The Outsiders

Source: www.podbean.com/eau/pb-t3y8t-16dad46 Don’t just love it when mandatory high school reading becomes a movie? I mean, pros and cons, right? Either way, Emily gave us an assignment this week and gosh darn it did we earn a solid B watching and discussing S.E. (The S stands for seriously, I’m a lady) Hinton’s The Outsiders. It became a film in 1983 and features pretty much all of your favori...

I lived in Zapata, Mexico for about 19 years. I took my Eddie c d.s with me. I used to play them for my neighbors. I got several of my friends(Mexico) and when I left, I left behind Eddie fans.
HBO Max carries this movie from time to time
As a Native, the logo wasn't and isn't offensive to many of us.
Both movies were great. Awesome music. Had the sound track tape back in the day.
I still have the cassette!
Preppy kids dont die but grunge does
If annie isn’t good, I’m going to be so ticked
We are here to tell you that not only is it good…it’s pretty great.
I look at the farmer and I'm thinking Randy Marsh.
Spot on!!
wow I thought this was a real reaction not a podcast
Surprise!!
Loved the movie and songs just sad how the sax player died but you have to hope he lived 😊
I first watched this at a young age around 5 or 6, I was so scared but liked it at the same time. Just watched it years later and now I realize how good it is and want to watch it again.
Oh lord just leave it alone for f sake
The book only has the carousel and the mirror maze as hazards, it doesn’t really mention the Ferris wheel as one, it really just says that it’s a normal ride. Great book though.
Definitely one of my favorites as a kid!
I cant believe my parents let me watch this as a kid. Nightmare Fuel.
Seriously.
My all-time favorite movie
Makes sense, James always gave off that old money broker kinda vibe
I’ll never forget watching the movie Big and the joy I felt looking at the scene where Hanks (as a young boy in a man’s body) took a woman from a work party home to his apartment and when he opened the door and hit the light switch this song kicked on and you saw his apartment full of giant toys a bunk bed and a Pepsi machine. All I could think was “Damn! That song is awesome!” I never got my apartment to look like that but I did have my tape deck set up to play that song when I went in my bedroom.❤
Good episode & movie from 1982!
1989 movie?
Yup!

If I ever had a girlfriend and this started happening to her, I would do everything I could to help her feel safe and loved. I'd probably also enjoy the concept of us supporting each other in a desperate struggle for survival if we both started shrinking.
And then the neighbor comes over snd finds you both and takes you to his house 🤭
@@pitdog913 Oh you meant the latter scenario I described. Also, just out of curiosity: what in the name of Gösh could have given him a good reason to do that to us? Unless he was taking us to his house to help us, but if he starting threatening my hypothetical girlfriend (or if he just gave her bad vibes) I would grab her hand, and we'd run for the hills. PS: I imagine my imaginary girlfriend being pretty supportive of me in fantasies like this as well. I don't just think of her as some damsel in distress when she gets in trouble (such as a spiderweb), especially since I also get into some pretty bad situations in the exact same fantasies. Basically I want a relationship where I can help my girlfriend when she's going through tough times, and she is there for me when I'm going through tough times.
Great movie, I remember this movie. The nerd and the most popular girl in school.
:)
Omg I loved these Eddie and the cruisers sage I saw when I was in my early teens in thearly 90s lmao ❤
Yes me too I love them
Would you be interested in coming on my radio talk show and talk about this movie and your You Tube Channel?

May she rest in peace
I saw this movie when I was seven or eight, and remember it being surprisingly creepy. The years passed and every now and then I'd have a brief memory of some aspect of it, but genuinely thought it was a fever dream I had long ago. So one day I finally went to google and typed in something like "magic paintbrushes hair ghosts movie" and finally found the name (I felt so...validated?). Bought it almost immediately, was such a trip to watch again. What's funny is the few people I've met who have seen this movie often say the same; that they thought it was a dream they had as a kid.
Omg it's like you are describing what got me here
Yooooo I'm 36 and remembered it outta nowhere. Been looking for it for awhile now. I thought it had to do with witches or something. Lmao I thought it was an "Are scared of the dark" episode lol but realized we were poor when I was little. So No cable for Nickelodeon... This is crazy 😂 I remember the paint brushes 😂 I remembered it used to creep me out for some reason. I never wanted to be bald. Lmao
My mom knew them all personally . She went to all their shows with them . She even has her name on their album .She loved them ! RI P MAMA ❤
That’s so amazing! Your mom sounds like she was very cool. 😊
Its a chimp not a monkey you silly girl
And millions of audience members sat and laughed at him for two hours while his slowly decaying corpse gets dragged around Miami
Pretty gross if you ask us.
I come from the future of 2024 to say this has become reality in Brazil.
We don’t know what this means but we are scared of the future.
The music artist are called john cafferty and the beaver brown band in real life

roberta flack for the theme 👌🏼 life is such a sweet insanity.. the more you learn the less you know..
