Everyone's getting treated like indigenous people these days
มุมมอง 1472 ปีที่แล้ว
My experience as a white passing Choctaw enby growing up and today has shown me that the trauma has always been there since the founding of the United States. I'm just realizing what it is way later than most of us. Russell Means said that "white people are the new Indian" meaning that the food stamps, rations and homelessness was first put on the Indigenous but it's now on the elderly, disable...

Waiting times for PCP's 3 months long

On benefits but can't see my own doctor right away. So in a year I might get to be seen four times 😒. If it's an emergency, I can see another physician at the clinic... Possibly. I'm tied to that pharmacy so I have no choice unless I wanna drive 60 miles to Everett. I'm scared cuz this affects everyone. What happens when we can't see our own doctors cuz their case load is miles long!?

Why aren't people upset that disabled HUMANS are kept down?
มุมมอง 922 ปีที่แล้ว
Regardless of where disabled people end up, on the average, they are kept down by society and it's looked at like the cost of capitalism. Like it's normal and nbd that just because someone was born disabled or becomes disabled they must be poor and kept poor. Do average people fear us? Would it be such a problem if we were beside you working in your office maybe fewer hours and with medical ins...

Having ADHD at home with toxic or misinformed parents
มุมมอง 712 ปีที่แล้ว
Growing up before TH-cam and not knowing just how much ADHD affects every aspect of your life beyond academics. Parents just think you're lazy and bratty, doctors don't know why you're exhausted all the time yet hyperactive only when you are pursuing your special interests. It's really difficult!

The Mental Status Exam experience for Continuing Disability

From my perspective, this was one of the most stressful things I've been through. It's up there on the Stress-O-Meter. Hopefully you can find something to relate to so you don't feel like you're the only one going through this

What it's like to get your appointment for the Mental Status Exam and how to navigate the forms and setting up your appointment. They're government documents so I can't show you them on camera, unfortunately. Here's a link to an outline of the process I found that might be helpful: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK320/ It's scary to go through this and it feels like nobody is there for us. In some...

