Thanks, mate - I am going to try my own!
This is such a niche thing I can't believe I found it
Is there something bit slower and easier to follow on making the template?
Puppets usually creep me the f out, but this one is adorable AF and prob the only one iv ever seen that doesn't freak me out. 😊 (Btw, I have no clue how I got to this channel but I'm glad I did)
I think your puppet should have Ragnar braids but that's just me 😁
it would be an interesting look. though i'd have to wear a wig for it to work.
I hate to be the guy who points out the obvious, but I'm not the first man to complain about holes being too big.
we did various size holes. 8mm and 10mm the 8mm worked the best for sound. the actual pipes at York. have different size holes while tapper towards the bottom. though i was not a aware of this at the time i made my pipes.
is you want)You did a good job, I like it. Suggest a good way t
Were you at this years event?
yes but i was part of the displays so spent more time talking to the public, I didn't get any filming done. it was great to see it from the otherside.
I’ll be there! Bringing a friend from Sweden with me, too!
it was so good, we had a blast, even got ot help out with traffic control
Just got back home after staying in sheringham for a long weekend, the parade was rubbish nothing compared to the 2019 festival, shame they didn't do the reanactments on the beach instead they moved it all to Beeston common,,, shame ,,,the boat burn was alright
Using Inches for simplicity is something I have not heard before. There might be 13/184 chance this it true. ;) But jokes aside, great tutorial, thank you very much!
to many jokes over Imperial Roman Measurements and Metric Period. but we really should try and put both in the tutorials. side from that glad you enjoyed.
Finally, TH-cam suggests something good. Thanks for the tutorial :)
you're are welcome. we enjoyed learning this form of braiding.
That was great!
Thanks, we had fun making that one.
An in depth conversation with Paul Binns deserves far more views. There is scarcely a thing on the internet concerning Paul in a video. This deserves far more views. He's one of the most respected smiths in England. Well done!
It was a wonderful day, we talked for several hours. on and off camera. he's an excellent sword maker and such a nice gent.
Oh yeah… ob:First!
happy day in my life when I bought one of his swords.
Fantastic! Thank you for coming Einar and Gary - great to see you both and to hear my very Norfolk accent :)
it was fun to see you again.
Watching the camera move from Alex's camp to Drakkr's was like watching TH-cam's video quality dropping from 1080p to 144p
see what you mean. do not know what went wrong there. the raw footage is fine and the video I uploaded is clear but the actual youtube footage is a bit off. it was all shot on the same unit. most puzzling.
Thor
Vikings!
One year for you, 3 months for me
Congratulations keep up the great work. Your puppetry rules 😃
Thank you!! 😁
I whittled my 1st needle out of a small branch my black birch tree dropped & sealed it with some jojoba oil (it soaks in and works like a non-sticky, slightly hardening wax) to keep the wood moisturized and keep it from cracking or splintering. Really like your video... left you a thumbs up and subscribed :)
we will give the oil a go, thank you.
Lovely to see a video of our living history set ups. :) Really proud of everyone for putting on such a great weekend, especially after almost 2 years off!
such nice tidy living history with excellent information to the public. wonderful to see. i would have had a lot more footage, but couldn't get close enough to some areas because of the amount of public being entertain. supper effort from all the groups.
very simple, easyto follow
Brilliant! Great instructions thank you Puppet Vikings :D
Great to see all the groups there 😁 is that the same Thor Ewing who wrote the Viking clothing book? 😎😃
he was talking about a clothing book he was working on. we chatted for a bit. including talking about Bikra and how hard it is to actually see the finds for research purposes. nice chap
@@PuppetVikings awesomeness 😍🙏❤️
Nice vid! I'm surprised we're not using such a simple, yet useful, design still
thank you. its odd but the standard paper shopping bags offered by some supermarkets uses the shape. now if you made them from cloth and something none plastic for the handle. laminated bamboo is a popular substitute these days you'd have a bag that was reusable and environmentally friendly. but if i made my own i'd use recycled timber for the handles.
Thanks. I think I’ll give it a go. Love the idea of using fruit wood.
That was tasty 👌
And the bread and honey butter just added to the meal.
Actuallly the original finding was folded at the face side and later cut open in front and sewed in the back. My guess i a misstake from the tailor, tho front and back square have different size. So insted of remake 4 seems, just sew the back and cut the front.
thanks. was not aware of the cut at the front but does explain a few of the authentic builds having a sew back and tops. i thought they made them from two oblongs of cloth. the yellow one in the vid has different size front and back. i should have added that as as comment. but do appreciate the info and comments. its nice for those wanting to do a historical accurate version to have all the info.
awesome!
Thank you
do like the training video's on your channel. lots to watch.
I like the one about the dwarves making gifts for the gods and Loki's gamble.
Nice!
Cool.
Love the video! Lovely to meet you both today. Tx
Great demo and superb video effects - loving it! :D Well done
thank you, it was fun to play with different effects as we learn to do more with our software. though poor brother Cedric is still in recovery.
Nice video! I enjoyed the new tech and pov camera angles
thanks. we enjoyed your fairy finding animations which are way beyond what we can do.
@@PuppetVikings You'd be surprised... :D
That viking puppet look very good
thanks
Would you want to go to Valhalla?

OMG This is Fantastic!! Thank you for including pictures of the different finds!
Thanks. Are you thinking of making your own?
Please let us know if there is a recipe you would like to see Troll try
If you've watched all of our hat videos, tell us which you like the most. Have you made any?
I really like how the side ear coverings just goes over the head in a one-er. Nice!
Glad you like it!
This is brilliant! :D love the ending <3
Thank you! 😄
Vikings did land on Mars though its the name of two American probe units that landed July 20th 1976 and August 7th 1976.
