Are they good for salt water
I wanted to like it due to the size but I only have bad things to say about it. First, the bottom is not waterproof, just fabric for whatever reason. It absorbs the water if the ground is wet. Not only does it make the bag heavier, but it leaves a funny smell; it takes forever to dry as well. The strap they give you breaks if it exceeds 5 pounds. The side pockets aren't ykk, so they'll last for a year at most. The most dumbest design for me was the holes on both tips of the bag. They're there for supposedly draining the water, but if you have to tip the bag nonetheless to drain, whats the point of the holes... It only helps melt the ice faster because you literally have holes in your bag. Wish I could return but its too late...
Just took mine out on my kayak for the first time yesterday. I have the paddlesports transducer arm. The depth reading was inaccurate. Reading deeper than it should. I played with the settings but couldn't get it dialed in. Any advice for getting the correct readings for depth? Thanks!
Nothing specific. If I remember correctly, there is a transducer setting to account for top of water vs transducer depth. I think the manual has some troubleshooting info and their website should have stuff too. How far off was your depth reading?
@@JSOutdoorsLLC I had it in demo mode! 🤣
@@kennymorris862 ah haha. Hopefully it’s working better now.
👍
Recommendation: break into another market that isn't flooded. Intermediate fire fuel. Portable, non canister, enough to cook a trail meal or use for emergency heat. Plenty of places don't have fuel or won't allow regular open fires.
I appreciate the feedback @ManlinTheWoods76 It was an exercise for me to see if I could make them and I have them in select physical locations locally. I am interested in your idea though.
Is that the Train Station?
I suppose depending on your situation.
Good stuff. Subscribe for a boost.
Cool to watch, feels almost like I’m there.
So you can’t have it in direct sun? Makes no sense as it’s on a boat or kayak, so sore it in 120 degrees, if in the sun it can get that hot.
Great job. I will be purchasing one thanks to your review
On the slide moving forward. I had the same result. Expecting as the magazine is full the properties will be different.
@ericmadison6983 I have had it down to 3-5 rounds and it will still do it. I got it back from warranty and it got worse. I was able to get the Glock to do the same thing. However, it was about 5 times the amount of force compared to the Sig.
Best review of this product. I love my X10. Improved my pistol shooting in 2 weeks. Im hitting bullseyes now from 10 yds. Not every time of course, but it’s in there.
@jonathancamps9853 Seeing real results is hard to argue with. Without a doubt one of the best things serious shooters can use. Currently, I’m working on quick holster draws with smooth trigger pull during live fire. I’ll pull and hit target consistently at 10 yards and get between 65-90 score. I’m finding that I do slap the trigger a little bit and there are some other movements I’m doing unconsciously. I’m slowing back down and focusing on good trigger pull to further excel my shot placement (even though I’m on target during this every time). There is so much for people to learn about themselves, no matter their skill level.
I got a great deal on the non comped version. $663 shipped with an Sig Romeo Elite and Sig Night sights that cowitness. I like it much better than my G43X MOS. I’ll probably sell the Glock and roll with it and my VP9sk as my edc pistols
@democratsPartyofSatan I always tell people if they are able to try a pistol before buying it. Lots of local ranges have rentals of popular firearms where you can see if the platform is what you're looking for. We are all not created equal and ultimately is is up to the shooter to figure out what works best for them.
Great catch!
Thank you
Just got a sweet deal on a non comp version! Going to the range and put about 200 rounds through it this weekend. Got the gun, Sig Romeo Elite, and Suppressor height Sig night sights for $663 shipped Wear a wife beater bro lol
@DemocratsPartyofSatan That is a great deal on the pistol! I like mine and its super comfortable to shoot. I'm not big on how easy the slide stop trips when inserting magazines or the trigger, but it is a pretty sweet shooter.
That’s beautiful thank u for u post. I thought was Alabama at 1st. But no your out west.
If that’s how Alabama looks I’m gonna have to take a trip. @travisjackson2354
I’ve had mine for 6 years now and it still looks new, only thing I do different than you is I hang mine straight down from the buckle m, I’m gifting mine to my grown son, let him see if he can wear it out 😂
@garydrichard5559 I don't think there is anything you can do to this thing to kill it. I would like to do a torture test but I don't want to end up breaking it. maybe if Magpul sends me one I'll to a torture test.
I put the talon rubber grips the peel and stick on on my Sigg 365 comp check them out I think you’ll like it. I have the same issue you do.
I’ll check them out. I looked through their entire manual and found nothing about the slide lock failure being a design feature. Also having Sig agree to warranty evaluation, knowing this is not a design feature for this pistol. I’d suggest getting warranty started on your pistol. The more people who hold them accountable, the quicker they are forced to realize their customers are not willing to accept sub par performance. This will also force the company to design a better product and will benefit them and their customers in the long run.
Standard on cz pistol. When loading it will automatically rack a round.
Is this feature on the CZ consistent? I don’t own one. For Sig, Section 3.5 of the P365 manual shows it is not standard for this firearm. The owners manual has no reference to this being a designed feature and the company is having me send the pistol back for warranty repair.
