This was only possible because I thought hard enough to create a LUK-hybrid type. I only did this out of love for the class to push its limit. I repeat- no one has done this prior to this attempt because everyone thought it was impossible. See, here’s the problem why people stopped being creative. People stay away from a difficult problem and don’t bother to think of a solution. Then when someone makes a breakthrough and break the odds, people treat it as if everyone can pull it off any day. To answer your question what the point of playing mmorpg if I can do this, well I would really prefer doing it with a party to finish 3 times faster. No one would be crazy enough to solo Endless Tower for 3 hours and 30mins if they can finish faster with a party.

@@LamSieu-cf8ni You are correct. It may be sad that it became solo-play but it’s the only way for the game to survive with so little population. There are so many new games in PC with better graphics to attract the youth. With the age of mobile gaming, the competition is even harder for Ragnarok Online to stay relevant. Also it’s not only Ragnarok Online that aged. We did as well. Back then we can play as a party because we had common free time (after school, weekends). Today most of us are grown up and free time varies from person to person since we have more responsibilities now.

If I want to go full-damage for a specific medium/large monster, I’ll mix 2xTrue Margaretha with 1xMutating White Knight. But I don’t like the idea of not having the same bonus on small sized monsters so I stick with 3x True Margaretha.

That's exactly how someone who didn't stay long to try 3rd jobs would say. No. You can't do everything solo with 3rd jobs even when it was first released in 2008. That's why there were a lot of skill reworks and a couple of level cap increase. But still wasn't enough, so they started adding OCP items in 2017 and this is when some classes started to outshine others. So from 2008 to 2017, that's a whole 9 years of doing hard instances with 3rd job parties. And that's a generous estimation since the first batches of OCP's aren't for every class. Even in this video I had to be creative with the use of OCP gears which aren't suited to my class. It took 3 years of planning and countless trial-and-errors just to survive Valkyrie Randgris. Today there are dungeons that still need 4th job parties to finish because they're extremely hard even with fully-geared members. Let's stop this nonsense about Classic vs 3rd Class debate on which is better. Both are good in their own right. The REAL reason why Ragnarok Online's population is dwindling is because it's an old game with old graphics. Most (if not all) of the players are the same ones playing it 10-20 years ago. I hate to say this but there's little to no chance of getting "new blood" to play this game for the simple reason that there are a lot of games out there with better graphics. And with the era of mobile gaming, it's already a miracle that Ragnarok Online still manages to exist.

I did not say game is dwing because of this or one age is better then another, i just said game lost his essence (at least for me, i'm kinda a nostalgic guy).. I respect your creativity (gz btw) and i do not bealive it was easy.. but u still are able to do it, thats my point. And i agree with you about the last part when u said about population and the reasons.... Indeed its a miracle and i'm glad the game still manage to exist, it just say how good a 20years game is... Btw that is MY point of view, i know and respect that there is people who like it.

@@wiganagames No. Some of the recent MVPs have a skill to nullify GTB effect. It’s quite sad people dismiss how difficult it was for an Arch Bishop (in 2019) to finish this Endless Tower without any skill rebalance just because “GTB was used”. Just watch how hard it was to kill Valkyrie Randgris. GTB alone cannot carry you unless you know what you are doing.

For this video I used Gambler's Seal + Heart Card in Mouth combo to get Flat +4 ASPD, then 90 AGI to get ASPD bonus from Anemos Shield and ASPD enchant on Temporal Luck Boots. For buffs, Canto Candidus, Adrenaline Rush Scroll and Concentration Potion. But this is an old video where Ancilla skill hasn't been updated yet so I resorted to kill Valkyrie using crit-pdodge build. Right now, this is inefficient and obsolete. After some updates, Adoramus became AoE and can change to neutral property if Ancilla is used. Which means Valkyrie Randgris is a lot easier to kill now using a caster-type Archbishop.

Actually the 4th job classes are scheduled to roll out on September lol. Probably they’ll add higher-difficulty dungeons too.

@@carlbianzon7711 LOL for real? I had no notion they were still making new content for this game. I feel like they need to stop. The core systems are way too antiquated and the game is too grindy. I'd only play RO again if they a) fixed the horrible movement glitches and b) found a way to actually reward you with end game level benefits that are guaranteed over time, but also capped so players can't just put more hours (or use bots) to gain benefits well over the rest. Zeny should only go so far to make you look better, but marginally perform better. The higher skilled player should win. Several systems and economy systems together need to change to make this possible. FFXIV is a great model of end game currency rotation, weekly rate limit, capacity limit, spend that currency on something. Essentially at X amount of weeks, you should be able to gear up to current level end game gear just like everyone else, and only people running much much harder content may have marginally better gear but even they aren't getting it much more rapidly than once a week. I don't know how to fix the rare card drop grind issue RO has. That one can stay maybe.

