Kemet
It does not matter who founded Egypt based on Ethnicity but the truth does. So lets reveal the reality. According to the academic community, Humanity and much of civilization as we know it have their roots in Africa but when it comes to exactness, Hollywood or National Geographic is in complete conflict to truth. The factual accomplishment of Indigenous African on the African continent is either told with dishonesty or taught in a way that we do not learn about its African history.
Now I will totally contradict myself. Race does matter but not in any shape or form of superiority or from a racist concept.
Many of the depictions of the “Ancient” Egyptians portrayed on our television are either de-Africanized or are of Arabic ethnicity, which conflicts yet again considering the Arabs entered Egypt not until 642A.D. The first non-indigenous African to enter Egypt was the Hyksos who were known as the Shepherd Kings, circa 1700 B.C. At a later period we then get a new wave of Non-indigenous African arriving circa 700b B.C. They are known to be the Assyrians, Persians, Greeks Romans, Macedonians and much later arrived the Europeans.
So this explains the change in culture and ethnicity as we see Egypt today. Egypt in antiquity was known as “Kemet” which is totally different to today’s Egypt in modernity.
I visited Sudan 2010 and filmed while entering a couple of tombs. I was in wonder and speechless when I first set my eyes on the reliefs

Who Are These Africans A Picture is worth a thousand words While filming in Egypt 2008, I met this man who was at that time a key holder to one of the tombs at Luxor, West bank. He explained to me that in his spare time, he copies the reliefs from the walls of the tombs using the technique known as stone rubbing, which is a practice of creating an image of surface features of a stone onto paper...

I played the north band circuit for about 10 straight years! Half Moon, Kaisers Kafe, golde/silver seas, holiday inn, Ruins, Mikey Spice, Robby Peart, Boney M, Boy George to keep it short! Played at the sugar mill on half moon grounds! ...haunted! Just turn your back on the mill at nights and feel how many stared you feel! And don't bugg out by cats squealing Like babies as far as you can hear! Place is haunted! In the days on the golf course areas big green lizards stare at you with very appealing eyes! I am not the squeamish type, I am doubtful Thomas until check things out thoroughly! Upfront and personal! I am the type who will sleep in a graveyard and, I have! ...s#@t you don't wanna hear about! I pass the great house night and day but, never been in and around it. The time I thought about doing so I usually thought I would make easy spare time so, nothing would play with my perceptions of the place! One day I will! ....
Is the wallpaper in the dining room original? The green one? Wasn't that green colour made from arsenic?
I hope they changed it, that stuff poisoned people in the victorian times
That witch was the Hillary Clinton of her time!!!!
Great stuff my dude! Under watched and underrated video!
She mad Bab me go schools trip the one in red can stop look on me
😑😑😛😛😰😨😱😱👀👀👀👀
Yes I love it, all I see is carnival, that we have in london. When we came over here we brought are culture of the indigene american indians. It's a beautiful thing no matter how they try to suppress are culture etc. When we look at the America's we all have the same culture linking us to the lands of America's and no where else. Nanny and cudjoe maroons are arawak indians. They are not Africans.
Jonkannu is Igbo
Africans do not have carnival. They do not dress up as Indians. Also Africans do not have a junkanoo festival or culture. You cant Africanise orginal inhabitants culture from the Americas. The culture in the west indies or the Americas is nothing to do with Africa. Go study the culture in the Americas. . And stop being brainwashed and indoctrinated by cacauasins and Africans telling you everything comes from them.
It really is really sweet nothing but sugar
Didn't the slaves burned the house after she was killed
I miss these things back in the days, why am I not seeing kankunu again?
I go on school trip today here
I did today

This is the first time I can look at this without running a screaming my head off. As a child I was sooooooooooooooooooooooo afraid of the Jonkonnus. OMG! I would run and hide under the bed. this was very scary....
awsome
jonkunu sounds a bit like rake n scrape
Yes I. I looked into that while filming in Jamaica
Caribbean culture is so fascinating. We all have so much similarities but we call it different things or celebrate at different times.
Ava Wilson Yes Queen, so true. Bless up
Big up the culture
Yes, filmed in Kingston along Spanish Road
This man needs to do some more research. It is part of an african religion, the religion of the igbos in nigeria
I'd say it's a conflation of West African and Western European traditions, such as the British or Irish mummers' play. Also a lot of correspondences with the Padstow 'Oss and the Minehead Sailors' Horse. You should find footage of these here on TH-cam. I don't know enough about African dances and customs to come up with an informed opinion, but it reminds me a bit of the Dogon funeral dances from Mali too.
@@irateofwatford aint nothing european about junkanoo
Jeeesh....... better smoke a spleef if you want to understand her story. Still couldn't understand where she stabbed her 2nd husband........ hot oil in the ears? That remove the wax........
They do know that this comes from igbo culture from nigeria right?
They are full aware of its African "root era" connection. Apparently 99% of the Enslaved Africans the English kidnapped and put into degradation were of Igbo. They also reminded that their is a difference between "Jonkonnu and root Jonkonnu." The former being mixed with shakespearian elements and the latter in mostly rural Jamaica and therefore kept it's African culture. Bless
Nice nice. Keep the africa culture alive. Too much americanisation in jamaica
Howard Cassells Yes I for real. Blessment
This lady did the tour for my group in August, 2014. Very interesting (and yes, the head does appear to turn to follow you).
Come on guys the head doesn't actually turn, do they??
I love Jamaican men like this!!!!
Then I am in luck!
Andrew GOODSTARTMEDIA I don't know Andrew, you don't look old enough, and do you even have the right pots like Byron?
Hathormaat47 Lol
Hathormaat47 Yes I do have some pots like that. They are called dutch pots in Jamaica and are made out of aluminium. They really contain the flavours. How can I message you and give you a link to Facebook?
Andrew GOODSTARTMEDIA I know about dutch pots. I don't do facebook or pics or anything of that sort. My views and profession don't mix, that's why. Does Byron know that you've placed him on the American market as an eligible bachelor...lol. I'm sorry, but everytime I see him at the beginning of the video, I laugh...because of his wet pants in the back and barefeet...sorry...it's just funny to me...lol. I'm not really making a joke of him, because he IS the type of man that I deal with.
amazing how you see the African culture being alive in the islands.
lol too funny.
Yes I. It was filmed in Kingston last year. It was magical to say the least. Please support as much as possible as their are only 6 troupes left. Born out of the diaspora and rooted in history, these guys are keeping it real. Andrew
