You were the only review on this wine, thanks for the info. I just got into wine myself and finding I love Cabernet Sauvignon. I think with this grape being a late finisher, California is able to do it justice. Doesn’t seem like vintage is near as important as Bordeaux for that reason. For this wine I can definitely taste the cherry and plum, but I also got some notes of oak and strawberry. I’d say in order of strongest to weakest it’s cherry, oak, currant, plum, then strawberry. Maybe just a tad bit of chocolate. Tannins seem pretty soft, so it’s very approachable I think. I’m finding northern cali cab sav to be my favorites, like menocino and up. I think there’s something to be said about going more north to get closer to Bordeaux’s latitude. For reference Mendocino is 39, Bordeaux is 44, and Eugene Oregon is 44. That’s my rant lol. Loved the video, glad someone reviewed this bottle. I wonder if the extra year change the cacao notes

Glad I found you. My wife and I enjoyed last night with our dinner. A little before with a simple salad and then w Fish baked with some rice and zucchini. I looked back and saw I did pay about 27 bucks. Well worth it! I didn’t get the effervescent quality.. though it poured somewhat green and then once in glass more greyish like a PG. regardless.. super lively and everything you said!

The scent of this had notes of vanilla to me and the flavor was so smooth and bright and paired so well with our spicy food!

Thanks for posting this. I've found little on this merlot from Rose & Son. It would help if you posted yourself pouring the wine and seeing it in the glass as you experience it. It would lend credibility.
