What happened to the collection?

@kickinitwithcarter2398 well I grew up in foster homes but my foster mom was very supportive of collecting because I was passionate about it and very organized and respected my collection and this was in the late 80's. But as she got more kids, they would steal them. Left foster care early because I just got tired of not being treated unfair so I became a delinquent until I turned 18. Still had my collection as I kept everything in a huge foot locker and would take it every where I moved around to, "amazes me til this day how I kept up with it because it was heavy. A few hits here and there as I moved around but was able to hold on to the bulk of the collection and continue building on it when possible. The biggest hit came in 2001 when I moved in with my baby Mom's tryna play family man. Not only did she f*ck the neighbor and make me pay childsupport for a kid that ended up not being mine, when she was done with me and wanted me out, she threw all my possessions in the streets and told the whole neighborhood they could have anything they wanted of mine, including my card collection, and they took it. Luckily I was able to scare some of the people in the neighborhood to get some of my stuff back, but I didn't get everything. Didn't get my computer and other valuables back or my Card binder with all my Top Players and inserts cards. Jordan rookies and etc.... eventually in 2005 I had to have a surgery that required me to be off work for 4 months and I need cash so I sold the rest of the collection on ebay for pennies. Didnt care no more at the point because the best of my stuff was already in the wind. Some one in Canada bought the remaining cards which was mostly football and baseball at this point. At its peak, my collection contained over 40,000 sports cards maybe more and other memorabilia. That's the Story 😞

Man I’m so sorry. My family fostered kids and it was very hard. I can only imagine what you went through. Once again I’m so sorry.

@@carterbreaks That kid's the true loser then, lol. Seriously, spending 35 bucks on this many cards vs. buying ONE blaster box at Target that contains 30 total cards. You have more of a chance of getting something stellar doing what you're doing, just based on human error alone. The odds are stacked so far against you in the retail sector I'd take 35 bucks of goodwill cards over any blaster in any store. Good on ya mate.