Mine has ran great so far.....i had 1 stove pipe in the first 100 rounds and Zero problems afterwards . The weapon is fantastic to shoot & very accurate. I have not put it in a holster yet. The iron sights are Great I'm a fan of them no need for a Red-Dot on the Sig Sauer p365 xmacro comp in my opinion
Have you seen anything regarding your slide stop failing like I talked about in the video or does yours operate correctly?
@@JSOutdoorsLLC it operates correctly so far 100 rounds through it
I have the Sig 365 tacops. I too was disappointed they do not provide an owners manual.
It’s the little things in life.
Wow. A couple of channels had this gun fire unintentionally. What is going on?
That’s concerning. Can you tag the channels you saw this on? I would like to watch some videos on what they are experiencing. I haven’t had anything where a round was fired without me wanting it to be. Only the slide issue. Thanks for sharing.
The 365 has not had any unintended discharges. It's another Sig un that has issues.
You're referring to a fairly known common feature as 'auto forward' when reloading a mag with enough force to send the slide into battery. Many makes and models of semi automatic pistols do this. My CZs and my Sig P365XLs do it with regularity but I don't depend on it happening. Besides I've never seen video evidence of anybody needing or doing a reload in a self-defense situation with a handgun? Except overzealous cops.
From what Sig told me this isn’t a design feature. This is a failure and the reason why they are having me send the pistol in for warranty repair. There are lots of reasons to reload in a self defense application. Not considering reloading because you didn’t see it in a video before will be a disadvantage in the long run. But who knows, maybe it’s my background in law enforcement forcing me to want to reload.
Super helpful. Thank you.
Super comfortable and once it gets back from warranty I hope it’s fixed as I plan to use it for a while.
I wouldn’t mind that if it’s an intended function that also happens constantly. But, to your point, a Sig should operate flawlessly as designed, regardless. I ordered a non comped version that hasn’t come in yet but now I’m curious if it will be a common quirk with this platform. I’ll let you know once I get it to the range. Thanks for posting this.
I’d be curious if it still auto slams forward with a half loaded mag. Not that you should have to do that. I’d just be curious if it’s because that spring is under so much tension.
Basically anything with about 3 or more rounds is what I’ve found. Like I said in the video, I really like this pistol. Is super nice to shoot. I’m also still carrying it daily and haven’t wanted to send it back yet because I like it as my EDC. I think I’m gonna send it back this week though so we can all see what Sig does for me. I’ll be posting a follow up video once I get it back and test it a little more.
@@JSOutdoorsLLC I told you I would let you know when I had a chance to test mine. I did get it about 3 weeks ago, and it does the same thing. With a full or even half full mag, it slams shut automatically. Mine ran flawlessly first couple range trips, but then I had two failures to eject at about the 250 round mark. I’m 90% sure it was the cheap range ammo, but I’m still a little concerned. Hopefully that’s all it was. The range guy said it’s normal for it to break in and he wouldn’t stress it…. I will say, the slide spring is very stiff, even for a new gun, and it didn’t happen with the higher powered ammo. So maybe he’s right?? The extractor looks good too.
@@JAutomated I don't know about a failure being normal during break in. It could be something to do with grip. I'd suggest filming yourself shooting and watching yourself to see if you do something different during the time of the failure. I got the Sig back today from warranty and found it still does the same thing, even with one round in the magazine. This initially pissed me off then I went to the safe and started grabbing Glocks. I found the Glock will do it too, but I have to really smack the crap out of it to make it do it. I couldn't believe it. So I moved onto another Glock and it happened again. Ultimately, I can make Glocks to the same failure but only when I apply about 3 times the force that the Sig will do it at. That is probably why I have never seen this before. I'll do a follow up video after the warranty repair for everyone who is following along with the series.
@@JSOutdoorsLLC Ok. Yea, Good idea. Thanks man. I had an XDS that would occasionally automatically rack forward. Also I had a Glock 17 years ago and if memory serves, it occasionally automatically released the slide. Im almost indifferent to it either way, as long as it’s consistent and predictable. If I don’t know what to anticipate, then that would irritating. At least with the sig I expect it every time, as long as the mag is more than half full. Technically, it saves time reloading. The one critique I do have with this Sig, and it’s not a huge deal, is that I cannot release the slide with an empty mag in it. Not sure what that’s all about. It didn’t really bother me but I think it is kind of bizarre.
@@JAutomated That also bothers me. I want to do reloading drills during dry fire practice and it makes it very difficult. I may just purchase some snap caps or dummy rounds for it.
you sound like a little girl don’t make a review on anything you haven’t thoroughly checked you cried about everything and the slide going foward with the mag inserted is a plus go back to hi point
I currently been carrying a G26 G5 for the past year. Really been leaning into getting one of these
I will say it is very comfortable to shoot. I have had some issues with its overall performance and ultimately will be sending the pistol back to Sig for warranty evaluation. I will have a 500 round review coming out shortly (I have been focusing on hunting not making videos) that explains it a little more.
Glock fanboy here too. I carry X MACRO TACOPS lol
Do you have the slide issue that causes the slide to advance forward when inserting a new mag? I just got ahold of Sig and I have to send my pistol back.
