The Original COSI (Center of Science and Industry) Columbus 1999
มุมมอง 31K10 ปีที่แล้ว
A clip from a home movie of my wife and I traveling cross country in 1999. This is the original downtown location of COSI, with a very quick visit to the original Wendy's across the street. All your old favorites are here such as the Time Tunnel, the coal mine, the Time Train, the Dreamland theater, the Presidents and so on.
Kahiki Restaurant, Columbus Ohio 1999

A clip from a home movie my wife and I made of a cross country trip in 1999. This is from a visit to the Columbus area where we both lived as kids. Since the wonderful Kahiki is now gone and there doesn't really seem to be any footage of it around, I thought some of you might enjoy seeing it.
The Tiltons see the last shuttle launch

Shuttle Atlantis, STS-135, from 8 July 2011 as viewed from the Astronaut Hall of Fame and the boosters being towed back in the next day. The girls yelling as the ship tows the boosters are the daughter and friends of the captain. The French journalist you can hear at the same time is getting excited because following the boosters were manta rays, sea turtles and dolphins.
Tarzan versus a lawyer
มุมมอง 113K13 ปีที่แล้ว
NOTE: This clip WAS in English when uploaded, something on youtube's end apparently re-processed it recently and altered it permanently. I'll re-upload it some day. A clip from Tarzan's New York Adventure (1942) available in the WB's Tarzan Collection. A weaselly lawyer learns what happens when you imply that Tarzan is a liar.

Liam, Shawn, my father and I go for a flight out of Stillwater MN during a vacation trip to my sister's, Summer 2009. Liam ended up piloting for more than 20 minutes.
having gone there as a kid about 30yrs ago and also a month ago with my kids, i can say that it's still a great kids interactive museum. they probably have transported the majority of the exhibits or recreated in some way. it will still never be the same, but it's a very fun place to visit
It's so crap these days compared to back then
sad, i volunteered their from 1993 to 1994
This was such a great place atmosphere was wonderful. Food was wonderful. Good times.
Gracias por visitarnos....
In 1979 I was a student at Fort Hayes, and I was randomly selected to help with a project being created by OSU students. I had to play the part of a purse snatcher and was filmed in a classroom at Fort Hayes set up to look like a department store. The film was about observation and paying attention to your surroundings. That video was part of an exhibit at COSI and it was in place for more than 25 years. I'm sure it's long gone by now, but I always hoped that someone might have inadvertantly shot video at COSI and it would end up here. Thanks for the memory.
RD
si y ya es de nosotros tan bien jjjjjjj
1980's & 90's COSI was my "happiest place on earth"

Does anybody know what the admission ticket cost was in the 90's? It's insane today...
They don't make 'em like they used to
😢I swear… These are happy tears…
Oui, Tarzan. Touche'.
Lies
I have fond memories of the original COSI. It was roughly a 3 hour drive from where I lived, but drove there several times every summer starting when I was 16.
What a nostalgia hit! Thanks for sharing. The Street of Yesteryear, the Time Tunnel, all the American Presidents, Focault's Pendulum with the little pegs getting knocked over... So great.
Old cost million times better then new one
Absolutely criminal that it was torn down. An absolute shame for all involved.
Thanks for vdo 0:52
I miss the old days been here since 1979 0:41
Came here for the COSI content and was thrown for a loop by the OG Wendy's!! I ate there many times as a kid. What nostalgia.
Je ne parle pas Francais.
A pleasant surprise, seeing this video. Reminds me of many exhibits (and gadgets within) we maintained, as part of the COSI Team ~ '85-'95
Really cool to get a glimpse of the past tiki temple
I used to go to Kahiki back in the day whenever I was in Columbus on Business. It was truly a one of a kind special place. Thanks for posting.
OERTSCK
- I have a stolen fork with Kahiki's logo on the handle.

''It's actually quite entertaining in ''La Francaise''
tarzan did not even speak french
If only Tarzan could devise himself an AR-15 with lots of ammo..
Grew up watching these movies when they were first released at the base theaters when I was a kid.
Bruh this is so cool. New one sucks
You nailed it. COSI And the 1st wendys. I wa there 78 and 79 .man what memories
Why did they build a new COSI?
2:40 The gravity cycle with the realistic police siren was a staple of The Old COSI visitor. :-)
So cool! Thanks for sharing!
Are you crazy I speak English
Core memory unlocked!!! Been 25 years since I’ve stepped inside that amazing place. The only thing close to that place is The “Squidward’s Tiki Land” episode on SpongeBob. Lol! Loved this place so much! The dry ice drink was so flippin awesome. Just showed my daughter this video and turned into a little kid again while watching.
sacre' bleu' !!!
In the jungle, that was known as "Objection your honour".
Tarzan Brasil. É o Bolsonaro. ❤️🙆. Lula é a xiita.
I never liked the new building as much as the old one. The Streets of Yesteryear was my favorite attraction. I was so sad they didn’t redo that. The talking car, the movie theater and all the little shops. I loved the faux cobblestone streets. Great video!
They did it in a way..but it just doesn't carry the same feel
next up: TARZAN vs. TRUMP🤣🤣
I didn’t know Tarzan spoke French….😬
Should state it was in French!
Little did the lawyers know, Tarzan was an undercover agent for ICE and deported their asses.
