I visited a friend in Phoenix in 2012. Omg, never again. It was September and so hot. Even the dry heat made me sweat profusely. I am from Florida and will take the humid heat any day over the dry heat. I also love that the beach is only 5 mi from my house.

What can I expect to pay monthly for electricity in the summer for a approx 2200-2900 sq ft ranch? That scares me.
There are many factors that go into it that can drastically change the cost. Depending on how efficient the appliances and ac are, the quality of the home insulation, whether the windows are dual pane, if the doors are sealed properly, the amount of devices being used regularly etc. As an average I would say the electricity bill will be around the 150-300 with around 200-225 being the median.

There are tons of construction jobs, lots of small and large construction companies around but we were just touching on the largest employers in the area.