This is the game’s “replay mode” on x2 speed (please refer to bottom right corner of the video) that’s why there are frame skips.

Also, the Tempest & the Magic Exorcist MDEF bypass is for normal monsters. Do you think if your damage against MVP bosses will be higher if you have 100% MDEF bypass against boss type monsters? (I play on iRO Chaos, and it's possible to get 100% MDEF bypass against boss type in multiple ways, so I suppose it's also possible on Thor)

Yes, the +15 awakened x2 True Margaretha is much better than the +15 Valk Hammer x4 True Margaretha, even without enchants because I tried both. As for the Tempest Set, it works on boss monsters as well. There was a time I switched the wrong Shadow Weapon (demon+angel) on Phreeoni and the damage was significantly lower than with the correct one (brute+plant).

The problem is that the game is old so most players already have their own lives/families to live. You can’t just decide the “true essence” of the game based on how you played it in the past. How about those who play at home? They don’t count right, because according to you, they need to play in a net cafe to grasp the true essence of ragnarok? This is meaningless gatekeeping. People find ways to have fun- whether playing with friends, playing solo for challenge, farming to sell items, etc. If you are stuck with the past, you will not enjoy the present and cannot adjust for the future.

I play solo all the time with assasin . But sooner or later it'll get bored no matter what.. it's not being stuck .. just being realistic

in kRO , solo is just for early leveling stages or to clear way weaker dungeons , u still need party to clear the last 2-3 dungeons in patch , it's impossible to clear it solo no matter what ur gears are . but idk in other servers since i've never played it

For GX, RK, Sura and Ranger, yes. For AB, no. This class had it worst. I had to make use of a pre-renewal concept (perfect dodge) just to make this work because of Valkyrie Randgris.

Yes, otherwise it will be extremely hard to do a no-death run using an Arch Bishop. I was actually planning on doing a no-boss-card run but changed my mind after they implemented the Green-Aura to MVP’s. It’s still possible to do but will require a lot of resources.

Yes, but I’m pressed for time so I tend to skip some buffs. At the time of this video, Magnus still cannot be used on non-demon/undead monsters so I had to use Judex. This video is 1hr 49min long in x2 speed so the actual run took around 3hrs 30+mins. If I exceeded 4hrs, I’ll be kicked out so I tried to save time whenever I can.

@@mugensgameoutplayed9017 The struggle is real without this update. In my first AB vs ET video it took me 3hrs 30min to finish because I had to rely on Judex for clearing up non-MVP non-holy monsters.

Dude. I get your point about renewal classes being overpowered now. But please don't make it sound like it's an easy thing to solo Valk/Bee/Ifrit in this vid using an AB. It's not like I'm one-hitting them here. You're calling out the wrong class. I was literally running for dear life against Ifrit for 8 minutes (4min x2 since vid is on ff). And I'm not even using damage skills on Valk/Bee. I just made it work by thinking of a build that can survive. Ragnarok is fun. You are able to experiment on different builds that may or may not work, like this one. Who would've thought a LUK build AB can work? But if your mindset is stuck on "a certain meta" then it really won't be "fun" for you.

I think his point might be that a support class should NEVER be able to solo late/endgame content. I also think like that and i would add that even with dmg classes being capable to go further, they also shouldn't be able to solo endgame content because that makes a "team focused game" pointless.

renewal is definitely more towards solo play instead of group play, back then we need certain strat to kill mvp, certain comp, but in renewal everyone with almost every job can solo shit if played right, sooo yeah, solo players might find it more fun, but as for me and maybe OP, renewal system is not fun

Right now it’s still nerfed to 1030% in iRO since it was recently changed to AoE: irowiki.org/wiki/Adoramus Hopefully we get the 2800% buff fast but probably will be delayed seeing how slow iRO gets the update (we’re still at 3rd jobs with 185/65 max level)

I recommend unahin mo ang Shrine Maiden Hat. Kahit wala munang plus, abang ka na lang ng enriched event saka mo iplus 9 para lumakas lalo damage ng magnus. Sa weapon, Holy Stick ka mura lang yun nakavend. Lalakas lalo damage mo pag nakakuha ka na ng Shoes of Punishment kasi may set effect. Sa shield kahit Exorcism Bible lang muna. Sa armor igrind mo muna Flattery Robe, dun din ako nag-umpisa. Sa Shadow equip, ang top priority mo eh ung Priest Shadow Armor tapos AB Shadow Shield. Tapos buuin mo ang 100% MDEF bypass set na shadow equip.
