I have heard a lot of singers do a good job from the middle chair or Tenor chair in the first row or in any of my Bebop Sextets. But, only 3 times did the singer do a noticeably different job singing it. This woman did a great job. Wish I could play a few gigs with her.

I'm sure there's a good reason for the guitar not playing. It's not like they would just let a guitar player who doesn't know his stuff play with that Jazz Band. I'm sure he didn't just say, "Wow I'm really tired. Might as well sit this one out."
