Suzuki GZ 250 Carburetor Needle Shim Adjustment & General Disassembly (Straight Pipe)
มุมมอง 21K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows general disassembly of the GZ250 Marauder, including seat removal, gas tank removal, side cover removal, carb removal, as well as the needle shim adjustment to improve/fix the bikes performance. I purchased the 2002 Suzuki GZ 250 with aftermarket exhaust that has no baffling as far as I can tell, so it is just a straight pipe. Unfortunately the bike didn't run very well, as it ...

Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Clutch Cable Replacement and Adjustment
มุมมอง 38K4 ปีที่แล้ว
UPDATE: Read comment from wjb2 below about moving the clutch swing arm too far back. You may accidentally mess up your clutch! For the adjustment step I mentioned having "a couple quarters width of free-play" but the manual says 2mm, which is a nickel's width, so maybe use a nickel instead. Couldn't find any videos covering Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom clutch cable replacement, so I thought I'd f...

Hey. I know you posted this a lifetime ago, but thanks. I've done this stuff all my life, but thanks to you and youtube, I didn't have to worry about it. by the way, the best one on youtube, trust me, I searched.
Gracias un gran trabajo
I followed you step by step for my 2007 Vulcan 900 original clutch cable replacement. Success! thanks to you!
Nice st in the background
Just replaced my cable with your helpful and supportful video. no sugarcoating, no overcomplicating things, short sweet and to the point steps and commands, thank you so much for your help Arlen 😊
Amen and amen! 🙏🩷
very well done
Which full system is this from V and H
Outstanding instructional vid. Thank you for the help! Sub worthy!
Great Video! Any timing chain issue on the front cylinder? My 08 hit 18k miles and valves are in spec, chain slap seems to be the issue.
Good video and communication on step by step process
Thanks
Danke dir Mann, aus Deutschland! Das hab ich super hingekriegt!👍🍺🇩🇪🇩🇪
You could've saved yourself a lot of time by tying off the new cable to the bottom of the old and let it guide the new cable through. Also, wd40 isn't the best lubricant for cables. They make actual cable lube
Outstanding video. Very well done. Thank you.
Thank you for this video, the task no longer seems so daunting. I have a (used) 2010 GZ250. I'm having trouble getting it into neutral both from first or second gear. It appears that my chain is loose. Do you think this is thee main' only reason, or can it be something else?
Thanks for making this. I am a new rider of vulcan s. Learnt so much from ur video. Thanks for keeping things simple as clear to understand.
Thank you Arlen. Great vids on how service VN900. No silly music, clear and concise. Appreciate your time and effort.
Well I can't get the clutch to disengage the motor shuts down can you help me.
The inner sleeve of modern cables is made of teflon, to reduce friction. Usually, is not a good idea to apply WD40 to teflon, because it contains some solvents which can be aggressive on teflon and damage it. Maybe, a solvent-less lubricant such as the good ol' Motul MC Care P4 E. Z. Lube, or the WD40 Silicone Lubricant, is preferable. Anyway, super video! 😀👍

Thankss Very help me😊
Nicely done!
So the adjustment was just switching the position of the washer ?
No there is a lower adjustment too
Great video. Thanks very much for sharing. I forgot to connect the vacuum hose to the gaseline tap and that gave me big troubles
Did you have clutch slipping after this I do I changed clutch plates and followed your video I can't get it right
Is there not enough movement before you feel "weight" of the clutch lever? I would try adjusting it so there is 3-4 "quarters" room before you feel clutch weight just to be sure the slipping isn't related to your cable
Thanks I missed the center adjuster
I can't decide on getting a vulcan 900 or a vtx 1300 for my next bike. Uh.
Love this song!
Can you send me a draft of the fuse box for the Vulcan 900
Awesome video. My cable snapped on my way home from work. My wife had to help me tow it home. After watching this video I easily replaced mine. Thank you so much for explaining so well.
fanastic video bud THANK YOU
Dude absolutely awesome good job 👏
may i ask where you got your air filter cover at or was it stock??
Nice sound😊😊😊
pretty amazing for a pick-up foursome!!
thanks for the video..
i’m hearing almost this same sound on my 06 ranger 4.0 4x4. did you find out what it was?
The wonderfully colorful & eccentric sweaters were a very pleasing supplement to the excellent performance!
Your video saved a United States veterans motorcycle from the scrap yard. Just letting you know and thank you ❤
Wow glad to be of assistance! God bless the USA!
I bought a Vulcan 900 Custom with the same pipes... Got to ride it once before having to put it away for the winter months. In person, the sound is on a whole other level. Has a real nice bark to it when you stab the throttle and the overrun... oh man.
fantastic demo and video - make it look so easy - thank you :)
Hi Arlen. Brand new rider as of July 24, 2023. 2002 Vulcan bobber. Clutch cable snapped on the road but was able to get home. With your video, I was able to replace the cable Sat night and was riding the next day. Thank you so much for saving me time and money. I’m officially a grease monkey and I love it! Thanks again!
Glad I was able to help!
Love the harmony!!! 😊❤🤗👏👏👏😉👍
Very generous contribution of your time and skill, Sir. Your camera work is clear and well angled. You don't waste words, Your lighting is thorough for the viewer. Respect to you. Thank you.
Marlin 08 Vulcan 900 custom two years ago haven't been able to get it to run right yet will not take. It'll barely takes a three-quarter have replace injectors everything to do with the breathing system fuel system 1 fuel pump everything is still can't get his bike run right
So what did you get done? My brkther in laws is doing thd exact same thing and hes being told engine swap.
It was the cam timing chain guide plastic that breaks down and falls apart, causing this noise. I watched a handful of TH-cam videos and replaced the left bank cam chain, guide and sprockets myself WITHOUT pulling the motor. If the sound is coming from the right bank (passenger side) then you need to pull the motor to replace it. The job took me probably 20+ hours of labor, but the dealer quoted me $4k to pull the motor and replace both.
Good video...thanks! How did you do your exhaust and what type of pipe did you use? Does it have a baffle?
Yessss, one of my all time favorites! ❤️👍
How do you refit tube?