@@CrystalMouse1 you don’t say. You need to straighten up and accept reality. You’re a woman. Act like it. Actually I have a question for you. What is a woman?
I know what you mean about math. I have a book issued by the Department of the Air Force called "Electronic Circuit Analysis" and they start the book with algebra. Talk about a steep learning curve. Your neurones literally explode in your brain when you start to study algebra it is so difficult.
OMG You are such a wonderful personality. I looked here from the Danish channel.
Very sweet of you to say 🌈 a hug and a smile
Your ❤awSOME hun !!!! DONT let PPLE bring u down !
I'm sorry. Can we talk? 🫒🕊
I got em too,,baby.😁 And I'm not either. It is what it is. I'm a young 52. I've developed an autoimmune disease and have a ruined spine. Both are causing me weird all over, what I believe, is the start of paralysis. The last two years have brought a significant decline. Things have been bad, if I'm being honest, for the past few. I, like you, truck through. My family sucks ass, too. We're the scapegoats. I relate to you, on a thousand levels. Be blessed. I appreciate you.xo Oh, and I'm ADHD, and I believe on the autistic spectrum, too.😭🤣 May I ask your age? Not that it matters. Cause really it doesn't.😬🤭
Love your style, too.🔥🤭
@@nomudnolotusnodragonnogold age is basically all about whether you consider and perceive it as a burden or rather an opportunity... I speak seven languages and that's too much of knowledge definitely! 🙂🙃🤨
You're not trash. They're narcissists.
You're beautiful.🔥
Thanks for sharing this history. You are a really good story teller.
My ex got a big dipper tattoo. I always said that the beauty marks on his arms were shaped like the constellation.
That’s a lot… I hope you find the strength and courage to work through it.
Thanks for sharing. Facing review soon and it’s nice to hear someone else’s perspective. Disability has allowed me to find stability in my life that I haven’t had in well over 25 years, I’d be completely lost without it. TBI and PTSD together are very difficult to deal with.
Down Syndrome working at Taco John's cleaning tables. I know her personally. BTW, I'm in a powerchair so don't think I don't know the issues. The largest one is that if you make more than x amount per month you lose your benefits. My med cost run 30k per month. No way I'm finding a job making nearly half a million a year to maintain my medical supplies. LOL
I'm stressed out constantly with the "what if" this happens to my husband. I'm like you, in that, I am fortunate to have a working spouse that does well. But I still feel shitty, like I am an anchor for him. Anyway, glad I found your channel
Wait, are we recorded?? I just had a MSE yesterday. The WORST anxiety ever. Couldn't do the word problems, used my fingers to count backwards and still messed it up. It was TRAUMATIC! Getting and Keeping SSDI should not be this hard,
Did you get approved
So how did the continuing disability review go do you get approved to keep it because I'm gonna get the continuing disability next year so just worried
It went well even though it's always terrifying ngl. I wish I could say that the more you endure the easier it becomes. The only thing I can encourage you with is to remember that anything government sounds way more mean than the actual humans processing your review.
@@CrystalMouse1 You make my anxiety go down thank you 🙂
I am 51 and on SSDI, and I'm currently under review. I was homeless when I was 19, so I worry that I could end up there again. I have a successful TH-cam Channel, and the money I earn there would be all I have, which isn't enough. I Pray to God that I can continue with SSDI because I don't know how I would survive otherwise. Best of luck to you, and always remember, You ARE somebody, and you matter:) Take care.
It's so difficult and we're kinda not thought of which is bizarre. We need more support for sure 🖤
@@CrystalMouse1 I agree. There isn't much information regarding what we go through. It's even harder when you're alone, and being judged by everyone around you who makes you feel as though you're worthless because of the health problems, and the little money we collect from SSDI.
Keep It up ‼️🌊✨
i hope all is well. and you are getting help you deserve. im on the same boat. I hope you get approved it sucks living like this.
Trevor noah didn't say it isn't good for disabled people lol ...he was definitely advocating for you guys but u already attacking him .wtf
He meant well but there's a lot of aspects that he missed because he doesn't live on benefits
@@CrystalMouse1 it is 6 minutes video my sister. He can't cover it all .he doesn't have 20 minutes to cover one topic like oliver .he did what he could do and make people aware what disabled brothers and sisters going through.
@@erikserum9519 I hear you.But I can offer that he could have made the segment about the arguments for or against sub minimum wage factories and the extremely rough rules disabled people are under? 😕 But instead it’s videos with one bias and not the other. I am tough on it because there’s so little exposure for our real experience of capitalism and what IS published has fluffy language (in my opinion). I think we should hold the abled to the fire a little more than we do. We’re too polite
@@CrystalMouse1 in my opinion he summarized pretty good .even me I didn't know before there were different minimum wage for disabled community and I believe they should be paid like other workers in the country coz they are capable human beings and they shouldn't taken as hostage by those who give them a job . There shouldn't be something less than minimum wage for God's sake it is called minimum wage. how the fuck u can make less than the minimum wage coz it should be the minimum wage . I hope they change rules and make better for disabled community to thrive and live better life like any other person
@@erikserum9519 Slavery is alive and well in the disability communities across the United States. Society tries to financially exploit us, while huge cooperation are making record profits off the backs of us.

Hi.. I saw u on the lawyer ssa chanel .was wondering just your opinion can you recieve ssi while waiting for ssdi? Since it takes so long ? Or you get approved for both at the same time? Thanks .
Hi 🙂 there's a waiting period for some reason between when you get a letter saying you are approved for Disability and it'll say that you will receive the SSI amount for a few months then it'll change over to SSDI and you'll receive the SSDI amount. Then 2 years later the Medicare premiums will be taken out. Nobody explained all that to me and it was quite a shock that I had to pay for my own premium out of not very much money. But yes automatically, when getting on SSDI you automatically get SSI in the meantime if approved. That's also when some people receive backpay.
@@CrystalMouse1 ok thanks so much . Hope all is well every now and then I'll say hello 😍