I just bought the 365 Tacops that came with 4 magazine plus Sig is also sending me 3 more mags with a promotion they have now.
Nice job, well explained, thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!

1.5 - 3 hours away from a hospital if I drive myself so I gotta keep that thing on me.
@@JSOutdoorsLLC wow, I always forget how big the land in America is. Here in Europe you can't drive more than 30 minutes in any direction without hitting a Village with a hospital.
@@Survival_Shelter That would be nice. It's always interesting to see how far a drive is from one country to another in Europe and how it compares to driving between different states in the US.
I bought a similar candilever for my fish finder but is not very solid structure... Of course my transducer is heavier than yours but the plastics doesn't make me to fill very confident...
Im not sure how heavy your transducer is but this one works great.
Oh I don't know about a purple sweet smelling plug around small children and pets
All fire starting material should be stored out of reach from children and animals. Much like matches or a lighter.
I'm a bushcraft survival type guy. And i watch a lot of related vids. One interesting niche about this vid is that you give just a head nod to the stuff I love and you focus on other activities. That's very realistic and refreshing to see. There's thousands of videos on how to tie a knot or start a fire... Yawn. But this content is cool. Stick with that, I'd say! Good vid
I appreciate the feedback and am glad you enjoyed the video.
nice shirt!
😻 "promo sm"
I've had mine for years & love it!! Holds up great & like the marine boat bag styling. I use "Cooler Shock" inserts (which I also love, a lot.) And for cans, those blue hard molded can shaped things - will almost freeze a can. This bag does the job!
I have been very happy with mine as well. I'll have to get the molded ice packs.
I feel real stupid, having basically built a P320 XCompact from scratch. After all that, this is the EDC that I was ultimately trying to build.
All you have now is an excuse to buy another pistol. Your build will need a friend to keep it company.
@@JSOutdoorsLLC 😆 That's a damn good way of looking at it! Just have to get the wife to agree now! lol
@@Apoplectic_Spock admit nothing, deny everything, redirect blame.
lol
Did the exact same thing lol. Zev slide with Wilson Combat frame. Holosun 508 with a Tlr 7A. Wasn’t cheap, but it’s a bit too big for an EDC for me. Guess I will have to build out a 365 for Christmas lol.
Good review. I’ve got the Xmacro comp and it’s a nice pistol. I’ve had it for about 8 months and have a little over 1000 rounds through it. I put a Holosun 507k X2 green dot with the multi reticle system on it. The gun has been flawless with no malfunctions. I run Underwood Extreme Defenders 90 gr. +p ammo. I also installed Tactical Development flush baseplates on my magazines which gets rid of that void area at the base of the grip module when the magazine is in the pistol. I have several holsters for it, Tulster Oath IWB, Tulster Contour OWB, and Vedder Comfortuck which is the holster I use the most. Overall I’m very happy with this pistol.
I appreciate the feedback. I have a holster I ordered off crossbreed coming in the next week or so and just installed a TLR-7 for it. It’s a really comfortable pistol to shoot.

Hell yeah man keep up the good work!
I used to have a Glock 22. I got two extra mags if you're interested!
They're brand new
I respect the sales pitch. I currently have at least 6 mags in immediate reach so not looking to buy at this time. I will keep you posted if I do need to buy some more. I appreciate the offer greatly.
Nice choice of gear!
There’s so many deer walking around my neighborhood in the PNW I usually scout in a pair of sweatpants and no shirt. Sometimes with a coffee 😉
Makes sense without over load . Seen other's that over pack : don't need 3 and 4 of everything.
Exactly. Look for ways to minimize your gear and the weight you carry. You should always have a "Base Camp" you're working out of that could have extras of what you need. Could be a vehicle, a camping site, or a resupply point you need to reach. Ether way keep it simple and thank yourself later.
Fenix makes great flashlights and headlamps. I have the hm65r and it’s lowest setting can go for like 200 something hours. I use it for work and a lil night hiking. I do low voltage so a lot of attic, basement, ceiling, confined, construction areas
I have a pelican headlamp I really like. I also have various flashlights I'll throw in kits depending on situation and what is charged. Usually I focus on having AA or AAA style electronic accessories so I can easily put the electronic back in use if batteries are depleted.
@@JSOutdoorsLLC the fenix light batteries are replaceable and you can usually also use cr123s as well, but I just buy extra rechargeable Fenix batteries to keep on hand. They also have battery level indicators with four leds. My dad use to carry a Streamlight that I got him that used cr123a batteries and he would replace them about every two weeks. I got him a fenix ld30 a couple years ago for Father’s Day with an extra battery and he recharges it about every 5-6 months on one battery. And he’s always quick to pull it out of his pocket to use on everything, even when we don’t really need it lol. They’re also waterproof, dirt proof and drop proof. I’m not sponsored by them or anything I just like to spread the knowledge of these awesome lights
I'll have to check them out. Thanks for sharing.
Just because a woman has a little age on her doesn't mean you can use a gun to dissuade her. A simple "No thank you ma'am" will do.
